  1. MCDERMOTT OWNS MCDANIEL NIGHTMARE NIGHT FOR THE FISH
  2. Another massive stop by the defense. Let Miami run the clock out lol.
  3. Spencer Brown makes the play throwing his man through the crust of the earth.
  4. It’s legitimately not a problem. McDermott is shutting down an offense with two elite deep threats, one of them arguably the best WR in football. McDermott is doing this with DAMAR HAMLIN AND TAYLOR RAPP in coverage and a gaggle of less than JAGS at linebacker. And Tua can’t complete a pass past the line of scrimmage. McDaniel and his creativity are no match for McDermott.
  5. You mean where Buffalo has more scoring drives, more points, less punts and less turnovers all with lesser offensive supporting cast talent?
  6. Are we concerned that Josh’s hand is actually pretty messed up?
  7. Samuel couldn’t beat a linebacker?
  8. Our best defender is Tua rn
  9. Dorian Williams is now our best linebacker. I want to cry.
  10. They are gonna keep attacking east west until we can keep the edge
  11. Probably the most impressive individual call I have seen in a while in Buffalo.
  12. I’m gonna say it. i hope Rousseau has like 16 sacks on the year and earns top end EDGE money. i know the cap space is somewhat of a burden, but I would much rather pay Rousseau $28M a year as a top end pass rusher than $18M a year as a 8 sack guy.
  13. I hear you! You are certainly entitled to your own grade, wasn’t trying to dispute what you said. Was just giving my thoughts on the grades in general based on the NFL at large. I think we can all agree that week 1 was a promising day for the group. Coleman in particular has a great start to build on and we haven’t even seen Samuel fully healthy/involved yet.
  14. Just wanted to add to this: We can look at it from a defensive perspective. On Monday morning, is the Cardinals defense going over film and talking about how they had no answers for the Bills WR’s? IMO, maybe a little bit, but I don’t think it’s a large point of emphasis, as the best day at WR had 4 catches total, and one of them was a chunk play contested catch where he won the route and made a GREAT play on the ball. Are they talking about how they struggled to stop the run? Again, maybe a little bit, but again probably not large as we had some early game success and they adjusted well with run blitzes. Are they talking about how they failed to contain Josh Allen and failed to have their defense swarm him on his scrambling and impromptu rushes? IMO, yes. Clear yes. Using that logic, imo Josh deserves the solo A+. He was the one the defense had no answers for. The defense would give themselves a D in how they guarded him. I don’t think they’d give themselves a D for the running backs or WR’s and I think they’d give themselves an A for bottling up the TE’s.
  15. I think Smith and Brown are harder to take away, personally. Both are really good WR’s.
  16. The argument is that if the most we expect of the WR’s is 3-4 catches each with around 40-50 yards, that’s not gonna be A+ games. From a WR perspective, Devonta Smith and AJ Brown had 12 catches for 200+ yards and a TD last week. Our entire group had 12 catches for 151 yards and 2 TD’s. our group was more efficient and had more TD’s. The Eagles group was much more explosive. I think there is a difference and part of that is philosophy and the way they are used.
  17. At some point, teams WILL go matchup on matchup, spy Josh and dare someone else on the Bills to beat them consistently. That will be the real test. If it slows us down, other teams will start to do it as well.
  18. While this point is understood, I take more issue that Josh was only one + higher than the WR’s. If the WR’s were A+, Josh needs to be like A+ x 10. Imo.
  19. The crazy thing about Watson is that his contract really hasn’t even kicked in yet from a cap standpoint. They kicked the can down to understandably try to build around him, but they are gonna be left holding the bag through 2026 at least.
  20. Correct. The Bengals will win 10 games and the Pats will be lucky to win 5, despite week 1 looking the opposite.
  21. The real answer, at this point, is “not sure.” we have a 1 game sample size. It’s a data point, not a trend. through the first 6 games of 2020, Josh had 37 rushing attempts. An average of 6 per game, but with a high of 14 on week one. Through the first 6 games of 2021, Josh had 44 rushing attempts. An average of 7.3 with a high of 11. 2022 it was 47, with a high of 12 2023, it was 22, with a high of 6. I think Josh will probably end up somewhere around the 2021-2022 numbers. So really, no more than he’s been asked to before.
  22. Sorry, of course you are right. He’s an elite QB. I don’t mean taking the ball out of his hands. I more mean relying less on his physical running ability over the course of the season. In 2021 and 2023, his attempts per broken tackle was around 10. In 2020 and 2022, it was 25. It’s not a perfect stat, but i definitely think he didn’t have to run as physical in 2020, mainly because he had a lot of great weapons. Maybe this year will be similar, it’s very early. But he definitely had to be physical today to win.
  23. I think the concern has been more about Josh Allen having to run a bunch and hurdle defenders to score 34 points. Luckily his hand injury wasn’t serious. My ideal offense would look like Josh not needing to be our 1 man offense for 60 minutes. Part of that is his mentality which is a good thing and the reason we love him. The other part of it is the rest of the offense and previous OC’s not having any other clubs in their bag. He basically played perfectly superhuman today. He had two bad plays, the fumble and the miss at Ty Johnson’s feet. He had the highest YPC on the team. I think it’s hard for him to sustain that over a season, and especially against the good teams in the playoffs. Keon playing so much was a welcome surprise though. If he can build off this week 1, the hand wringing over not having a number one is going to look very silly!
  24. Sure it requires more analysis and data. Definitely agree with that. But that’s kinda the thing. Josh wipes away a lot of mistakes. It could be OC mistakes, receiver mistakes or they can’t get open, bad play design, etc, If Torrence whiffs on a block and the play is dead from the jump, Josh can still make something out of nothing and hurdle a guy then we can go “well we scored so the OC did something right.” I just don’t agree with that part.
  25. We are their boogeyman, just like the old Pats were to us. They may as well spot us 7 points before we walk on the field.
