  1. Lol, yes. They should definitely get the Texans' picks from the Watson trade. I still cannot believe the Texans weren't punished for enabling Watson.
  2. I'd say that was right up there with the Oilers blowing a 35-3 lead as the worst loss in NFL playoff history.
  3. True, but they are both "heavy" football cities with glory days long long ago, with a few singular good season sprinkled in every now & then.
  4. I think that's today's NFL in a nutshell. Teams basically have 80% of their payroll invested on about a dozen players. All 32 teams are kind of gambling with their payroll/roster.
  5. Please add Cleveland & Detroit lol
  6. Florio is a hack who's job is like Stephen A Smith...get reactions from the public. He's an op-ed guy in general, somtimes has interesting views or analysis on the CBA, etc. He lost a lot of credibility with me when he defended the Houston Texans in their handling of Deshaun Watson.
  7. He's a WR. By law it seems the good ones are always different & difficult. The Jerry Rice's & Fred Bilitnekoff's are long gone.
  8. Agree. He's the TV version of Mike Florio.
  9. While Stefanski's job is indeed on the line, they already have 9 WRs on the roster. Probably unlikely he goes there unless the Brinks truck backs up to the building Crazy stat....Burrow is 1-5 vs the Browns, so even though Cincy has had this playoff run, they aren't better than CLE on the field.
  10. I sure hope so but I'm not so sure anymore. Let's see how September goes.
  11. I kind of agree. The NFL bent over backwards to "help" the Bills and they still blew it. Flat as a pancake against Cincy in the playoffs. Adding D Hop doesn't guarantee anything but should help. Hopefully Diggs won't cry about it if it happens.
  12. Yes!!! Thom Darden Roger Wehrli....wait he was inducted 2007
  13. Greed greed & more greed. The only good news that may come of this is the possibility that we can pay for select games on a streaming service in the future, which would be better than the NFL Sunday Ticket package.
  14. Eric Metcalf Brian Mitchell
  15. Kevin Greene Troy Polomalu There's simply way too many Steelers in the HOF. If Polomalu didn't have that long mane of hair, nobody would know who he was.
  16. I hate opening a season against a division opponent. It shouldn't ever happen.
  17. Yet to be seen if the Browns made a monumental mistake. I get it, the Browns have a horrible track record, but they did what they thought they had to do. Lurking beneath their reputation is a pretty decent football team, & if Watson can shake the cobwebs off the Browns will definitely be a factor in the AFC this season.
  18. Yeah, like the back-to-back Detroit games.
  19. The red bold is a big part of what made BB & the Pats great. The other thing that sometimes gets brushed under the rug, is that sometimes you just have a team's number. Some of those Steelers teams were very very good, but they simply couldn't beat the Patriots. Colts & Chargers as well.
  20. All 32 teams basically play Russian Roulette with the salary cap. It's a gamble on many levels. Let's face it, continuity is very hard in today's NFL. Letting go of productive players is real tough, but teams do it all the time.
  21. The NFL tried to help us out though- moving a game into a dome that involved 2 outdoor teams, and potentially a game in Atlanta (a dome) with another two outdoor teams. The Bills didn't come through.
  22. Total extortion. NFL is so greedy, takes advantage of the fan bases. Ticket money & PSL money are just gravy after the TV deals. Ticket Revenue
  23. He's clearly the best QB in the league. It's very possible that when he hangs it up, he'll be a top 3 QB of all time. Its always hard to accept great players on other teams, especially when your team is so close to being a champion.
  24. Football was invented in Canton, Ohio fyi
  25. Yep. Crazy to think about it this way, but most NFL games come down to making about 4 or 5 critical plays each game. The teams that make them more often end up 13-3, 12-5, while the ones who don't end up 4-13, 7-10, etc. Every season half the playoff teams from the prior season don't make it, and half make it from the outside. The talent level is so close among the 32 teams it's not funny. It's the teams with the top QBs who rarely fade out of it....the Bills should be ok next year unless Allen goes down.
