  1. At right tackle?
  2. Have you checked out this very well-produced piece that shows every one of Duke Johnson's touches from the last 6 weeks of last season? Look how much he gets on each play relative to the blocking. Also notice the energy and attitude (how quickly he gets up from a tackle), vision, instincts, agility, and power (click where it says "Watch on YouTube"). Keep in mind this is NOT a highlight reel, simply a compilation of every touch over a 6 week period. If you have a good eye for football I think you'll find it pretty impressive.
  3. To me the idea is that if Josh were to miss 4 games like he did in 2018 that a veteran QB would get you 2 wins instead of 1 win, thus doing damage control to your place in the playoff seedings. Hopefully maintaining home field advantage.
  4. Oh... okay. I'm getting drunk on all these signing. Sorry.
  5. We got Saquon Barkley!!!??!?!?!?
  6. That would pay for only a small fraction of my shrink bills from the PTSD the lunchbox caused me when the older kids bullied poor little old me! It happened at the bus stop every morning... 😢
  7. Yes and his cap hit apparently was no deterrent to being moved.
  8. Me too! Beluga, sevruga, ossetra, et cetera...
  9. Agreed. Barring injury or unforeseen circumstances Duke will take snaps away from Moss. It's only a matter of how many if you know what I mean.
  10. I have no dog in this fight but FYI there are at least 3 different trade value charts. Which one are you using? Where'd you read that Doc?
  11. Past his prime based on what? His birth date? Duke ran a 4.54 at the combine and faster at his Pro Day. He ran a 10.62 in the 100 meters in high school. Thank you for the quality post. It is much needed in this topic. Duke ran a 4.54 at the combine for which he was disappointed with himself. He ran a 10.62 in the 100 meters in high school. No they don't. Too busy writing instead of reading... pre-formed opinions. To the mods: Please consider changing your definition of "crusading." Crusading should encompass more than just the person who cuts and pastes the same post over and over. Thank you.
  12. I had this exact lunch box in elementary school. The older kids made fun of it. So my Mom got me a Casper the Friendly Ghost one to replace it. That didn't work. I'm not sure what I was expecting but your post was ultimately a bit of a let down.
  13. It is absolutely a concern. MVS could be a guy who never develops the fine polish needed to be a legit starter. However as a guy who can stretch the field and open it up for others he would be a great fit. Also, when you have a QB like Josh Allen, I think you need a receiver who can consistently take the top off a defense. In that regard there are no doubts about him.
  14. The excerpt underscores the fact that no one actually knows if Matt Ryan is available or not. As for contracts, they can be changed as has been made abundantly clear this week.
  15. In 4 years he has 18 receptions of 40 or more yards.
  16. I'm afraid the shopping spree is over but I think Marquez Valdes-Scantling would be a nice get depending on the cost. He's 6'4" 206 and ran a 4.37 at the combine. Unless you count OJ Howard in this regard (I don't), the Bills did not improve their team speed. I think it's important that they do so on both sides of the ball.
  17. I wasn't referring exclusively to free agency.
  18. That was so irresponsible for Shefter to tweet that "doctors expect Ojabo to be on the same timeline as Cam Akers" (6 months, which is an anomaly... 9-12 months is typical). This sort of recovery is about as predictable as the weather in WNY. Also ridiculous is the statement that "Doctors expect a full and complete recovery." When have doctors ever not expected a full and complete recovery and even if they didn't, would they ever say it? Thank you very little, Shefty.
  19. I agree that Ford will be given one more chance to prove he's not a bust. The Bills don't easily give up on their high picks. However Saffold is very athletic whereas Ford has not proven to be. Also Saffold's size is somewhat misleading to what he brings to the table. From reading what the O-line experts here are saying about Kromer and his methods, it's Saffold's mobility which fits the scheme so well. I would be a bit concerned if the Bills didn't bring in a legitimate challenger to Cody Ford.
  20. In other words, exactly how much "can kicking" have we done?
  21. It seems more relevant what our cap situation is next year.
  22. Josh was okay last season. This year he was facing the prospects of a QB room that lost Daboll, Mitch Trubisky, and Davis Webb. A Barkley signing would be intended to offset some of that loss.
  23. A short excerpt from The Athletic on Matt Ryan: "Here’s what almost everyone in the NFL is thinking right now: There’s no way Matt Ryan can play for Atlanta in 2022. The Falcons have treated the 14-year NFL veteran and face of their franchise too shoddily in pursuit of a player who has shown almost none of the professionalism in his career that Ryan has shown in every year of his. So let’s start the conversation there. All those people are wrong. It’s exactly Ryan’s professionalism that makes it possible he could come back to play for the team that drafted him No. 3 overall in 2008. Who’s to say if it’s probable, but it’s possible. There are better quarterbacks in the National Football League than Matt Ryan. There are none more professional. He is the Uber Pro, to a degree that actually alienates some of his own fan base. His insistence on focusing on the process, taking life a practice rep at a time and stoically approaching the next play with no regard for the last infuriates some people. Many Falcons fans have never loved their quarterback more than when he was flagged for taunting in Week 17 against Buffalo. He cost Atlanta a touchdown because he said unkind things in unkind ways to Bills safety Jordan Poyer. Ryan lost his cool, and it was startling to see because it just doesn’t happen. It was his first unsportsmanlike conduct flag in a 14-year career. Atlanta fans were tickled mostly. That version of Ryan might walk into the Falcons’ facility in Flowery Branch tomorrow and give everyone in the building double (dirty) birds, demand a trade and clean out his locker. Or the all-business Boston College grad might say, “It’s a business; it’s over; let’s get ready for 2022.” Getting to that public response would require some private fence-mending from Atlanta owner Arthur Blank, general manager Terry Fontenot and head coach Arthur Smith, but that’s at least a possibility." It's an interesting situation. I could see a scenario where Arthur Blank throws a bit more money at him to mend fences with Ryan.
  24. Tell me you didn't type all of that on your phone... 😄 To the bolded above, yes we never know how the draft will unfold. There's definitely a scenario where the Bills find themselves at #25 and not liking their options. In that scenario I could see where they might trade down and pick up an extra high pick to address two areas... RB and CB for instance. If they put themselves in the BPA situation with their first pick there's no reason to think that they couldn't address CB, OL, or WR with their second pick.
