Josh got fooled by the D call. Spags disguised the blitz perfectly making it look like the pressure was coming from the other side. You can see Bolton on the clip posted threatening blitz up the middle and then backed out into coverage. It's a game of cat and mouse and Spags got the call correct. Crazy part is Josh still was able to beat it and it should've moved the chains.

I give Keon a little more slack than Dalton seeing this was his rookie season, but not much. Dalton now going into year 3 and didn't produce as much as Tucker Kraft in GB did, taken in the 3rd round of the same draft class.
-
Literally blocked nobody that play, but that's what a Spags defense will do to an o-line at times. Unfortunately, it was on 4th down.
-
Josh may not have even been able to see him, at least not very well. He knew where he was supposed to be. Once again, the supporting cast lets him down.
-
Who's made some great catches this year and is also a better blocker than Kincaid anyway. I know Kincaid missed a couple games, but durability is also part of the game. Kincaid underachieved this season and had a worse year than Tucker Kraft (GB TE taken in the 3rd round, same year as Kincaid).

Von Millers name was not mention ONE TIME last night!
Billz4ever replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
Groot lost contain on multiple plays in that game and without a spy on Mahomes, the edge was there for Mahomes to run all night. -

While we're naming names, add Groot to the list of no-shows last night. He spent more time on the ground than upright. I don't think we pay him or at least I think we shouldn't. Another Edmunds situation as far as I'm concerned. He just never showed me enough and never shined-through when we needed it most. -
Still cracks me up that we gave Mahomes to the Chiefs

Not saying Mahomes isn't great because he is, but comparing the two when Mahomes was playing against our lousy D when Josh was playing the KC D that has carried them all year isn't really fair. I think Josh would shred our D too. They are comparable talent-wise, with Mahomes given the edge based on resume. -

Mahomes went into what should be any QB's dream scenario coming out of college. -

I think any talented QB going into the Andy Reid system would've had success. Mahomes level? Who knows and we'll never know, but I think if you put Josh in that same situation, I think Josh already has at least one ring by now, if not multiple. -
LMAO, I'd chip in but I don't know how much Terry would care unless we put if right outside his house.

I'd be OK with Garrett as long as it's not a long term deal. He turns 30 in December. No more Von Miller-esque contracts for guys on the wrong side of 30. Problem with that though is those guys want long term deals at that stage. DJ Moore's contract is pretty gross. He's basically owed $23.5M every year through 2029. I don't really think he's worth that IMO.
-
His contract aside, I'm sure LV is going to want more than just pick 30. We'd basically be eating up most of any cap room we have plus giving up a ton of draft capital just on one player and hoping he turns into what we expected from Von and didn't get. I think getting another run stuffing DT to replace Daquan is a bigger need IMO.

Didn't say it was because of us. I said we were discussing viable options that were in the realm of possibility, which ended up happening. McD getting canned isn't. It's venting frustrations, which is fine, but needs to be recognized for what it really is.
-
True, but discussions we've had on this board have turned into reality in the past. We discussed WR options available mid-season (Cooper) and that's who they ended up bringing on board.
-
It all starts up front. Until we get a D-Line that can consistently control the LOS and generate pressure, we will also ultimately continue to have problems at LB and the secondary no matter who is back there even if some of those guys are pretty good (Benford, Milano, Bernard).

Gut feeling...how would we have fared against Philly?
Billz4ever replied to Billsfanatic8989's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think it would've been similar to playing Baltimore. Hurts is no Lamar, but he's good enough for what their offense needs him to be and is threat to run. We would need turnovers to stop their offense and if we don't get them, the game becomes an offensive shootout. Not a good matchup for us and we were fortunate to get the win vs Baltimore. -
Lots of people salty about the lack of pro bowlers and all-pro sections on this roster, but when you look at it, particularly the defensive side, who are the real stand-out talents on this team? A fully healthy Benford? Healthy Milano and Bernard? This team spent a lot of draft capital on the defense and doesn't have a whole lot to show for it and the worse part, is that those picks were at the expense of the offense. No way am I paying Groot anywhere near top DE money. Guy spent more time on the ground yesterday than upright.
-
Heck, I want lots of things but I like to keep it to things that are within the realm of possibility. I get this was another gut-wrenching loss in the McD era, but we need to keep it real. He's not going anywhere and we need to be thinking about what can actually be done to win and get over the hump.
-
I have to admit I fell for the Kincaid pick justification we were given and was rolled with it because what else can we do? Beane sat pat at pick #25 as 4 straight WRs went off the board at 20-23 (Jaxon SN, Quentin Johnson, Zay Flowers, Jordan Addison). Basically, "He's just as good or better than a WR, guys!!!". and Meanwhile, at the end of year 2 in a Bills uni, Kincaid has underachieved, and is getting clearly outclassed by Sam Laporta taken in the 2nd round.

We are currently negative 2.5 mill in cap space for 2025
Billz4ever replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
That should be a no-brainer at this point. -
Until Pegula is convinced a change is necessary, nothing else matters because in the end, his opinion is all that matters and I don't think he's anywhere near that point yet.
-
I'm not happy with McD and that isn't a recent change of heart. I've been saying what you and lot's of others have been saying for a couple years now and I don't know if a SB is ever in the cards for this team with McD at the helm. Having said that, replacing the head coach should not be something you go doing half-cocked. If you're going to do it, it should've already been a contingency plan in the works for plans with the way forward. I don't think it's ever even been a discussion in the FO at this point and if you do it half-cocked, you're only inviting in disaster.
-
So you're saying you want Pegula to fire the coach that just lost by 3 in the AFCCG and hire some obscure coaching candidate in the waiting we know nothing about? I wish you luck in this pipe dream. So instead of giving even one name, you engage in personal attacks. Welcome to ignore buddy.

Calling for change but having no idea what change should be made other than saying fire the HC and replace him with ??? isn't a real solution. That's a South Park underpants gnomes situation. 1. Steal underpants (Fire McD) 2. ???? 3. Profit
