    Perhaps he’s starting to slow with age and it contributes to his frustration knowing he isn’t close to a Super Bowl.

    I don’t think anyone is blaming Allen for the loss. The fair question in the OP is what more can he do. The obvious answer being to avoid the game-changing INT in the fourth quarter. Reality is that Allen’s monumental effort and big numbers were still smattered with turnovers/misreads/miscommunication in the clutch.

    McDermott and Beane have to go (they won’t). This regime is shot. There’s a soft underbelly in both the approach and roster construction. They’ll always be good enough to not get blown out in the big games.

    Hurts was unstoppable in the fourth quarter and overtime and won the game. Allen was great, but left the game up to his defense.

    Can’t knock the effort. Terrific game. It seems the Bills always make just enough mistakes or leave just enough plays on the field to inevitably fold and blow the wild ones.

    Couple things. What is “player of the week” criteria? Also, I think this speaks to Mahomes’s consistency. Allen’s highs are high, but it seems there’s an equal amount of befuddling performances.

    I do think that carries weight in sports. Although home field advantage may offset as far as focus and energy.

    I get that sense as well. Even still, I would have never believed you’d get 25-30 sacks from Epenesa, Floyd, Oliver, and Bernard at this juncture. They’ve been good.

    Miller was never going to be effective this season. The question is whether he should be playing at all. I still think some of the quickness and fluidity returns next year, but I’d prefer he wasn’t working out the kinks right now by taking a game day spot.

    Nothing about this matchup makes me feel like the Bills have a chance. And I’m not even sure crazier things have happened.

    Parity in the AFC is brutal. Contenders will suffer more losses, but it’s hard to be encouraged when the Bills are staring at 6-7.

    Shakir is a bright spot, no doubt. Hopefully he finds more success and consistency than McKenzie as his role elevates. His catch/run/TD tonight was a strike of confidence.
