  1. Think of the Seinfeld episode, when George had to get a signed death certificate......
  2. I hate disco, but how about "Tragedy" by the Bee Gees?
  3. 49ers simply won the weaker conference. They would have lost to just about all 7 of the AFC playoff teams.
  4. ...and Houston, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, etc. All the teams will be looking to improve, including the Bills. Odds are that a top team or two (KC, Buffalo maybe) will slip a bit, and a couple teams step it up a bit more.
  5. Football simply means more to people from the Great Lakes, Pennsylvania and westward through the plains towards Texas. Maybe Denver & Seattle are the exception (great fans there as well). Yes, Bills fans are dedicated, but like you say, "best fans" can't really be measured. Lots of crazed fanbases out there. The south is more about college football, but I can see that changing eventually as the NCAA is committing suicide with NIL.
  6. Prepare to get destroyed here lol....JA is above criticism here. I'd logg off for a month😀
  7. Yes, it's a factor. However, virtually every team has to battle the injury bug. The Ratbirds were probably the healthiest team of the 7 AFC teams, they couldn't get it done either. I just think the Bills are a step behind KC even when healthy. Funny thing is, I do think the Bills would beat the over rated 49ers today, that's what is so frustrating.
  8. The Browns had no choice. OBJ & his dad threw Baker under the bus. Baker got a 2nd opinion on his injury (which he's allowed to do) and was "cleared." The Browns front office decided both had to go, for a fresh start in the locker room. People forget that little tidbit. Baker's 2nd opinion on playing, he was in his rookie 4th year option. Browns were alive for a playoff birth, Baker threw 4 INTs in Green Bay on Xmas Eve on national tv. He was done right there in Cle.
  9. I've been an NFL fan since 1970, and Mahomes is the best I've seen so far. Just my $0.02
  10. It's been sold out since '99 fyi, even if it doesn't make sense with all the losing. Having a team move for no reason will do that to a fan base
  11. Yep. The only opposing city/stadium I visited (out of 8 road games) that I wasn't crazy about was St Louis, but their fans were awesome. I loved the Gateway Arch & the St Louis Cardinals HOF. But we stayed downtown & we weren't thrilled. Probably should have stayed elsewhere but it was convenient.
  12. It's actually a great city/region, great fans.
  13. Careful now, although you're not totally wrong. Since they came back in 1999, definitely a struggle for Cleveland. Two horrible ownership groups (Lerner, Haslam).
  14. Old school coach with today's players, it's going to be tough to make it no matter where or what team.
  15. What? Trolling? It's an opinion. The Kelly years were good. K-Gun was great in the regular season, good enough to rule the AFC, that's it. Cincy tried to mimic it with the Sugar Huddle, the Oilers with Run & Shoot. Neither of their QBs pointed the finger at their team mates for coming up short.
  16. That's when I realized Kelly was over rated, hate to say it.
  17. No. Last year hurt more than this year. The NFL really tried to appease to the Bills & the static/turmoil that surrounded them (snow game moved to a dome, Hamlin incident), and they simply laid an egg at home vs Cincy. Horrible. This year I didn't expect anything after losing to middling teams. It does suck, because Baltimore is/was beatable. It simply was not in the cards this season. PS- some here are obsessed with Burrow as well, I don't get it. Cincy wasn't going to do anything either, even if he stayed healthy.
  18. Yep. I see some are bashing Mayfield here. One has to wonder if any other of the 2018 QB prospects would have survived a guy like Hue Jackson like Mayfield did. Mayfield's attitude was the only thing that saved him, I give him a lot of credit for that. In case you're in disagreement there, remember he had Nick Chubb on the bench for an aging Carlos Hyde.
  19. Lol, correct. On the flip side, if SF wins, then it pisses off Steeler fans, they'd have 6 SBs also. Win-win!!
  20. I could see a day where they eliminate divisions (I doubt most fans would like that). There's little chance they'd expand the schedule beyond 18 games (it's probably coming in a new CBA down the road). The NFL is such a machine, but out of respect to the other major sports, they wouldn't want to overlap more than they already do, and when the teams get the injury bug, the product suffers. Realistically, out of the 14 playoff teams this season, maybe 4 or 5 were "healthy."
  21. The NFL scheduling formula is presently brilliant. It was even better when it was just 16 games. Yes, there are quirks, like some divisions can have "down year(s)," but it's great for the fans, especially the opposing conference match ups by division. Before 1978, AFC/NFC games didn't rotate like they do now. We also have rotating AFC vs AFC, NFC vs NFC by divisions. You may not be old enough to know, but there was a period where the NFC won 13 SBs is a row, late 80s into the 90s. A lot of this stuff is by chance/luck. I wouldn't ruin a good thing. Correct. The Chiefs are dominant because they presently have the best coach & the best QB. The scary thing is their defense has truly improved.
  22. The 49ers are soft. They pulled out wins vs inexperienced Green Bay & Detroit, got pushed around vs the AFC North this season. Prepare for another KC win.
  23. He sure could be, but holding out hope Allen could win one.
  24. Fran Tarkenton Dan Fouts Brian Sipe Warren Moon
  25. Yes. Cleveland's curse is truly Art Modell. Buys the team in 1963, fires arguably the greatest coach of all time (Paul Brown), goes bankrupt in a football crazed city, moves the team & fires Bellichick (who had the Browns on the right path). Can we throw the Minnesota Vikings into this curse too? Another tortured fan base...Lake Superior is cold lol.
