  1. Too bad we won't be facing the Seahawks in the playoffs, eh? Guess some people really do have short memories if they've already forgotten how Derrick Henry hung 200 yards on us and there's a very real possibility we do see them in the playoffs.
  2. Yeah, he had a PF in the game in Miami too. I don't know if there's any real malice behind the hits, but it does raise an eyebrow.
  3. Absolutely this. We need some more heft up front to clog up the run lanes. Some of the holes the Fins were running through today were just embarrassingly big.
  4. When you play with such a light box like we do, success is highly dependent on the D line eating up blocks, holding lanes, and keeping the Oline from getting into the second level and engaging the LBs. If the Dline is doing that, our LBs look great because they can fly around in space and make plays. We got pushed up and down the field all game long. Luckily we had the ball last.
  5. That's precisely why it shouldn't have been challenged in the first place because he clearly had the first down anyway.
  6. Yep, Fins had our D on its heels basically the entire game. I thought the officiating screwed us on several plays and McD brain-farted on the challenge. I'll always savor beating the fish, but I think the Dline has some issues. Not sure if Beane has some magic beans left to make another move before the deadline to get some more heft up front.
  7. Not having that 3rd TO limited our options on that last drive. Forced Josh to throw to the sidelines vs being able to throw middle of the field. Still can't believe he challenged that.
  8. Still scratching my head about that one. We literally hired a guy for that exact thing. I can't imagine that came from him watching the replay in the booth, so that must have been McD all on his own.
  9. What is this "style wins" stuff? I'm concerned because our Dline got pushed up and down the field today. No part of that has anything to do with that and considering the same thing happened against Baltimore, who we could very well meet against in the post season, saying we shouldn't talk about it is crazy.
  10. Yep. Previous record was 59 yards by Steve Christie in 1993.
  11. The formula for making the playoffs in the NFL typically looks something like beating the teams you should and playing .500 ball against good teams. Our division has severely underperformed, which has worked to our benefit. We'll see where we stack up in the coming weeks with some of the competition we have upcoming.
  12. Teams that have records like the Jets.
  13. I never knew it was illegal to discuss apparent weaknesses in this team, but thanks for letting me know.
  14. We got trucked by the Ravens, lost to the Texans, the Cards lead their division at 5-4 and have given up more points than they've scored. The SeaChickens are clearly mid, especially without Metcalf, and the Jets were darlings on paper. But you're right, we will see where we really stack up with these games we have coming.
  15. I am enjoying the win. What I don't understand is the people who think it's somehow taboo to say this defense has some problems, which were exposed today. Can you show me where the only thing that can be said about this team here needs be all sunshine and roses?
  16. Other than a Hail Mary, which I didn't really want to see either, I saw the FG as the best of the bad options we had left.
  17. Are there actually people blaming that on Josh? Sheesh. Heck, Keon would probably tell you that was entirely on him.
  18. Sorry, not buying it, especially from someone who's been around as long as Poyer has. You know whether you hit someone in the head or not.
  19. Yep, go ahead and keep saying the defense getting exposed means nothing. I'll be looking for your excuses when they lose to good teams and get bounced in the playoffs again. OR you'll just get ignored since you don't own the place and don't get to tell people what to do.
  20. Sure thing, bud. Clearly legend in your own mind
  21. I've been watching and playing football since the 1980s but thanks for the tip.
  22. That and $8 buck will get you a Venti Latte at Starbucks. You're trying to claim a defense getting ran over by a team that's not good is meaningless and I'm telling you it's not.
  23. A game we are supposed to win and were favored to win at home.
  24. Yeah, not only were we getting no pressure, we repeatedly left receivers open out of the backfield for good gainers. Dline had a tough game, which also means the LBs are going to have a harder time too, which they did.
  25. There certainly is a difference between beating bad teams and being able to replicate that against good teams.
