Good lord people act like Buckner made the only error ever in a World Series game. Truly baffling. The other thing about that play is that even if he caught it, Mookie put on the jets and it seems like he would have beat the throw. We’ll never know for sure but to me this was one of the most ridiculous finger points in sports history.. especially if you take into account that game seven was yet to be played.

Manning started winning when he started playing better in big spots.

No drama please.. just a point blank question. Does McD have what it takes to help this team win it all? Do you think that he will find a way to mess it up? If you feel that the Bills should move on.. who should take his place?

Diggs is mentally weak.. it’s obvious. He lacked the concentration to make a catch on one of three deep throws he was targeted on. No it is not all on him but he added to the issues this team had that lead to the loss. Postgame he decided to take the ball and go home like a little boy. His decision. The fans and the media can make a decision on how they feel about him too. One thing is for sure. If this team is looking for leadership, they won’t find it with Stefan Diggs.

The 2nd and 9 endzone shot to Shakir

Not if they stay healthy. It’s a gamble either way. Say what you want about the offense. It was tough to watch KC not even needing 3rd down to move the ball up and down the field. -

I would go 60/40 in favor of the defense. Allen needs some help. No question. But if you look at the game last night, the running game was fine. The game plan on offense was working well enough. There comes a time late in the game that you have to figure out how to stop the other team.. KC was moving the ball to the point that they didn’t need a 3rd down. -

Diggs had a tough night.. plenty of blame to go around though. You want to throw every resource at the offense? I wouldn’t go that far. -

Yep.. I understand that the competition is good but at some point the defense has to make a big stop when it matters most. It’s a complimentary game. This team can score points (they could use a number one receiver) but the defense is the reason the Bills are where they are now. -

You’re right because the defense is fine just the way it is. Thanks for being so correct so clearly, so often. -
Divisional Playoffs - Chiefs at Bills - Post game thread

It’s not weird at all but the playoffs are where legends are made in pro sports. It comes down to making that one last throw, the catch, the sack, the pick, forcing a fumble… etc. A lot of losers at the end of the season because winning is the ultimate. For me, the reg season is a cool time killer. It’s fun.. but the playoffs are when I actually pay close attention. Just remember.. we can’t influence any of these games on the field so some perspective is necessary. -

Guys… that was an instinctual play and decision made by Allen to go for the throat in that situation. It is the way he is wired. I do not think it was a smart decision even if it was a TD because there would be more time left on the clock for KC to try and come back. It’s a gray area though. You can try to think it through but there is nothing definitive from what could have would have should have happened. If.. if.. Nothing is guaranteed. Even if it was a TD right there, KC still does have to drive to set up a score. Not guaranteed that they would have but likely I guess. Pure speculation. in looking at it, I think Allen should have threw it underneath. But going a step beyond that, I think that the biggest issue on the play was that Allen was not able to notice the rush in time to try and shift a bit before the attempted throw. This is all split second in the moment analysis as a QB but the great ones are able to see it a bit better and step up to make the throw. I would have liked a short throw to eat up more clock and keep marching. Allen is dynamic. Unfortunately.. the team needs to learn from a season ending loss yet again. On offense.. I thought Diggs had the worse game of any other player. There were a handful of tough catches that he dropped.. around three. The Bills needed him to make one of them. He couldn’t. That’s football. The Front office needs to ask themselves one question. WHAT DO WE HAVE TO DO TO IMPROVE THIS TEAM’S DEFENSE SO WE CAN SLOW DOWN KC. PERIOD & END OF STORY. Make no mistake. This was a disappointing loss. I expected the Bills to win this game. This entire team and the fanbase feels like ***** right now. The fans will always be there but they can’t make plays, choose personel. Tunnel vision in the offseason for 2024. I’m more upset about this loss than I thought I would be. This was a missed opportunity but what’s done is done. What are the Buffalo Bills? A talented team that is unable to make clutch plays when it matters most. That’s who they have been. That’s who they are. When will they break through is the question because we all know that this team is close but I am sick of saying that as well. -
The same was said when OJ Simpson was running for 2003 yards in 14 games. Talent going to waste.. unfortunately happens all the time in sports. Allen still has time but let’s face facts, there have been numerous opportunities already, yet the trophy case remains empty. All they can do is prepare for 2024. F yesterday.

A play here, a stop there.. that’s what it comes down to.

Allen was legendary (even better than 13 seconds Allen)

Allen needs to be a Buffalo Bill for his entire career. Period. Gutsy performance tonight. Shame that they lost but this was not on the QB whatsoever. -

The Bills lost because of Josh Allen? I don’t know what game you were watching. Focus on your agenda I guess. -
What is the best out to Allen’s contract?
KeLLy1278 replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen… was impressive tonight! Big time runs and controlled attacks to the outside. He stuck to the game plan and gave it his all. No issues with this kid. He left it all out there. They did not lose this game because of Josh Allen. It’s hilarious to even entertain it. Why did they lose this game?? A defense that simply could not stop the run and could not get to Mahomes. -
It’s expected I guess. People are pissed off. I get it. It’s all about the playoffs. Dominating the regular season is nice but players and teams leave their mark on how they do in the playoffs. I wouldn’t worry too much about how solid the Bills fanbase is. It’s frustrating but that’s just being in the moment talk. Nobody is happy right now.. gotta get over that damn hurdle. I posted this week that this is this team’s chance to make their mark. If not now, when? Well.. this defense isn’t ready and until the Bills do everything they can to beef it up in the off season, the results will most likely mirror what happened tonight. You cannot win playoff games when another team is running all over you. The Bills have been due. We all know it. It’s passed that even. Fans are upset and that’s ok. The front office needs to get to work.

Divisional Playoffs - Chiefs at Bills - Post game thread
KeLLy1278 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bass didn’t kill our season dude. This defense just wasn’t ready to compete tonight. Give KC credit but the Bills need to figure it out in the off season. The Bills should be tired of losing to KC at this point. Truly. Build a legit solid defense. That’s all they can do to have a go in 2024. -
Injuries are a part of sports. Every team has to deal with them to an extent. This game tonight was an opportunity. It hurts and it sucks but the Bills just could not get it done vs KC. Prep as best as possible in the offseason and give this thing another spin in 2024. That’s all they can do.

The Bills need a truly solid defense. These things get exposed in the playoffs. If the Bills do not concentrate on this in the offseason there might as well not be a 2024 NFL season for them. Just treading water.
