I was thinking about this yesterday.

The Bills have been eliminated from the playoffs two seasons in a row by a team with a super speedy wide receiver. They know firsthand how difficult it is to defend an offense that features one.

Beane's famous line is that your playoff losses show you where your team is at, and where it's deficient. They've already addressed the pass rush, but could they also be thinking that team speed on offense -- specifically a dynamic playmaker at WR that changes the way the defense has to play -- is the other big need?

McDermott recently said "there's no substitute for speed". Beane recently said "if you see another guy out there like Tyreek Hill, let me know".

Maybe it's wishful thinking on my part because I love Jameson Williams and he's my number one draft crush...but could a trade-up for Williams be in the works? It would cement the Bills offense as elite for the next several years.

    Please please please please....

Really well said and 1000% want Jamo🐘

he said at the Combine he’d love to play with Josh Allen.

we’ve invested $250 Million. It makes sense to complement his abilities with as many weapons as possible.

Beane needs to somehow pull off Williams AND Breece Hall🤩

Lol ESPN just had the bills take breece hall over Andrew booth... not saying it's impossible but I would be very upset if beane went RB over arguably the 2nd best CB in the draft.

It was mentioned earlier many in NFL think Booth may not be a 1st round pick

And we get Bradberry , Barkley and a 7th overall pick

This. Except…Toney instead of Barkley. Draft Williams and we still move up in 2nd round for Breece Hall.

    WR1 Diggs  WR2 Davis  WR3 J.Williams

    Slot Crowder/McKenzie/Williams

    WR/HB Flex:  Toney

    RB: Hall, Singletary

    Y E S

  5. Football Outsiders Analytics Ranking:

    Breece Hall, Iowa State

    BackCAST Score: +149.1%
    Type of Back: Receiving
Similar Historical Prospects: Dalvin Cook, LaDainian Tomlinson

Breece Hall is a fantastic running back prospect. Although he comes short of Jonathan Taylor's titanic projection, that is a bit like losing to Michael Jordan in a slam dunk contest—no shame there. Hall has the fourth-highest BackCAST projection of all time, falling behind only Taylor, Ricky Williams, and Saquon Barkley.

  6. Bears want more picks.

Teams are calling about Robert Quinn per Ian R.

    18.5 sacks last year.

Age 31 with a 12.5 mil hit: deal could be restructured

    how about a 4th and a 6th for Quinn?

two elite Edge rushers. Rousseau and Basham can learn and be in rotation.

In what fantasy land does anyone want Epenesa Hodgins and Moss even if they were FA, let alone giving up major assets for lol them giving us an interest free 1st rd loan... one that started as a 7th and turned into pick 32 lol this is sooooo bad

Oh I don't know....maybe the GM of the Giants and the HC of the Giants who already know the players well

You’re 100% correct. The Big 12 has a lot of terrible defenses that turn every RB in the conference into a broken tackle machine.

He also has the most forced missed tackles in the NCAA since 2020

My whole problem with this positional value and seting the market. I get that as a player you wanna get paid but when is it enough, after your contact ducks your team. Is that right, when a good teammate is shown the door because your contact pays so much the team had to let them go. It's just selfish if you ask me.

Ask how an employee at say the electric company gets laid off or let go along with 49 others, but the VP there gets his 12 million dollars because it's in his contact and the electric company doesn't want to get sued. Without the VP, those people keep there jobs.

Think about ING that had to get bailed out by the government because all those bankers had contracts paying them millions and all the regular workers just got screwed. We live in a screwed up world on how we value things, I just wish a high profile player would have the balls to say a certain amount is enough, let's keep the team together. There's a ton more to say on the subject but that's it for me. The NFL is greedy and made the players greedy to. If I hear one more person say " I gotta get mine " I'm gonna blow there ________brains out.

Money doesn't make the world go round, greed and power does.

    Rant, rant, rant.

I don't have a problem with it, one less contact to worry about. Maybe 2 if you let Knox walk next year

I imagine Josh Allen will restructure his deal if needed to keep Knox. They are very close

  11. Beane could pull of something like this:

    2023 1st

    2022 4th

    Edmunds  (keep Oliver and Knox)

    Hodgins  (no room on roster)

    Epenesa  (we can re-sign Hughes)

    Moss  (needs a fresh start)

for 7th overall and keep 25.

    Jamo at 7

then at 25 trade down to Seattle who covets a QB still on the board for 40,41. We toss in something else to balance it. But yes..

    7. Jameson Williams

    40. Breece Hall

    41. CB Booth if there / best available CB

    57. TE/LB

    89. CB/DE/OL

LB Dodson has been here a few years. They may believe he can start

    BIG BALLER BEANE

The top 3 possibilities that drafting Breece Hall in round 1 open up:

    1. Taking the ball out of Josh Allen's hands more.

    2. Keeping the RB's as a group from getting into a rhythm by dividing carries even further.

    3. Potentially lowering the production per play from the alternative of handing it off to the very productive Devin Singletary.

I understand that Hall tested well but he didn't have a better college career rushing the football than Devin Singletary and neither were exceptional pass catchers.

Singletary's NFL career 4.7 yards per carry is not going to be easy to substantially upgrade from.    For reference,  the revered Johnathon Taylor has a career 5.3 ypc.........just a half yard per carry more.........and that's a high end result.     The odds are actually much greater that Hall will produce less ypc than Singletary..........because most highly drafted RB's do.

    No defense fears Devin Singletary.

    They will fear Breece Hall.

He is a Dynamic RB who can be a weapon in the passing game.

that element to this offense puts every defense in a lose lose scenario on how to defend us….

  13. Let’s assume the trade up to 7 happens

who might still be on the board that they covet?

    Sauce

    Stingley

    Thibodeaux

    Hamilton

    Williams

Reasons why these players make sense

    Sauce - Complete package

Stingley - LSU with Tre White. Extremely high ceiling

Thibodeaux - with Von Terrorize AFC QB
Hamilton - D Chess piece line up all over

    Williams - Abomb for Allen

    who would you like most?
