  1. I don't have optimism for next year. We don't have the talent on our O-line or our D-line to compete against teams like Cincy. Absolutely positively dominated on both sides of the LOS. If the organization is going to stick with the current coaching staff and their coaching philosophy, what's going to be the difference maker that gets this team to the next level?
  2. R U serious? Josh spends most of the time on the field running for his life thanks to a porous O-Line. He's essentially left with busted plays because they turn into Josh having to create on the fly, which are not going to be high percentage plays. If it weren't for Josh's mobility, the Bills probably set a new record for their QB getting sacked in a season.
  3. Disagree. They just ran into a better and hungrier team than they were. Nobody is deciding they don't want to play any more 2 games from the SB.
  4. So I'll pose this question to you...If the organization is going to stick with the current coaching staff and their coaching philosophy, what's going to be the difference maker that gets this team to the next level?
  5. So continued early exits from the playoffs is acceptable to you all the way until McD retires? Yikes.
  6. I'm no Jerry Jones fan either, but the point I was trying to make was he's an owner that is always involved with the team, who wants to win, and will do what he thinks he needs to do to make that happen. I'm not sure Terry has that same commitment to try and win a championship. He's always struck me as more of a guy who wants to field a competitive team, but doesn't show a lot of interest in trying to go beyond that. Not nearly as bad as tightwad Wilson was, but also not a night and day difference either.
  7. You know what? I bet Josh and Diggs are already over it. I suggest you try to do the same. Calling to break up one of the best QB-WR tandems in football isn't it.
  8. That and the fact their receivers were pretty much running wide open all game too.
  9. What would our O-line look like with 3 backups? That right there is an indication we aren't a top tier team and Cincy is. Von Miller would've made zero difference in that game. They were getting blown off the ball on almost every snap. If your starting D-line can barely get a whiff of the QB for almost the entire game and are getting gashed on the ground at the same time, sorry, but you're not a top tier playoff team. That's not even getting into how terrible the offense looked.
  10. The phrase "quality over quantity" comes to mind here. We have just the opposite on our line...quantity over quality.
  11. If we paid Edmunds what he will demand on the open market, the amount of money we will have tied up just between him and Von on the defensive side would be mindboggling.
  12. This team was thoroughly embarrassed in their own house yesterday. This was not a top tier team in the playoffs. A top tier team is what dominated the Bills in every aspect of the game with 3 starters out on the O-line.
  13. The thinking there is with his height and wingspan, he can basically create a big black hole in the middle of the field that swallows up any balls thrown his direction, but like you said, I'm just not seeing where that happens on anything remotely close to a consistent basis. Without addressing the O-line and WR, we are doing a huge disservice to Josh. Someone with his rare talent deserves better and if this front office and coaching staff don't understand that, they are simply ensuring Josh will never have the protection and weapons he needs to go toe-to-toe with Burrow and Mahomes in the postseason.
  14. Just qualifying for the playoffs should not protect a HC's job. It wasn't even that difficult to make the postseason this year. If you're getting bounced in the earlier rounds after getting to the AFCCG, you're regressing, not progressing. And yesterday's loss was simply embarrassing.
  15. If Jerry Jones were the owner, he'd be gone this morning. Heck, may have been gone after 13 seconds.
  16. Especially with what it's going to cost us to keep Edmunds.
  17. Von made the entire line look better than it actually was because he demanded so much attention. Bruce Smith did the same thing.
  18. I've always said, what good is a D-line rotation if most of the guys you're rotating are mediocre? You just have a fresh, mediocre line.
  19. We know the O-line had big issue going into yesterday, but OMG, yesterday at times it seemed like they weren't even there. Small speed bumps at best. Josh getting almost instant pressure from the second he received the snap. Your QB not having any time to throw even against a 3-man rush at times is just inexcusable. Morse and Dawkins are the only people on that line worth a darn IMO. Saffold said he wants to stay in Buffalo. He doesn't even deserve half of what we paid him to come here the way he's looked this season.
  20. Deservingly so. To get embarrassed like that at home on both sides of the ball is inexcusable. The scoreboard wasn't even indicative of how big a butt whoopin that actually was. Completely dominated in all aspects of the game.
  21. So he doesn't technically need to be fired. Just not re-signed.
  22. Great post and I couldn't agree more. This offense never looked the same after that game and even though the defense got exposed, Frazier stubbornly stuck with the same exact things. If you cannot adapt in this league, you are doomed to fail.
  23. Whether it's McD or Frazier is dumb either way. I can't say I've ever seen a defensive scheme that brings a big blitz on 3rd and 4, but also has all the DBs playing at least 10 yards of the ball. Mind-numbingly frustrating to watch. So my question then...is McD trying to throw Beane under the bus there or does McD have some culpability in these draft picks that aren't panning out? I wonder how much McD is involved in who we end up picking. Seeing with how defense-heavy we have gone, I would have to say he's been deeply involved.
  24. The more time that passes, the less likely it becomes that anyone is let go. If 2 weeks passes and we've heard nothing, I think it's probably a safe bet that nobody is out.
  25. Some people are saying Josh isn't taking what he's given, but like on the 4th down play yesterday, it looked to me like there weren't any short receivers that went to the sticks and basically everyone went to the endzone. Even still...if Josh does like to get a little long ball happy at times, I think Reich would be the guy best suited to tame Josh and reel him back in if he gets in that mindset. The playcalling I see from Dorsey seems to just feed Josh if he does get in that mode. It's like red meat. I think Dorsey did a decent job in his first season, but I think Josh's talent alone can make most coordinators look good. I'm just not of the opinion this is the time we need to be rolling the dice and hoping Dorsey gets better when we could potentially get someone like Reich with a great track record as an OC and who seems like a no-brainer fit in Buffalo. Josh could actually hate his guts but he's never going to say it. That's not who he is. I've never heard Josh say a bad word about anyone. Heck, he even talks highly of Wilkins the package grabber. But you're right...they most likely stick with him, even though I'd rather have Reich there.
