And this is why teams sign draft picks in June.
-
You don’t have to wait until 6/1. You can cut him with a 6/1 DESIGNATION before that. Think T White last year.

I feel like far too many people see our own players through rose colored glasses. Daquan Jones is a great example of Bill Walsh’s belief that he’d rather move on from a player a year too soon than a year too late. He should not have been resigned last year and now we’re stuck with a rapidly declining and old DT being paid starter money. We’re keeping AJE, Bass (unless he craps the bed in TC), McGovern, and Jones. Possibly Lewis because TJ is showing signs of his body breaking down and Lewis is familiar with that specific NCB/in-the-box Safety/mini LB role. Miller, Rapp, Trubisky, and Martin must be moved on from at their current numbers. Miller is a shell of his former self. Rapp’s playing style combined with his inability to absorb his own punishment means he’s a backup - at best. Trubisky can stay on a vet minimum salary. Martin can be replaced with a lower cap hit player. And, again, the only 3rd rounder that would be involved with a David Edwards trade is us including our 3rd round pick to get someone to take his salary. Watch the AFCCG - he was bad.
-
Nobody in The League is gonna trade a ham sandwich for Edwards, let alone a 3rd. Edwards was pretty terrible in the AFCCG and could (probably will) be cut for cap savings. Misspelling
-
Anyone else for using our draft capital for trades?

This isn’t the NBA - we need inexpensive players to perform and hand out good contracts to the keepers. -
But all of the restricted guys need to be re-upped. That’s roster development and I should’ve been more clear.
-
Corner projects and DL should be the focus in the draft. If we sign Hollins, a WR with developable talent, but not an early pick. Allen doesn’t trust rookies enough to warrant a very early pick.
-
We’ve got to stop with the “come at them with waves D-lineman” crap and stop devoting so much cap resources to backup line positions. This needs to be young talent for backups, and you hope you hit on a couple every couple years. I’m tired of seeing our backups on the field in critical situations every week. Just my two cents.
-
If they didn’t come up big in the title game, move on. This makes Hollins the only must sign. Ferguson is fine to sign, but the world doesn’t stop if he retires.

Lamar is the NFL version of Forrest Gump. I just hope his girlfriend doesn’t gave AIDS, of course.

Let's see where members are watching the game today?

Paul Maguire is still very much alive and I’m sure he’s having a blast experiencing this season.

Is this Ravens game reminiscent of Buffalo/KC in 1991?

Hopefully? -
I hope they bring Hal Garner up. Helluva ST presence with some pass rush ability. And he knows how to party, which is always a bonus (if you win).
-
Clearly we have the best OL coach in Kromer. You see what transforming potential does with these kids and we consistently have underdeveloped potential every season with our DL. We need to figure out a way to lure Smith away from the Ravens. He’s the best positional developer of DL and pass rush talent in The League. Bring him in as the DC in title with a focus on the DL and pass rush.

Are the Patriots still the NFL team you dislike the most?

Miami. Said for years that I’m fine with a 2-14 season, as long as the two wins are against Miami. It’s 2-15, of course, after the extra game was added. I detest everything Miami football. -
Hell, Jim would be kicking ass. Especially with modern training programs. Jim was pretty athletic is his time in the USFL and his game would’ve translated to today’s league. And probably better than Marino. But I’d sure love to see Teddy Marchibroda as an offensive mind with Allen, too. Oh well, maybe in the afterlife we’ll get to see things like this.

What I think needs to happen is a more simplified defensive game plan, as was the case yesterday. We won’t have to play another game in a dome unless we make the Super Bowl. This makes me happy because we just get diced up by good QB’s in controlled environments. Yes, I consider LA a controlled environment.

He’s a diddler who attended Diddy parties. He did something very inappropriate to Bieber, too. Look it up yourselves, not the kind of thing I want to put here.

Randy Moss stepping away, health concerns

His I hope that’s not it. Had a best friend pass from ocular cancer. Three weeks from diagnosis to his passing. The first place it spreads to is the liver, and by the time it does, it’s almost always too late. That’s usually when people are diagnosed. Go see an ophthalmologist, even if your eyes are great. -

Fine handed out for Rapp's penalty against Miami
Snappysnackcakes replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
The game was riddled with very egregiously inaccurate calls against Buffalo.
