    231: R7 P10 FB Zander Horvath - Purdue

that would be a very interesting first 4 picks!! Not against it. Would create lots of speculation about Gabe Davis/McKenzie though.  I do like the idea of having lots of depth at WR. Different weapons to rotate.

    Diggs

    Davis

    Rookie

    Crowder

    Rookie

    McKenzie

    Kumerow

    Cut/Traded: Stevenson and Hodgins

Literally, you can look at Diggs then existing contract and say there was no need to act..............not  just "technically".

You can't keep everyone at their happiest as a GM.........sometimes players are going to want for things.

I think Beane did a pretty good job keeping Diggs at bay on an extension for a couple years.........but ultimately the objective should have been to get him to the offseason before his walk year and see where he stood going into his age 30 season.

Beane blew all of his gains by having him at 3/4 of the market by re-inking him at the top of the market, IMO.

People can disagree but I think this deal ends with 2-3 years left and a lot of dead money.

Diggs being rewarded for coming here, working, producing at an elite level, being best friends with your QB and turning into a leader….giving him an extension shows the entire roster and NFL that Buffalo is a first class organization. Any other opinion on the matter is just taking a dump on the team for no logical reason

I love Diggs as a player, but I'm not in love with this contract extension.

There's a handful of comparable WR out there. Kupp, Hopkins, Adams, and Hill are all almost 30 years old with multiple elite seasons.

Of those guys Diggs has the least team friendly contract (not to mention he signed this 4 year contract extension while he still had 2 years remaining on the original contract). The dead cap amounts 4/5 years from now when he's 32/33 years old are pretty eye-opening.  His current cap hit isn't small enough to justify that sort of dead cap that far down the road.

Oh well. If it helps us win a SB I could give a ***** about future cap implications. The cap is more guidelines than actual rules anyway

How exactly is it not team friendly?  It’s an avg of 20 mil over 6 years. Not 26-30 mil. It also allows Bills an out in 3-4 years if need be

To much.  before the easy outs we are talking in the 9M AAV range.

his hit this season is 10.7 already

He hasn't really all he's done is change agents in a year where he's trying to get extended. His wife is the one that's saying things and she doesn't appear to have a filter for things like this.

his wife has clearly stated they Love the Bills and want to win us a SB

Yeah, I agree that it seems like Jada, I mean Rachel, might be this guy's undoing

Why? Because she advocates for her guy to get what he deserves? Perhaps the fans are jealous they don’t have a woman who looks like her AND supports them.

  9. Trading up for Stingley or Sauce is inticing…

but how about moving up for Thibodeaux instead. He is a game wrecker. Von and him along with Rousseau rotating is an extremely good Edge group.  That kind of consistent pressure helps your secondary.

Draft a CB like Alontae Taylor in mid rounds to be coached up behind a UFA Vet this year

This regime has shown they can take a Undrafted CB and make him into a decent player….

they may not hold a premium value on the position like many fans think they should

That may be how Beane wants it to look.   He's got $3.5M for a CB.  Are Nelson/Rhodes and Callahan all going to say No?   There has to be a little nervousness in some of the FA CB circles.  A lot of CBs still out there and the draft will eliminate CB needs for a lot of teams.

Beane could be playing a late game of hardball to get a quality CB in for less than Wallace money.  I like the idea.

CB Chris Harris Jr. age 32.  Bills wanted him a few years ago. $ should be reasonable. Knows Von.

If Poyers wife could shut her mouth for a week or so, maybe the Bills would be able to work something out. Yeah, he is awesome and probably deserves a raise, but this girl has to complain any time the bills throw any money at anyone.

I’m sure Beane has better things to do that fret over her tweets. Beane and Drew R. will work out a new contract
