Deshaun Watson to Browns - $230 million guaranteed
Donuts and Doritos replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow! Well at least we don't play any of those AFC North teams next year... What? 🤬🤬 -
Baker letting everyone know his feelings are hurt. I get it. So when a player leaves "it's business", but when a team seeks to trade a player "it's personal"? Browns mishandled this for sure & now it's biting them. But Baker should look in the mirror & ask why did Beckham want out & why the Browns want to replace him, then put in the work to make the changes in his game necessary to improve. That's what Allen did.

This is a big deal. Need to keep Bates or we end up w/ a huge hole on the O-line. We've let a lot of guys walk this off-season. (Only guys I think we've resigned McKenzie, Neal, Kumerow). Needed to go w/ the higher tender.

BLOCKBUSTER! Packers Trade Adams to Vegas

It's cute how Da Raiders are spending all this $$ & capital to stay relevant in the AFC West. Which of these is not like the other: PATRICK MAHOMES, JUSTIN HERBERT, RUSSELL WILSON, derek carr? Carr is the definition of QB purgatory. -
Loved what he brought on the field. Clutch. It's the right move. I'll be routing for him except when he plays the Bills. Best of luck Cole & Thanks.

Ryan Bates will be tendered by Bills

Good. Bates is a good piece to keep. Line played much better with him in. Now if only they could retain Phillips, but he's probably pricing out of Buffalo. -
Bills release OL Daryl Williams

Not a complete surprise, from what sources like the Athletic, Sal & others have been saying. Sounded like a $ & scheme fit casualty. But the staying in contact & possible reunion is interesting, sounds like it was more about $ than scheme possibly. Lots of moving parts. -

Where have I seen this movie before 🤔 -
Setting aside the reality that tax breaks are a form of public funding (Yankees had the largest federal subsidy for a stadium in history, see below), the fact remains tax payer money ($450 mill, see below) was still paid out to help build Yankees Stadium. The Posts premise is ANY use of such money for the Pegulas to build the Bills stadium is wrong. But they had 0 problem when Steinbrenner did the same thing (no articles online, just a letter to the editor blasting the Yankees & the Post on the issue, see below). I understand people having objections to the use of public $ for such projects. But the Posts selective outrage is just dishonest. They make it sound like the Pegulas are doing something unheard of. https://www.brookings.edu/blog/brookings-now/2016/09/09/top-10-biggest-federal-subsidies-for-pro-stadiums-hint-the-yankees-are-1/ https://www.nyc.com/arts__attractions/yankee_stadium.1002975/ https://nypost.com/2009/01/20/a-bad-stadium-deal/

Didn't see the Post complain about this issue when taxpayers paid to build Yankees stadium. "The Yankees supplied $670.6 million about $1.186 billion, came in the form of public money and tax breaks". I guess because that's for the Yankees & NYC that's somehow different. Hypocrites. Hack ranked 35th in average punt yards last season (see link below). He was 35th out of 32 starting punters. That's not a starter. But by paying him anything it's now possible he could become the starter next year. https://www.nfl.com/stats/player-stats/category/punts/2021/post/all/puntingaverageyards/desc

Whhyyy??? Why are we banging our head against the wall continuously & expecting different results.

How does Metcalf fit with Diggs & Davis? Who sits between the 3 of them? Or are we getting rid of Davis or Diggs? I thought we needed a slot WR, can he play there? This seems more of a redundant luxury move than a fill holes on the roster (slot WR, CB, Edge, DT, TE2, Guard) to make us better move, IMO.

Joe Buck and Troy Aikman to MNF

They should add Chris Collinsworth & resurrect Dennis Miller in the booth w/ them, then get Booger McFarland on his cherry picker sideline cart to make it the worst broadcast team in history.
