I wish Kim pegula was healthy enough to make a statement here. Her voice is missed right now.
Why, because she’s female? So what?- 4

Two other teams drafted punters before the Bills took Araiza, who was clearly the highest rated punter in the draft.
Why did they know enough not to pick him and the Bills did not?
Did the Bills know and take a chance that it would just go away?
Otherwise, why did the Bills think he was dropping and teams were drafting other punters?
McD looked uncomfortable and pissed off to be in that situation.
If they knew anything it would’ve leaked and the “slide” narrative would’ve commenced. They passed on Araiza because he was a one-dimensional booming punter. The silly social media hype didn’t translate to actual scouting evaluations and thus other punters were rated on par with him.- 1

Tim Graham and Joe Buscaglia are enthralled and obsessed with this. They are truly moral superiors.

Bills in mid-season 4th & 1 form.

That headline seems designed to generate clicks and cast aspersions on the Bills. Why would they ever talk to the plaintiff's lawyer?
Talk to law enforcement, talk to private investigators. Just like in the McCoy case that's been cited a few times in this thread...
He's quick to condemn to get pats on the back from his moral media brethren. You don't even need to read the article after seeing the headline. Did Mina Kimes chime in this afternoon?

Bottom line is he's going to get cut eventually. Likely next week. Everyone knows it. It's unfortunate and it's weak, but it's the political climate with this stuff.

Buscaglia with hard-hitting tweets about Araiza's lack of team-issued sweatpants.

Araiza is in the building! ARAIZA IS IN THE BUILDING!! aRaiZA iS iN tHE bUILdiNG!!!!!!

How is this a distraction for fans? It's pure entertainment.

Jets have a nice group with Davis, Moore, and Wilson. Berrios still has upside. Might as well give Mims to the Bears for a 5th.

You know - it would really scare teams if we just decided to go for it on every 4th down this year.
In the end, we'd probably score more, also. Sure, we'd come up short a few times - but more often than not, we'd probably make it.
Yeah right. Like Allen slipping at the goal line in Tennessee? Bills do not execute in the clutch. But don’t get me wrong, it’d be fun.

So coming up on 20 hours since the news broke nationally and he's still a Buffalo Bill? Yeah, I'm going with the Bills investigating it and confident he did nothing criminal.
Bottom line is he shouldn't be axed based on a civil allegation. And especially only when it becomes public. Nothing changed between Wednesday and Thursday besides injecting the self-righteousness of social media and tribal opinion.

I agree it's unlikely they keep 4 TEs. But it sounds like they're high on both Sweeney and Morris - and the Giants would likely sign either/both if cut. I think it's more likely they're leaning toward keeping both Sweeney and Morris on the 53 and shopping Howard.
Cam Lewis is the interesting fringe player especially now that they're working him at safety.

I think they may keep Lewis and put Tre White on PUP.
The choice is Smith/Spector when he's activiated. I don't think Boettger plays this season, perhaps injury settlements or outright release.

Bills fan legal analysis is fun. Glad Araiza is traveling and hopefully playing tonight. No silly “indefinite suspension” appeaser is warranted at this point.

Very concerned about the corners. White won’t be full go for quite awhile. But I’m even more concerned about the OL. This team isn’t as iron clad as a lot of people seem to be assuming.

They were "recently made aware" like today most likely. Don't kid yourself
Bills said they "conducted a thorough examination." It's highly likely they learned about it after the draft. But I can't imagine they "conducted a thorough examination" only after deciding to cut Haack - and make a public statement claiming such. If they cut Haack, they're comfortable with their assessment.

I dont think so for 3 reasons.
1. This has been investigated for a year and no criminal charges have been handed out yet.
2. Araizas Lawyer is denying that he was even in the Bedroom
3. Sounds like Bills looked into the situation previously
1. True, but still sets up a potential lengthy suspension...for a rookie punter.
2. Irrelevant
3. Best point
4. Hopefully Bills won't give in to any sort of public/ESPN pressure to cut him prematurely. They should stand by their assessment of the situation - the fact it goes public changes nothing factually - and let the process play out.

I don't understand why people can't just read the article.
Don't care that much, not that interested, don't have time, etc. and opt to partake in the ole newsgroup based on headlines and others' comments.

Nearly impossible to know who or what to believe anymore. Deviance, exploitation, criminality, and desire for the benefits/protections of victimhood - all rampant.

There has got to be a criminal investigation into something like this...
Matt Araiza accused of rape, served with a lawsuit.

Or they’re conducting due diligence amidst changing circumstances.
The fact it’s a lead story speaks more to how bizarre it is that people seem to care so much - whether their motivations are political, exploitative, self-righteous, or, far less likely, out of genuine concern.
At the end of the day, this is just low brow entertainment.
