  1. Same. They were really banged up with injuries (like the Bills). Never saw a team with 3rd & 4th string starting OTs make the playoffs, especially after losing a stud RB in Chubb and the predator at QB.
  2. The Bengals is what I'm referring to. Many Bills fans perceive the Bengals & Chiefs as the lone AFC threats to Buffalo.
  3. Correct. There's a portion of our fan base that thinks KC & Cincy are the only teams that stand in the Bills way. It's not 2021 anymore, lol.
  4. Right. They finished behind Cleveland, who was also decimated with injuries, & Pittsburgh, who had QB issues. Yes, Burrow makes a difference but Cincy is still the 4th best team in the AFC North.
  5. BenGals went 9-8 last season. Not convinced they are a threat.
  6. Big Ben was weird from day 1. Imagine being that talented, and playing all those years, never getting any kind of endorsement deal(s). The guy was shady, maybe as much as Watson, but the sheriff in Georgia let him off the hook.
  7. Funny thing is that John Elway was the mastermind behind this. Denver's QB situation has been real bad for awhile. Paxton Lynch is still out there haha.
  8. No. Denver & Pittsburgh deserve another 30 years of crap football.
  9. Bills @ Baltimore, MNF. The real MVP vs the voted MVP
  10. I think it's fixable short-term, but long term maybe not. I think that's the same problem Mayfield has, trusting what he sees. Perhaps it's because they are both on the shorter size for a QB at 6' tall.
  11. ...and the Ratbirds, Browns, Texans, Chargers, maybe Pittsburgh, Jax.....the AFC has some really good teams, nothing is a given...
  12. 1984-1996, 13 AFC losses in a row. But it wasn't because the AFC was bad... Cleveland was really good, couldn't get past Elway. Houston's Run & shoot struggled in the red zone. Denver, well their defense really sucked in their SBs. Cincy was pretty solid, the Raiders as well.
  13. I've always said a 47 yarder was not a sure thing, especially back then. I never had any angst towards Norwood.
  14. Josh should not be immune to criticism. Watch the replay.
  15. I think it was close, yes, but the ball was already out. There's only so much you can do, searching the waiver wire, etc in November/December/January. Slim pickings.
  16. Well, he had a wide open WR in the end zone and short-hopped him. Yeah, it's only one play, but c'mon, JA needed to make that play. That's the difference, making plays when needed, even under duress.
  17. Were you watching the NFL in the 70s?
  18. Fran Tarkenton & Dan Fouts were better than DM & JA. That's my unpopular opinion lol.
  19. It just kicks the can down the road, like the Saints.
  20. Baker is just inconsistent. When he's on, he's as good as anybody. When he's off, well it's ugly. Reads defenses well, has a very strong arm. lacks mobility, and when bull-rushed up the middle, he's doomed. So yeah, sounds like about $20 million/season 😜
  21. Think of the Seinfeld episode, when George had to get a signed death certificate......
  22. I hate disco, but how about "Tragedy" by the Bee Gees?
  23. 49ers simply won the weaker conference. They would have lost to just about all 7 of the AFC playoff teams.
  24. ...and Houston, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, etc. All the teams will be looking to improve, including the Bills. Odds are that a top team or two (KC, Buffalo maybe) will slip a bit, and a couple teams step it up a bit more.
  25. Football simply means more to people from the Great Lakes, Pennsylvania and westward through the plains towards Texas. Maybe Denver & Seattle are the exception (great fans there as well). Yes, Bills fans are dedicated, but like you say, "best fans" can't really be measured. Lots of crazed fanbases out there. The south is more about college football, but I can see that changing eventually as the NCAA is committing suicide with NIL.
