  1. Those things all go hand-in-hand. Good luck building a team without being strong in those two areas in-particular. They are fundamental to a good football team and right now, we are not strong for certain in the O-Line dept and many would argue coaching too, but we've already basically been told we are having the same guys running the offense and defense next season. For the same reason nobody wants him as their HC either.
  2. Let's pretend Beane does all those things this offseason (improves OL, WR2, running game). Do you think we can get there with Dorsey or are we just going to find out again we've got an offense that looks unstoppable at times (mainly beginning of the season) or one that sputtered to a near halt too many times and turned the ball over as well?
  3. I really hope Beane gets serious and does better than bringing in clowns like Saffold or it's going to be a looong season.
  4. I think he's clearly the slot guy. Taking over that Beasley role that Josh loved under Dabs and what Crowder was brought in for. I see them bringing in Crowder as the bridge to get to Shakir. I was never really high on Crowder though to begin with and McKenzie is definitely not the guy. Problem is, Dorsey doesn't use the slot like Dabs did. That Beasley role we were used to under Dabs was nearly non-existent this year.
  5. How is that not true though? That was my take. You can't copy a team. You can't replicate a Mahomes, a Kelce, or a Reid. You can look at where their strengths are and say that we need to get better in certain areas and commit more resources and attention to them. In our case, O-Line being one of those glaring needs. You don't have to say we're copying KC, but that is a sure strength of theirs and I think that was the point he was making.
  6. One look at our O-Line compared to theirs, it's quite clear we haven't been trying to copy them. In the coaching dept, I don't know if we ever get on par with them.
  7. Besides being a heck of a talent, he's just a heck of a guy and I really feel bad he's been on this team since 2018 and he been having to work with a poor OL and not many real weapons, while the D has been prioritized at his expense.
  8. Not quite sure he's worth a first rounder. Jeudy and the second of their two 3rd rounders is more of what I'd be looking for there.
  9. Along with Bijan Robinson, he's another guy I'd be very surprised to see fall to us. He's considered possibly the best WR available in the draft amongst guys like Addison, JS-N, and Hyatt. Can't see Hyatt falling to the end of the 2nd and if I see another DE taken, I'm gonna lose it.
  10. He's at least 2 yards deep, LMAO
  11. Yeah, just the look on his face and the way he's still talking there, it's pretty clear he needed some time away to clear his mind and put the disappointment of this season behind him. This season was an emotional rollercoaster for the whole team and how it ended was just completely deflating.
  12. 9 games against teams in the postseason this year, including both Super Bowl teams and Cincy. We will be tested often.
  13. For the field to be in that kind of shape for a Super Bowl was disgraceful. Might as well have played it in the snow at Highmark.
  14. And neither was Hines. Beane specifically drafted a pass catching back and then traded for another and neither were used in that capacity. That's a clear disconnect between Beane and Dorsey. There was little to no incorporation of our backs into the passing game whatsoever this past season outside of dump offs on a checkdown. That needs to change and that's on Dorsey.
  15. Seeing how light this draft is at true first round WR talent and OL talent too for that matter, if he's there at 27, even though I've said 100 times I doubt he is, we'd be foolish not to take him. I don't recall many drafts where you see any of what's considered top-5 draft talent to fall to the end of the round. I also think he'd be a much better short yardage back for us too. Seems our only short yardage options are always either throw or QB sneak.
  16. Robinson is a tackle-breaking machine. And not fast? Dalvin Cook was clocked at 4.5 pre-combine and pulled off a 4.4 at the combine. Robinson was clocked at 4.49. If he can shave time at the combine like Dalvin did, he'll be one of the fastest players in the draft.
  17. If you're looking at BPA and true first round talent, if Robinson is there at 27, along with 2nd round WR and OL talent, Robinson has to be your guy in the first. We'll probably end up with a Safety anyway knowing this FO.
  18. No it doesn't because Cook was brought here to be the pass catching RB Beane thought he was getting with McKissic that fell through. A back like Robinson is also much better suited for short yardage than backs like Cook. Our only real short yardage options right now are to throw or QB sneak.
  19. Look at the push from this line. I could score a TD behind that.
  20. McShay's logic is mind-boggling bad. He explains what Gibbs is good at but doesn't explain why that's somehow a great fit for the Bills considering Gibbs is a back so similar to what we already have. He is faster, but still the same type of back.
  21. You're not going to find a 220 lb back who's known for his tackle-breaking ability, runs a sub-4.5, won the Doak Walker award, and is a 1st team All-American in the undrafted FA pool and there's not a ton of actual first round talent in the areas we have our biggest needs. It's all going to come down to who's on the board when it gets to us. Only a few WRs are actual first round talent in this draft. Same for OL. I don't want to see the Bills reach. If Robinson is somehow there, I think you have to take him. If Robinson is gone and depending on what WRs and OL are still on the board, we may be better trading out of the first to the early second to get our guy and get an additional pick. If someone like Jalin Hyatt is still there, maybe we take him or one of the few 1st round talents on the OL.
  22. What I saw were two dominant offensive lines. Something we should be trying to build instead of signing clowns like Saffold.
  23. Ah, the old Trent Dilfer - Dan Marino argument.
  24. I see the Chiefs going WR or EDGE. I think they are good with Pacheco honestly and can't see them taking Robinson. I keep seeing mocks having him go to Baltimore, but they need more help at WR too. Other mocks have him going to Dallas, which with Pollard there, doesn't make much sense either unless they don't think he's a long-term answer. Also seen Gibbs as projected to Dallas too. It would be crazy to see a top 5 talent fall to the end of the round, but it is a possibility however small.
  25. Yeah, Beane could try to use FA to fix the line. If he does, I hope he does better than Saffold. I don't know what they were looking at that made them think that guy could still play. Even then, it should've been obvious in camp that he was done.
