Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation
Billz4ever replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
For a first? No way Beane would be that dumb. Would go completely against his entire philosophy of value. -
That's exactly why I said I can't believe we blew that game, lol
-
I kinda put the Jacksonville game last year in that category. I still can't believe we blew that game.
-
I certainly hope you're right. I'm just recalling opponents we've made look better than they really were.
-
I think Poyer being out hurts the most because even with the other guys in the secondary out, he was the guy that kept the squad together even with the 2nd and 3rd stringers. I'm gonna blow a gasket if we make this kid look like the second coming of Tom Brady coming off the bench for an injured Bledsoe.
-
Yes, that's certainly the devil's advocate argument because it was our failure to beat the teams we were supposed to beat last year that was the reason we were playing the playoff game in Arrowhead and not at home.
-
He hasn't practiced all week. Apparently, he hurt his ribs during that INT at the end of the game. He said he was fine and just had the wind knocked out of him. Obviously there was something wrong.
-
I'll be surprised if we see Oliver or Phillips in the game if the D is doing fine without them this week. Guessing Edmunds is out. If Davis is 100% I expect to see something out of him this week. He's been MIA since he came back.
-
It's right on the team page. Yeah, Poyer said he was fine after the game last week and said he just had the wind knocked out of him. Now he's out completely with apparent rib injury.

Singletary was close to fumbling with seconds remaining

Absolutely a panic buy and considering it wouldn't even be for 1/2 the season? That would be an outrageous asking price. He wouldn't get that from anyone. We can't afford it. Where's the money going to come from? Basically every contract that could be restructured already has been.

I've never really been a big fan of him myself. Highly overrated to me and IMO the only reason he was ever considered good was because he played behind Brady in Belicheck's system. Niners just spanked the Rams pretty good and niners fans are still busting on him. Maybe he'll workout better in a different system, but I've just never thought much of him.
-
He could be towards the tail end of the regular season and be good for a playoff run, but he knows teams are looking. I actually think he wants to remain in LA and he's traveling around touring other teams facilities and hinting he's willing to move on social media in order to be able to drive up his price for the Rams. The Rams need him. They aren't doing great on offense right now at all.
-
The trade will never happen because he's a free agent. I'm not a big fan of it anyway considering what his asking price is probably going to be.
-
Q1. We have no idea. Q2. We have no idea. Q3. We have no idea, but based on current cap space and how we are over the cap by $7.5M next year, I'm leaning towards a no.
-
Where in there is he claiming he would go back? Literally all he said is, "we'll see". And you're literally making my point for me. If his plans were simply to make it appear he's thinking about leaving to drive up the price for LA, social media posts like that and visiting other teams is exactly what you would do to sell it. And you still never explained where the Giants are going to get this good QB from.
-
If the Giants keep winning, they aren't going to be in a position to get a good QB and to assume whomever they plug in at QB is going to drastically improve them is pure speculation. Good QBs in this league do not grow on trees...something a Bills fan of all people, should understand. If anything, he's simply making it look like he having thoughts of leaving just to try and drive up the price for LA. To sell that, he'd have to go visit other teams, even if he never had any intention of signing with them.

Now is the time we need Cook to start playing well
Billz4ever replied to Orlando Buffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall
First off, he's not the starter, so if nobody in the league is afraid of our running game, take it up with Singletary, the O-line, and McD. Second, he's had a grand total of 13 carries this season, 11 of which came against Tennessee in garbage time after the game was already decided. So, you are literally basing your opinion of him on two, count them, TWO carries. Get a grip. Do people even realize that he's only had 13 carries all season and of those, 11 came in the Tennessee game basically in garbage time? So essentially TWO carries is what these people are basing their opinion on. To me, it sounds like a bunch of people piling on what first started as someone that had no clue what they were talking about said. -
And that change in QB is going to be....??? If he actually cared about a huge market, he'd simply stay in LA.
-
The Giants lead the league in rushing and are 31st in the league in passing. I would have no idea why he would ever want to go back to the Giants.

Allen is the Bills only short yardage option
Billz4ever replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even with the zone scheme though, you have a OL that gets a push up front and you have a back that's very quickly hitting one of those gaps because the zone schemes aren't designed to have big holes opened for what it a relatively longer period of time in a gap scheme. It seems as though it takes our running plays a long time to develop and there's just not anything there for the rb. Under previous regimes where we were able to run, you see the backs hitting the hole and getting through it into the next level of the defense very quickly. Just doesn't seem to be the case under current leadership. -

I guess they thought bringing Kromer back was the key to opening up the running game this season. They had a lot of people convinced this season was going to be different than the past several season's struggles. Seems like just more of the same at this point. It will always be difficult for any team that doesn't at least have the threat of a running game to go far in this league. Yes, we have JA17, but a competent running game would not only take pressure off of him, but it would also open up his throwing lanes and create more opportunities for our receivers to get open. -

So, at what point are you McD here and finally come to the realization that what they're currently doing is just not going to cut it? Is it something he would be scared to do midseason because of all the potential ramifications? Do you think he thinks it's just a matter of time before this OL gels and believes it will come together? Or is McD just stubborn and will not change his ways no matter if it's abundantly clear the current gameplan isn't working? -

They did it for the 1st down that led to the FG for the win in Bal, so I don't know why they don't. Josh is a big, tall guy. I don't know why they don't think he can pick up a yard in goal line situations. Run it back to back to back plays if you have to. Stopping that play from getting a yard multiple times is a tall order for any defense.
