  1. That would be pretty funny! I believe Bills can do that at their whim without the player being notified in advance
  2. we can offer 28 mil guaranteed (see Cover 1’s breakdown)
  3. here we go again with the CAP!! Teams who have Owners that are willing to throw Cash $ around get to play by a slightly different set of rules.
  4. maybe we won’t offer as much $ as the Panthers, Falcons, Browns, etc but we can offer a fair amount (more $ than OBJ got) if we want to
  5. let’s pray that never has to be discussed
  6. his drop rate is 1% over the last 3-4 seasons. I’ll say it again: that is something the Bills badly need. We led the league in drops.
  7. interesting. I suppose you could make that case. he does have 15 TDs over the last 2 years + 5 career playoff TDs though
  8. the cap watchers are a nervous wreck just thinking about the ramifications in 2026-2028! (Nevermind $ can always be moved around and the cap is going way up) YOU WILL COMPLY with their budget for the Bills and like it!
  9. Hopkins may still be a Top 5 WR with an elite QB throwing to him. Having 2 on the field together gives your team a competitive advantage over pretty much everyone
  10. Randy Moss on the Raiders type thing. Look what happened when the “aging” Moss got a top QB throwing him the ball
  11. KC traded up in the 2nd and took WR Rashee Rice. They spread the ball around regardless. His opportunities here can be as much as they would in KC. Diggs 110 receptions Hopkins 90 receptions Allen had 359 completions last year Estimate he gets to 380 this season so 200/380 go to Diggs & Dhop. Seems realistic to me! that leaves 70 for Kincaid, 50 for Davis, then 60 between Harty, Sherfield, Shorter, Shakir & the RBs
  12. Restructure Tre White and offer DHop the Cover1 proposal 3 years 42 mil, up to 54 mil with incentives. 28 mil guaranteed with void years and spread the cap hit. It works. 4 mil hit this year, 6.5 mil hit next year
  13. Reid + Mahomes + Kelce + their OL > Bills Current Offense Kelce gets as many targets as Diggs it seems simple enough that Hopkins chooses BUF if the offers are the same. He’s openly praised the franchise multiple times. He hasn’t done that with KC. He named Allen as the top QB he wants to play with. His Buffalo Solider thing wasn’t a coincidence. He obviously knew there was a real chance he was being traded here at that time
  14. he literally named Josh Allen as his #1 QB he’d like to play with. he won’t get more $ from KC. They have less cap wiggle room than us. his targets can be apprx the same here as in KC. He’s option 1B in both places
  15. well, nothing is out there yet. Hopefully your friend was either given wrong information / KC employees are hoping they get him, but don’t know anything beyond that If KC can afford him, so can the Bills.
  16. Is your buddy a KC fan? Has he joked / lied to you before? KC has even less financial wiggle room than the Bills….so that would be extremely disappointing
  17. this! With Allen, we’ll still be contenders once some of the current top players on this team leave/retire. KC was supposed to be “rebuilding” last season and won the SB. Mahomes + Kelce is far and away better than anything any other team has. Allen + Diggs + Hopkins + Kincaid is an incredible lineup for 2-3 years
  18. right, that’s why I’m suspicious
  19. that’s the one. The account is suspect though. Maybe someone can confirm whether that looks like the Buffalo airport or not
  20. There’s a post on twitter with a picture that’s clearly DHop and someone else claiming to be at the Buffalo airport. I’m not familiar with the airport though so cannot verify. The account is suspect. The pic is real, but I don’t know which airport it’s actually from
  21. it’s likely AZ was unwilling to pay any of the $ at the time and therefore the acquiring team would have needed the cap space to take on his deal before a restructure how is adding a top 10 WR to your offense a wasted investment? It makes everyone else better and your offense is harder to stop. I love the Kincaid pick, and he may be great. But, why rely on a rookie TE to be your #2/3 option when you can add this player. It also helps Kincaid….as he is going to be an afterthought by defenses and will be open most of the time
  22. Another thing to consider here….if Josh Allen lets it be known to Beane he’d really like Hopkins….that certainly could increase our willingness to offer more $
