LMAO, Kelce played in 1 more game than Diggs did this season and had two more catches and 1 more TD. Diggs had more yards. In 16 games, Juju had 933 yards and 3 TDs. In 15 games, Gabe had 836 yards and 7 TDs in what was considered a bad season. Please tell me you have more than this to demonstrate KCs receivers and backs are much better than the Bills.

While Josh is the one throwing the ball, I have to say Dorsey's playcalling must have something to do with it. I think Daboll was better able to keep Josh grounded and not looking for the homerun ball every time. It seems Dorsey tends to feed Josh's bad habits at times and they have to do better there.

I've read several posts where it's pretty clear the goal was to over-inflate the talent of KC's supporting cast to downplay the talent of Mahomes. If they had just made it about the O-Line and coaching, I could agree with that, but the second they're making it out to seem like the KC WR corps and RBs are somehow head and shoulders better than the Bills, it was pretty clear what the intent was, and I will call that out. My only theory is they literally couldn't find another guard that wanted to go.

The good news is that if Josh gets help on the O-line and another weapon at WR, he'll actually have more to work with than he has in the past. The FO has consistently dumped resources into the defense and tried to do the offense on the cheap and they got away with it, but it was really just a matter of Allen's talent masking the underlying problems. The Bills don't have to make big splashes in FA to make Josh's life a lot easier. Have a good draft that addresses the issues and make a few smaller key FA signings and things look much better right away.

Yep, and if Beane can get Josh some more weapons and some better protection, Josh will have the opportunity to maybe overtake Mahomes. But that's the key...he actually has to do it. You can't simply say if Josh had Mahomes' coach and line he'd be just as good. That's pure speculation based on hypotheticals. Josh would still have to prove it. Do I hope he does? Dang skippy because as Allen goes, obviously so do the Bills.

Which is very good news. I was dreading reading the out of the blue headlines like we had with Von's surgery about Josh undergoing surgery and how he will miss significant time next season.

No, what the posters have consistently done here is to try and diminish and downplay Mahomes' talent and push the idea Mahomes is only as good as he is because of the system and his supporting cast. It's the same argument Bills fans used for a decade+ with Brady. It's now been regurgitated and amplified because the Bills have a good QB of their own, so there's direct competition. They've repeatedly tried to make the KC WR corps out to be these below the radar pro bowlers, which is utterly ridiculous and not supported by any stats whatsoever. KC's WRs are marginally better than the Bills receivers at best. Again, all done with the goal of diminishing Mahomes. If you are in this camp, yes, I will call you a homer because people who engage in such practices clearly lack any objectivity.

Stefon Diggs - “I watched the game five times”
Billz4ever replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don't think we'd ever see that from Diggs. He's too much of a competitor. When he's on the field, his goal is to embarrass the DB across from him. He loves the trash talk and when he's not getting the ball, he can't do that. That's one of the reasons he was so upset in the Cincy game because Eli Apple was talking trash to him all game and Diggs couldn't shut him up because he wasn't getting the ball. -

I'm sure he's probably aware of the dead cap hit we take if we do and that's why he also knows he's not going to be traded. -

Dead cap. You can look it up on spotrac and it's not pretty. -

Just the cap hit we take if we trade Diggs is enough to ensure he's not getting traded. -

If the Jets find themselves a real QB this offseason, you can throw them in there too. -
Frazier: The hard FACTS on why many of us want a change.
Billz4ever replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
They gave up 27 and it might as well just have been 40. The Bills couldn't stop the run or the pass. 240 through the air and 172 on the ground. 30 first downs. Everybody knows the offense stunk. Frazier's defense has stunk in the Bills last 3 playoff losses. Trying to pin this on the rookie OC when the defense couldn't stop anything is laughable. Cincy came out from the start doing exactly what they did in the Monday night game and it was clear Frazier didn't change up anything. -

He's a UFA. -
Oh, so we're back to the Brady argument where he's only as good as he is because of the "system". Heard that for a decade+ from Bills fans now we've resurrected it again to try and label Mahomes the same way. It's simply a coping mechanism to try and downplay one guy and justify why our guy hasn't been able to accomplish the same. Only took Brady going to another team, throwing for 5300 yards 43 TDs and winning another ring to finally put that nonsense to bed. And let's stop trying to inflate the KC WR corp and Pacheco and turning them into probowlers. Pacheco had 830 yards and a 4.9 ypc. Cook had over 500 yards on half the carries Pacheco had with a 5.7 avg splitting time with motor and who saw very little playing time the first part of the season.

So what? Does that mean we have to give Josh a handicap when comparing the success between the two? The only legitimate comparison you can use is what they do on the field. Everything else is just excuses. You can literally use that argument when comparing any QBs. Some have more weapons, a better OL, or better coaching than others do and just like with Josh, it's not a valid argument #1 because you can't swap positions and #2 those things are almost never equal no matter who you're comparing.

I love Dabs and I think he was able to keep Josh in check and reel him back in if he got into hero ball mode. I don't get the same sense from Dorsey and I think Dorsey's play calling feeds that tendency. I was fine with Dorsey taking over for Dabs since I thought the offense would look essentially identical. That's not what we got and the offense often times seemed to have no rhyme or reason for the plays being called and they lacked the ability to play situational football. I hope they can figure that out this off season.
