I think that’s just the lighting in the stadium. The Amazon stream looks really good on both my TV and home theater projector compared to cable.

If you could only have 1 (Beckham or McCaffrey)
rusty shackleford replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall
If the Bills really wanted them, they are not necessarily mutually exclusive. OBJ as a FA at near vet minimum, only downside is who gets bumped off the roster. If Crowder out for season then it would just bump Hodgins; okay. If they could package Moss and a reasonable draft pick for CMC that would be a risk worth taking. Biggest hurdle would be restructures to manage the cap and be okay with somebody they probably won’t be able to resign. Could you imagine a starting line up in the playoffs with Davis and OBJ out wide, Diggs in the slot, CMC out of the backfield, rounded off by Knox. How do you game plan for that. Especially with Allen’s ability to run while trying to pass protect against all those weapons. -

It's not exactly a great one or the other type of choices. OBJ is a free agent and we would give up nothing except whatever salary he is willing to take for a few weeks of service towards a SB push. CMC would need us to give up draft capital and/or players and cost a lot of money over several years. Either one could be a worthwhile additional but the situations are very different. -
A Few Thoughts about the Chiefs Game, in no particular order
rusty shackleford replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
When you think about some of those mistakes combined with the injuries we battled with while playing through what was thought to be the toughest part of our schedule, it really is amazing what they have been able to overcome and the results that they achieved in the process. Many really good teams would have struggled to overcome those challenges. It should be really interesting what this team will be able to do after we clean up those mistake, get back to almost fully healthy and get into the softer parts of the schedule. I like McKenzie but I think he is best suited in the role he has been playing the few prior years for us as that speed/gadget guy with occasional plays designed specific to him. McD seems to really keep rookies down the depth chart unless he has no choice (like our early CB situation). I get having to earn the playing time, but it seems like he could be a little less conservative in this area and give Shakir a bigger role. It can't be any more risky than having to rely on McKenzie to be a consistent starter. -
Maybe foreshadowing for a retractable top stadium...

Titans/City Agree on New DOMED Stadium

Its strange to think about what a game day experience with a dome in Buffalo would be like factoring the tailgating situation in the bad weather. Dressing to be outside in the elements for a few hours with many layers and waterproofing then having to figure out how to go into a climate controlled building and be comfortable. I would normally wear thermals under sweat pants under snowboarding pants in the winter. That would be hard to just delayer while heading into the building. Detroit, Minnesota, and Indianapolis are the only northern cities that have a dome. Don't think any of them have a big tailgating atmosphere. It would be interesting to see if a dome came to Buffalo if the tailgating would adapt or die off. -
I get that feeling too. If not another concussion, he'll get injured somehow. He just doesn't seem to have the awareness to see hits coming and doesn't have the body that can take them. I thought the Poyer situation was strange too. I understand the air pressure changes and how that can be a risk to his condition, but wouldn't another player slamming into his chest be a similar risk.

At least Tua stands a chance of not getting a 3rd with T.J. Watt still out.

It would be a good week to release those stadium renderings.

Don’t think so based on how the Bills are going to use him this year. He has the potential to be great but they have been slow rolling him as much as possible. With White coming back and the rest of the secondary becoming healthy, he just won’t be relied on as much as some of the the other talented guys across the league so his numbers won’t show… maybe next year though

Titans/City Agree on New DOMED Stadium

Yeah of course from a fan perspective I would prefer it. I had seasons for 10 years and that was a factor why I stopped renewing a few years ago. But from a player perspective I don’t think it’s as big of a factor. You want to be on a winning team no matter what. When you only play 8 home games and a few have a possibility to be a weather factor, it shouldn’t be a top concern. Actually think one of the biggest benefits to having a dome here would be the non football stuff… big concerts, car shows, boat shows, monster trucks, whatever, would be a big boost to the economy and would offset costs. With Ralph gone nobody would object to all that multi use. -

That’s a valid point, but there are a lot of other bad weather stadiums that are not enclosed that are able to attract top end free agents. I think a better designed stadium that can cut down on the impact of the elements can go a long way… how many players were anti New England, Green Bay, Pittsburg, etc. just because they were cold weather outside. -
Sort of disappointing. As much as I want to see the Bills and Allen have complete dominance, it is kinda cool to see new young rivalries pop up. Glad to see our division have draft duds but like to see high level competition between the rest of the AFC.
-
Coming into this season I thought he would have been right up there at the top, maybe a tier below Allen and Mahomes. Doesn’t look to even be close so far.
-
The “stacked” AFC seems weaker and weaker with every prime time game.

I think he’ll be on a limited snap count for a”his first few games while they slowly get him back to his all pro form. Outside of having official ordering on the depth charts, I think they’ll go with a heavy rotation between white, Benford, Elam, Jackson so it will be hard to tell true CB 1-4, at least for a few more games. Also seems like it would depended on the game plan for specific opponents and if they plan on playing a lot of man vs. zone. Definitely a good problem to have.

Welcome back QB Sneaks
rusty shackleford replied to Lieutenant Aldo Raine's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought it was funny that Romo called out that he’s never seen a motion man used that way on a QB sneak before. That was the 4th down attempt on the last drive. They did the same exact thing on 3rd and short in the second quarter. Romo normally picks up on those types of details. -
I’m watching the 2022 AFC Divisional Playoff Game
rusty shackleford replied to bmur66's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just watched the second half. Had some friends over to watch the new Halloween Ends movie streaming on Peacock. Switched back to cable after and it just happened to be on. Left it on with background music on as we had a few drafts… didn’t turn out any better this time around. -
Deshaun Watson to be suspended 11 games via settlement
rusty shackleford replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Which would be great to see. Getting thrown right back into football after being away for all that time, hardly any practice with a new team, going back to a city that should be a hostel environment for him (if the fans show up). Could be quite the blow (no pun intended) to his psyche and the mental aspect of his game. -
Today's injury report shows Benford will be available. Could still be an inactive for Sunday, but it sounds like he has a good chance to be dressed. I'm assuming it will be more for insurance to dress him if someone goes down but won't see many snaps if he's still wearing the cast.

It could be possible, but how effective would he really be. Normally you see d line or linebacker play through with a cast but not a DB that relies on good hands as a critical part of their play.
