Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
Warriorspikes51 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
considering we had 1-2 mil in space, I’d imagine they wanted 5-6 mil opened up from Ed’s extension (even if it’s not for a specific UFA) gives them some flexibility -
I wanted DaQuan extended. Not thrilled about this contract, but I suppose if he takes a step forward this season it’s fine. Though I see no reason to expect he should. Maybe the staff and front office do from OTA’s

it’s probably an executive hoping to drive his market down by saying that -
Can his entire base this year be converted into the signing bonus?
-
Think it’s possible this deal has a few void years? I’m guessing this opens up 5-8 million in cap right now?

FWIW, Travis Kelce predicts him to be a Bill or Dolphin -
For the sake of argument, if he were to come here, what’s the RB chart like? Delvin 1A James 1B Harris - Short yardage, goal line Hines - KR & PR Murray to PS? the RB market has been pretty cheap this offseason. It’s possible would sign for 2-3 million and get to be with his brother

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)

I’ll predict that IF he does take a visit here, we sign him I take it the Bills not “going All in” on him simply means they aren’t willing to meet his current asking price, which is likely 15-19 mil per. The longer this goes, it would seem less likely any team will give him that $ -
Why did Isaiah McKenzie fail as starting Slot WR?

yes. IF if if Harty can stay healthy, his analytics have been elite when on the field and given opportunities. Explosive player who plays bigger than his size -

Happy July 4th? Haha well the longer this goes, it’s more likely his price drops a little -
I expect that as well

https://www.outkick.com/minnesota-vikings-could-throw-a-major-curve-into-dalvin-cook-post-june-1-plans-if-they-wish/ “The Vikings now have the opportunity to use the NFL’s post June 1 salary cap rule that allows them to save some $9 million of cap room and carry only $5 million in dead money by simply cutting their dynamic but highly paid running back after Thursday.” “Cook is from Miami. Has has made it known through sources he’d like to play either for the Dolphins or with his brother James Cook on the Bills. And the Vikings have let it known Cook probably isn’t in their future.”

The article from Graham has league executives acting like Buffalo is helpless. It takes 1 restructure to free up 6 mil in space. (which reportedly we have looked into with Tre White) Make it a 2 year deal worth 12 mil per and incentives on top of that, add a few void years....and his hit in 2023 can be less than 6 million -

Bingo. This is just TIMMAH Graham pretending we can't simply restructure Tre or Dion and then add void years to any contract to spread the hit The article does claim they confirmed Beane spoke directly to Hopkins -

I'm sure Timmy Graham couldn't wait to open his mouth about this topic You mean the same radio station that said he was traded to the Titans during their update weeks ago.....and then never apologized for it -

In other news.... I am NOT all in on today's lunch. I've listened/watched/had conversations....but I'm not jumping into those calories. It's a bigger story amongst the chefs and bakers than my co-workers Really? There are at least 3 Bills who have vocally wanted him here and 2 more if you include their interactions on IG. Do you think they give a blank about "character/process" ? No. They want a Championship -
Trading Donald would be the toughest move of general manager Les Snead’s career. One could argue it would also be a smart one. Donald, 32, is entering the twilight of his career. He currently has two years left on his deal with the Rams, including cap hits of $26 million and $34.1 million before a void year in 2025. Meanwhile, Los Angeles is short on talent and long on needs. If the Rams trade Donald post–June 1, they save $35.1 million over the upcoming two seasons while also netting much-needed draft capital. On that front, the picks should be excellent considering Donald is the best defensive player of his era, and would cost the acquiring team only $13.5 million and $10 million, respectively.
