That is correct. I liked it better when there were 6 teams in the playoffs. It's almost like the NHL & NBA now, nearly half the teams get in.

Mayfield's best plays are when he's able to roll out & make throws. Teams figured this out and try to contain him in the pocket. He's too short, and actually slow. Definitely has an NFL arm, but the throwing lanes are harder on the short QBs. The other thing that's an intangible is Mayfield's attitude. It's no secret he went away from the team doctors in Cleveland & found one to clear him to play through that shoulder injury. Ultimately, it damaged his career in Cleveland, as he lost the locker room. He could have been even more of a king in Cleveland than LeBron.

Currently GB is 6-5 vs the NFC & Seattle is 5-6. They didn't play eachother so it would go to the conference record tiebreaker. Lions, Seahawks & Packers all even at 8-8. I have no idea why GB is 9, possibly because they are 3-2 in the NFC North while the Lions are 4-1. I remember back in the 1970s the Bears won an obscure point differential tiebreaker over the Redskins.

The Browns eliminated themselves, but that would be a bad matchup for the Bills. I thought they played us very well, we were lucky that game got put in a dome.

I've been to Buffalo, Cleveland, St. Louis, Indy, Arizona, Tennessee, Cincy, Houston, Dallas & Pittsburgh. All positive experiences for the most part. A few drunks (or many) will ruin anybody's day and they're everywhere. I happen to think Steelers fans are the dumbest, most-fair weather fans in the league. The NFL didn't begin in 1972 contrary to their beliefs. Dallas is weird. It's a very quiet place unless the Cowboys are up at least 2 scores. The domes in Indy, St. Louis, Arizona, & Houston make it seem like you're in a theater.

True. It's just timing on some of this stuff. Sometimes the top 2 teams in the NFL reside in the same conference, & somebody gets knocked out and doesn't reach the SB. Steelers vs Raiders in the 70s, Browns vs Broncos in the 80s, Cowboys vs 49ers, Colts vs Pats, etc. are some good examples. Bills D should be the difference this season regardless of home field or not. Their pass rush is better than KC or Cincy, and barring a fluke, the other 4 AFC playoff teams won't break through those 3.

KC 14-3 Cincy 13-4 Bills 13-4 Tenn 8-9 Balt 11-6 LAC 10-7 NYJ 10-7 Chargers would play at Bills. They're kind of schizoid, but I don't see them winning that. So the Bills would have the Cincy/NYJets winner in round 2.

Bills just came off of 3 straight games they were supposed to win. The NFL does that with the contenders every season. Remember when the Broncos were going to be a "threat" in the AFC? Not KC's fault the Broncos suck so bad. It's obviously coming down to the Bills, Chiefs, & Bengals. The rest of the chasers are way more flawed and need a ton of fortune to get to the SB. I wouldn't sweat it too much honestly. The Bills seem built to win anywhere, home field won't guarantee a dam thing.
