Owners approve rules adjustments for Replay, OT, and Kickoff
JMM replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
The new kickoff rule means two important things: 1. Can Bass be able to kickoff to a corner and to the 5 yard line? He was excellent at this at one point when it still mattered. 2. The importance again of kick returner. Hopefully we are good with Codrington, and this is definitely why they signed Shenault, which they basically stated. -
They must feel very confident regarding his health concerns with the concussions. 🤞🤞
-
Is anyone else surprised that not only have they not signed with a team, but not even gotten a visit?? What do you think the odds we sign one or both of them at a bargain rate? I would think we are waiting to see how the draft goes first before we make a decision. Although we are soo thin at cb, that even if we draft one high, Douglas would be still be good depth at the right price.

Matt Milano agrees to pay cut, 2025 becomes final year of his deal

Very very smart move by Beane. -
Best post of the day! 🤣

Finally! They gave this kid more chances than I would have. I wanted him traded before last season. A fifth is a good return all in all. Just a big whiff by Beane. It happens. Have to wonder if CB might not be our first pick now.
-
Me too! 😁
-
I think it will depend on who falls of course. If a DT they have in their top 15 falls to them they will grab him. Otherwise I agree, I think edge or cb becomes much more likely.
-
Everybody understands that this is a short term, backup safety depth move right? There is no way he is starting this year, and there is always the possibility he doesn't make the final roster. In light of that this is a solid move.
-
Not only are they drafting one, you can almost guarantee it will either be our rd 1 pick or the first in the 2nd.

Great!!! He was terrific at times last year, especially in passing game. An underrated player for us.

Josh Allen gets record contract extension $330 million
JMM replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ok great. Josh deserves every penny. The question is...how much does this help us capwise now and short term? Capolgists? -
Browns ink Myles Garrett to an Extension
JMM replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
But...but...I want to play for a winner! Joke. Let him finish his career there mired in mediocrity. -
This HAD to happen, even with the cap hit. Personally I would move on totally. But if he's willing to agree to a one year deal, around the vet min I'd consider it.

Riiiiight...😆😆

As I was saying....10...9...8...DROPPED!!!

Greg Rousseau Extended (4 years / 80M / 54M Guaranteed)
JMM replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
All in all, looking at the realities of the situation this is a good deal. It's NOT an overpay in that sense. He is a good edge run defender and he is a " good" pass rusher. The question is, can he make that jump to be an impact rusher? You watch him, and game in and game out he gets THISCLOSE to the QB but can't seem to finish the deal. Can he close that gap?? That's the question going forward that will determine if this contract was good in the long run. -

Matthew Smiley out as Special Teams coach
JMM replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
I have renewed hope. LETS GO! -
Older, hurt a lot, and more a slot. Pass.
-
1. Lack of talent 2. The insistence of rotating the lineman no matter how they are playing.

Smiley is coming back?? Ok I just lost a LOT of confidence in this team and organization. For TWO years now, ST has been a train wreck, including the big return in the game Sunday that directly led to points. So a THIRD of this team will not be up to standards, let alone championship level. It's baffling and VERY disappointing.
-
I would think that this will happen. I'm going to assume he will end up with top 3 money overall. I also think though he will make it as cap friendly as possible to help the team, with a ton of it up front in bonus. For the capologists out there what would the implications of this be? How much cap flexibility could it open up for Beane?

We don't need a diva, but we ABSOLUTELY need a complimentary outside wr that has speed and can take the top off a defense. It's an absolute MUST going forward. Otherwise O is pretty set, now FIX THE DAMN D!!
