There haven't been too many upsets over the last few weeks. Today might be a progression to the mean. Both Bosa's seem injury-prone.

Week 8 - Bills at Seahawks Game Week Thread
Sierra Foothills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Seems to me that things like the 3 cone drill and short shuttle would be more relevant than 40 time when trying to guess whether a super-sized corner might have coverage skills. It's hard to believe their guesstimate however the algorithm has got to be based on a sample size of several thousand so how inaccurate can it then be? It'll be interesting to see how this plays out. -

Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
Sierra Foothills replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's very interesting how their techniques are so different. Spagnolo seems to have a much more varied and aggressive approach to clapping. McDermott seems more reactive. The bolded is all true but I hardly think it's a sound formula for winning another Super Bowl. It seems their margin for error is thinner than ever for this regime and it doesnt seem sustainable to me. Hope I'm right. -
Tua cleared to play this weekend against the Cards
Sierra Foothills replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mr. Tagovailoa, please try to remain calm... To the bolded, I don't think he's chasing the Super Bowl. As stupid as he appears to me, he can't possibly believe that he (with or without the Dolphins) has the ability to win a Super Bowl. By the testimony of pretty much anyone who has met him (including Josh Allen) Tua is a good guy. That said, I'm pretty convinced he's not very bright. -

To the bolded, the way I would describe it is that the team is in the habit of sleepwalking during games. -
Yes. If you swap the last consonants in his first and last name, his name would be Jalel Virgin. In that order?

Okay... maybe I'm wrong. If you have access I'd love to know where Rasul and Benford stack up. Thanks! -

I feel like a 1st and a 2nd might get it done... but offer 2 2nds and sweeten the deal if necessary. F5 -

(drum roll)... Linval Joseph Catheter... (gulp) It seems that losing teams suffer more injuries than winning teams. Just an impression.

To the bolded, is there some blackmail/extortion scheme going on there?

Godwin injury ... hip drop???
Sierra Foothills replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
I agree but it's not totally black and white. In this case and the case of the Vikings at the end of the first half when Darrisaw was injured (he's now out for the season), there was a miniscule chance that playing to score could change the outcome of the game. That said the odds are so stacked against that it's not worth trying IMO. -
Godwin injury ... hip drop???
Sierra Foothills replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
Firstly I'm not arguing with you. I would say that the only camera angle available seems pretty inconclusive. Here it is slowed down and blown up: It seems like Roquan possibly "unweights" himself over Godwin's lower body which is one of the criteria for a hip drop tackle. -
McDermott has a lifetime .629 winning percentage. That's higher than John Harbaugh, Mike Tomlin, Sean Payton Sean McVay, Kyle Shanahan... Do you have any actual data to backup your claim?

Christopher Columbus won the Biletnikoff Award? I just usually nod my head and smile... just play it off. Biletnikoff? I believe either/both of the Ravens or the Patriots will receive a compensatory pick for this acquisition. Correct? Thank you for your contribution... anyone else?

The Fish's lack of offensive productivity also points to poor backup QBing IMO. You're drinking again, aren't you?

Sam Darnold and other QB resurrections
Sierra Foothills replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
... for his victory tour float to turn back into a pumpkin. Jim Kelly broke Jim Harbaugh's jaw? And now with his trusted blindside protector Christian Darrisaw out for the season... BTW, Kevin McConnell is not getting enough flack for calling a running play in that situation instead of a kneel down. I posted this elsewhere but it fits well here: During the 2018 preseason playing for the Raiders, EJ Manuel led the NFL in passing. In 4 games he went 40-56 (71.4%) for 477 yards (8.5 YPA) with 4 TDs and 0 interceptions for a passer rating of 120.9. https://www.footballdb.com/statistics/nfl/player-stats/passing/2019/preseason He was cut by Gruden in the final cutdown who chose to keep AJ McCarron as Derek Carr's backup. In February 2019 EJ was signed by Andy Reid but chose to retire less than 3 months later without playing a down for the Chiefs. Point is if Geno Smith resurrected his career I'm pretty sure EJ could have too. On the other hand Cunningham had a lot of talent around him... Fred Barnett, Calvin Williams, Herschel Walker, Keith Byars, Roy Green, Heath Sherman, and a great defense with Reggie White, Seth Joyner, Byron Evans, Clyde Simmons, Eric Allen, Andre Waters... like the Warren Moon Houston Oilers teams that you mention, a star-studded lineup. Sounds kinky. Baker can really spin the ball. Now without Evans and Godwin he has a tough row to hoe. I sense he and Darnold have hit their high water marks for the season. The forecast looks like dry weather. -

Games missed by Milano by season: Year Missed Games 2017 0 16 2018 3 16 2019 1 16 2020 6 16 2021 1 17 2022 2 17 2023 12 17 Total 25 114 Not including this season where he's missed all 7 games, Milano has missed 25 of 114 games or 21.9% of all games. If you eliminate the last two seasons where he's missed 12 of 24 games, he's at 13 of 97 missed for 13.4%... meaning that he usually misses more than 2 games per year. The problem is that it's a passing league and Spector is below average in that area. He's still young and can improve and obviously we're hoping that he and Dorian continue to progree without costing us any games. -
Thursday Night Football - Vikings at Rams

Yeah we're gonna have to stuff you in your locker for that... maybe give you a wedgie for good measure. The one that gets me is calling an exhibition soccer match a "friendly." You, we're going to tape to the goalposts.
