This is a GREAT analysis by Jim who always does a great job and often has marveled at how great Allen can be. The bottom line is that Josh is simply not playing within the system like he did all last year and the half season when Brady took over. He's not taking the easy outlets, he's indecisive, he is impatient, his fundamentals and footwork are poor again. The reasons for this need to be figured out. This is more than a slump. It's very surprising. I didn't expect him to play at last year's level, but not this kind of backslide. It is very puzzling.

Wow, just wow. It's one thing to just not be good enough, but this? I recall watching him after he was drafted and he came across VERY young, likely immature. But that was understandable at his age. I didn't think he wouldn't grow up and become a responsible adult.

I think he displayed some irritation with Brady and the O when he said when you have Josh Allen you should be able to move the ball through the air. And he's right. Personnel or not, the current offense when you have Allen is ridiculous. You think a Sean Mcvay O would look like this???

Call me old school, or just plain old. 😌 But for the LIFE of me, I simply CANNOT BELIEVE that this team for two straight years doesn't attempt deep passes PURPOSELY, not off a Josh scramble, at least 2-3 times a game. I know Josh doesn't throw a great deep ball. I DONT CARE. I know we don't have burners. I DON'T CARE. You attempt the bomb. You can get a catch, you can get a PI. Yes it can be incomplete, or a INT. I DON'T CARE. Because it reflects AGRESSIVENESS. It FORCES the D to at least respect the deep third. Teams are DARING us to go deep, and we say ah that's ok, here's a bubble screen. Now Josh was asked about this today, and he paused and said " I have to give guys chances", so perhaps some of it is on him as well. But it HAS TO CHANGE. NOW.

I'll say it again. I supported the Diggs trade. I still do. But the fact that Beane, either through draft, off season signings, or trades, has not addressed the overwhelming need for a true boundary receiver is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. If people on here think we are going to be to get to and win the SB with that wr room, they are simply being Pollyanna. Terribly disappointed we are wasting a HOF all time QBs prime career.
