Hopefully getting the Benford extension finalized before Benford sees what Horn signed for.

Guess it all comes down to what Sweat is looking for in terms of numbers. If he thinks he's anywhere near the ballpark of what Hendrickson will most likely get, let another team pay that. If it's closer to what Rousseau is getting, I'd be fine with that.

I still chuckle when I think of the fans who thought we should re-sign Edmunds. He just doesn't have good instincts and it was obvious to some of us that if he didn't have them by the time his contract was up here, he wasn't ever going to have them. Give me a Matt Milano any day over the physical freak Edmunds is. He has the physical gifts to be an all pro every year, but he just doesn't have the football IQ to know what's going on around him. He's not even the best LB on the Bears.

I like Cook a lot but to ask for top of the league RB pay for a guy that just squeaked over the 1K mark in the last game of the season is crazy. 16th in the NFL in rushing and averaging 63 yards a game does not warrant being paid like you're in the top 3.

They are overperforming because we have Josh Allen and have managed to find value in the later rounds, but that's hard to sustain year after year. Later round picks are later round picks for a reason and are harder to hit on. If you keep whiffing on your top draft picks, it's eventually going to catch up to you.

If he keeps whiffing on our top draft picks, they're more than likely never going to be able to close the gap though.

Beane, you've got to be better at hitting on our top draft picks. You just can't be whiffing on picks years after year, especially top draft talent, and expect to remain in title contention. It's going to catch up to you eventually and the only reasons it hasn't with this organization is Josh Allen and the fact we've been pretty successful in developing later round picks. And...STOP trading with the Chiefs!!!!
