I don't get where these calls to spend a high draft pick on a RB or splurge on a FA RB are coming from. Improve the line, our run game improves along with it. IMO, Cook showed good progression all season once he started getting some decent snaps. Our glaring need is clearly WR2 and the O-line. If we don't fix those, who's in the backfield makes little difference. LMAO, crazy isn't it.
-
Cook's proven incapable of what? The guy has shown steady progression all year once he finally started getting some playing time. See what's going on with Diggs right now? None of that changes unless we get someone who can legit take some attention away from him on the other side. WR2 and the O-line is the highest priority unless you like seeing Diggs blanketed, Davis dropping balls, Josh running for his life, and a lack of openings for our backs. You never had one apparently.

Cook was a 2nd round pick, who showed good progression all year the more playing time he got. To throw another high pick at a RB, when the glaring needs on this offense are WR2 and OL is not wise. The line gets better, Cook also gets better. It doesn't matter who you're putting in the backfield if the blocking isn't there. Any RB that's back there is being setup to fail without decent blocking.
-
No RB we put back there is going to dazzle until we fix the O-line. We need a legit WR2 and to fix this line. Cook is capable of being our feature back in this style of offense if we can finally get some good blocking rather than having running plays blown up in the backfield.
-
No, no, and no. There is no justifying taking a RB in this draft, when the glaring needs on offense are clearly WR2 and the OL. Drafting another RB when we drafted a very capable one in the second round last year, who made clear progress this season and will be even better next season with some better blocking in front of him, would be a complete waste of a pick.
-
Why would we draft a RB over a WR? We do not have a legit WR2 right now and that's hurting our WR1. This draft should be WR and OL exclusively. We fix those and we take some attention off Diggs, give Josh time to throw, and actually open holes for Cook, who is capable of being our feature back, especially if he adds some weight this off-season. What? LMAO

The only thing that realistically happens this year is we have a change in coordinators, and even then it may only be DC if we're lucky. Dorsey did a decent job in his first year but seemed to be lacking in situational football play calling all season. When it's 3rd and 2, you shouldn't be calling 40-yard throws. I would love to see Reich return home. I think he has a good track record as OC and would be able to reel Josh back in if he gets into hero ball mode. I think Dorsey's playcalling tends to feed Josh's bad habits at times. I think it's a no-brainer we need something different on the defensive side. Frazier is waaaay too predictable and the bend but not break has been breaking.

We need a legit WR2 more than we need a RB. And OL help as you said. If we fix the OL, Cook is more than capable of being our feature back.

Are the Bills committed to Ed Oliver in 2023?

There seems to be a lot of groupthink in this organization. Ed will finally have that breakthrough season we've been waiting for, Davis is a legit #2, McKenzie is a capable slot, the O-line is good enough, and on and on. It's like they convince themselves of these things, but none of them are really based in reality. -

Yep, this D-Line rotation thing simply sucks up roster spots to swap around what are mostly mediocre players. Keep the few decent ones and re-direct that money where it needs to be...the O-line. Any future DL signings needs to focus on quality, not quantity. -

Josh is the only one we really gotten right though. We've struck out on nearly every high draft pick we've had in recent years besides Josh. (Not including Elam in that since the jury is still out). -

We need to trade Ed. He's worn out his welcome here and clearly hasn't lived up to his draft position and expectations. -
Bill O’Brien - thoughts about him as OC?
Billz4ever replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's who they were going with anyway, so he's just towing the company line. And as far as Beasley, again, no point even bringing him back. -

I didn't hear Josh say anything different about Dorsey than what I've heard him say in the past. And given how little Dorsey even tried to piece Beasley into the offense, I don't even know why they even bothered bringing him back. -
Unless they fix the O-line and get a legit WR2 that can actually catch the ball and pulls some of the attention off of Diggs, this team is not winning 13 games next year, especially with that schedule.

He never said he wants Dorsey. He just said good things about him, like Josh does with everyone. -
Saffold said guys were "exhausted" this week and "out of gas"

What's wrong with hiring Frank Reich as OC? -
Was bringing Hamlin into locker room just a bad call...
Billz4ever replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
They wanted it more because they didn't run out of gas or juice or whatever excuses I've seen thrown around. If you can't get up for a divisional round playoff game, 2 wins from the SB, you aren't hungry and you don't want it. -
You do get something...a crappy draft position, lol. It's like getting a lump of coal in your stocking.

Michael Thomas or Odell Beckham Jr.?
Billz4ever replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think there's a pretty good former HC and OC available who's name rhymes with Mike that fits that description and who's available right now. Matter of fact, I think he used to play for us too 😂 -

Billz4ever replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
And then the question becomes, does he actually get to play or do we get to keep on seeing Davis not catch the ball? Bite your tongue, lol -
I hope the entire draft does go to OL/WR, lol. If they don't, they're probably calling Beas mid-season.

Oh, yeah. Apple was bigtime under his skin. That was very evident early on.
