  1. So what? They’re still the favorites to win it all next year again. They’ll make the moves necessary like they always do because their GM drafts way better than ours and knows how to build around his star QB. We tie up money in special teams bums and backup OL. Can’t wait to waste a first rounder on a LB too! Bills have now dropped to 4th overall betting odds to win it all behind chiefs, 49ers, and Eagles. Not saying that’s the end all be all, but nothing we’ve done so far will move the needle.
  2. Jets are about to add Aaron Rodgers and Lazard. The dolphins got better. I’m fine with letting edmunds walk but if we only sign McGovern we simply got worse. The real kick in the teeth will be when we waste a first rounder on a safety as if that helps josh at all
  3. Correct. Other teams don’t copy it because they have the best roster in the nfl other than QB and it’s not even close. That and Shanahan is the best at drawing up plays besides Reid. When you have the best LT in football, the best RB, weapons like Deebo and Aiyuk, plus Kittle then you can plug almost any QB in there. They couldn’t stop the run at times so they get Hargrave. They plug him next to Armstead. Add him next to the best DE in football plus the best LB, and if injuries don’t happen they’re going to the SB. The NFC is ass, all the best QBs are in the AFC so not having a great QB doesn’t hurt them. Don’t believe me only 3 of the top 11 teams favored to win next years SB are from the NFC (49ers, eagles and cowboys). 49ers are only behind the chiefs and bills from a betting perspective. They also mastered the comp pick formula by only hiring minorities so while they don’t have a first rounder, they have tons of picks to work with. They’ll do it again next year when Wilkes gets a HC job.
  4. Unless they plan to completely change their defensive philosophy from a lazy one to an aggressive one that utilizes a first round type talent, then yes it’s a waste taking any safety in the 1st
  5. Don’t worry. We will waste our first rounder on a safety instead. That’s how beane rolls. Damn are you reading my mind or something. Literally posted this exact thing at the exact same time.
  6. 100%. Leodis ugh that hurt. Bijan sounds good in a vacuum until you remember our o line can’t run block so what good is he? We are also philosophically not a running team like the titans so why invest in a workhouse you won’t use? Agree with the comment we have to stop building our team backwards. We have the QB, now protect him and give him weapons. Doesn’t seem difficult to me. The good news is that QBs will be in higher demand this year which will push some good players down. Same could be true for CB. Just need a good WR or IOL to fall to us to help Josh. All that said, I fully expect to waste a pick on a safety.
  7. Still no. If we get Semeulo I’ll be thrilled. But that still doesn’t solve the Spencer brown problem or the Mitch Morse potential injuries which looms large too. A follow on investment of resources in offensive line is needed.
  8. There’s no defensive player I want at 27, I’ll puke if we take one I think. I don’t need some first round pick wasted on a scheme that’s lazy and doesn’t encourage play making. We badly need weapons and most importantly protection for josh. Which of course means we will waste the pick on a safety.
  9. I really want Addison the most this draft but JSN is extremely intriguing too and I would be thrilled with him too. OL seems to be deeper in this draft than Wr so I’ve been hoping for WR in round 1 and specifically one of these two options… which means beane will likely go safety or some rotational DE lol Honestly though I’d give up whatever it takes to get Marvin Harrison Jr next year
  10. Some other thoughts: Please don’t resign Edmunds unless you get a break. He’s not Roquan Smith or Fred Warner. Let him go make a big impact for someone else that uses him correctly (and they will). We can’t sink that much money into someone that frazier is going to just have stand in the middle of the field to do nothing and take up space with his long arms. Im sure someone in the draft can do that. Thought the Eagles unwillingness to come out of nickel when the chiefs went heavy (sound familiar) cost them big time. Chiefs were cool with running all over them and it worked. We are miles behind the chiefs (and eagles and even the bengals) in elite talent and even further behind the chiefs in terms of o line talent. It’s sad but true. That said, wouldn’t be surprised to see Beane overreact to Poyer leaving and stupidly taking a safety round one. Exactly. Frazier does not of that and essentially sleeps during a game. He’s done it his whole career.
  11. This. Who cares what our stupid lazy D does in the regular season. Guys like Cover 1 and other content creators keep throwing out DVOA numbers like any of that matters. There’s not a stat that tells you that the bills d will shrink in big moments but ***** they always do and you know they will. The chiefs D has better players than ours but not that much better. What they do have is Spagnuolo who will take chances and actually changes things up against different teams. He brought pressure at key moments yesterday to flush hurts out of the pocket, specifically to the left to make him throw across his body. He blitzed to throw the timing of the eagles RPO action. Meanwhile Frazier is content with trotting out the same garbage week after week. It never changes and never will. We will not win a ring with him as DC. Simple as that.
  12. I’m sad I can only like this post once. Great points. Beyond being good, it takes luck to win the whole thing. Unfortunately we’ve NEVER gotten a bounce like the one Bolton scooped up for a free 7 points. Add in that awful punt that they nearly housed, and it adds up to a gift SB for Mahomes. Brady had that gift for 2 decades now Mahomes has it. Everyone knows the other team will make a boneheaded mistake gift to give them the victory or the ref is going to toss a mystery flag out to save them. Unfortunately we can’t draft or pay for that kind of luck and we’ll likely never get it.
  13. Said it in this thread an hour ago. He does this every time. They’re going to be replaying that run like it was the elway helicopter run for years. He wants that Jordan flu game/ Willis Reed game to be remembered by.
  14. Him and Kyle shanahan
  15. Yep. 2 decades of patriots followed by 15 years of this. I hate football.
  16. He’s fine. Stop falling for it. Plus he doesn’t have to move
  17. What exactly did he do there that impressed you so much? Agree he’s good but what did he do besides throw to wide open guys less than 5 yards down the field and let them do the work?
  18. Patriots did this lucky stuff for 2 decades
  19. This is what the patriots did for 20 years. Get every break in the game, then do something late in the game to win. Not sure how we get that luck transferred to us but I’d pay money for it
  20. Pinned it with one hand and got both feet down. But it’s KC so we know how this goes
  21. He’s fine. He does this all the time. Gets more love later on for looking like he played hurt. He’s fine.
  22. Told you. Chiefs get every break . That’s a damn catch
  23. That’s a catch but it’s the chiefs
  24. I was completely void of belief we’d win a SB with Frazier lazy defense after the 13 second disaster so this year was just blah for me. I saw it coming. The fact they’re going to just run it back tells me they’re not serious about winning anyways so I’m not investing as much of my time into getting pumped up for the team. Normally I’m doing mock drafts, watching the senior bowl, listening to mock draft podcasts, etc.. Not anymore. They’re just going to whiff on their picks anyways or take another JAG DE or another Bernard anyways.
