  1. I have no faith that CMC is the key to us winning the SB or even getting there. And if we have to waste a 2nd and a 3rd to bring him here and he leaves in the offseason, we are dumber than bricks.
  2. Not to turn around and cut him because we cant afford him it's not. That would be an epically dumb move for a rental. And the whole cap argument is much different this year than before. Josh, Diggs, Von all huge contracts. The big ones have already been restructured, so the argument "we did it before, we can do it again", insinuates this offseason is no different than the last one, which couldn't be further from the truth if you look at our projected cap (-$7.5M over) and the laundry list of FA's we have. We already knew going into this offseason we were facing a huge challenge and that's before people started talking about signing a guy with a $12M base salary next year. Then the argument shifts to "we can just cut him". Like giving up draft picks for a half season rental makes any sense whatsoever.
  3. Yet some people say that we should give up a 1st or 2nd to sign him. Giving away those kind of picks just to cut the guy would be just as dumb.
  4. So mortgage the future for a maybe. See the two names on the top of our free agent list? They are more important pieces to this team than CMC will ever be and if signing CMC means we can't afford to sign both of them, signing CMC would be an epically stupid move.
  5. My only point was signing CMC and keeping motor, makes this off season and trying to re-sign our other FA's on this huge list will make it even more of a nightmare than it's already going to be.
  6. Even if we sign him, there's no guarantee we win anything. People are even suggesting we give up a 1st rounder to get him. Not to mention, he's due $12M in base salary next season. Sounds like people are ready to sell the team's future and put us into salary cap hell to sign an oft injured RB.
  7. So that means not only are we taking On CMC's, contract, we would need to re-sign motor this offseason, which is not going to be anywhere near as cheap as his rookie contract where he's making less than $1M this year. Up until now, motor's contract has been a GM's best friend. That ends this year. Spotrac has his market value at $5M/year. If CMC is assumed to be the starter, we would be paying motor $5M a year to come of the bench. I think he walks if that's what he wants $$ wise and he's not even starting.
  8. Ok, so that's correct. So as some are suggesting, we should sign a guy for half a season and playoffs and give up a first-round pick for it and then not be able to afford him next year. Awesome plan. Wait, you're actually suggesting we give up a first round pick to get him and then cut him next year? LMAOOOO, So we give up a first-round pick to get a player for half a season and playoffs? And you do understand that signing him doesn't guarantee us winning anything, correct? You act like the SB is in the bag if we sign him. I love how the answer from anyone when it comes to signing players with high price tags is always to simply "restructure". Care to explain how that actually works with the team's current and projected cap space next year?
  9. The vomit emoji was created for that thought. Not ideal? It leaves us in a worse position than we are now and in salary cap hell.
  10. Scary thought, eh?
  11. LMAO, we're projected to be $7.5M over before even signing any of our own FA's and your solution is to add a dude owed almost $12M in base salary next year? You apparently don't want to re-sign any of our FA's. That or you're just real bad at math. So who are you cutting to get us under the cap and pay CMC?
  12. Wait, you're willing to put us in cap hell for the CHANCE to win now? CMC would guarantee nothing and there would still be the possibility we don't win the SB and then are still in cap hell all for nothing AND minus a first round pick. Yeah, umm...No.
  13. Giving up a 1st round pick for an injury prone back isn't happening and I'm sure Beane agrees considering he's all about "value". Not to mention, we can't afford him. We are already a projected $7.5M over the cap next year and that's before even signing any of our own big FA's.
  14. who has a history of injuries and does not warrant 1st round pick compensation.
  15. Still not worth a 1st round pick in any metric. If Carolina does move him, I can guarantee you it ain't for a 1st round pick. I don't think there's any team in the league right now that's so desperate for a RB, they would be willing to part with a 1st rounder. You are severely undervaluing what a first-round pick actually is.
  16. LMAO, so you're giving up Elam, Shakir (5th round, but you get the point), and Moss for an injury prone back that will still be running behind the statistically worst run blocking line in the league? Not sure what you see in CMC that's worth a 1st round pick or even close to that.
  17. To put it into perspective, that guy would be willing to give up Elam, Shakir (he was a 5th, but we had no 4th) and Moss for a talented, but often injured RB. Crazy talk.
  18. A 1st, 4th, & Moss? Oh, my. We're talking about CMC here, not Barry Sanders.
  19. Our line is statistically the worst run blocking line in the league and you're claiming they have zero responsibility here? Oh, my.
  20. You clearly want to take the ball out of Josh's hands because you're jealous of the Giants running game. LMAO
  21. When you look at the YPC for our backs, you will see you're wrong. They get more carries than our backs. Sounds like you want to take the ball out of Josh's hand and give to a RB in the hopes of having anywhere near the offensive output Josh gets.
  22. And when you statistically have the worst run blocking O-line in football, what are you expecting them to do?
  23. The Bills have the worst run block win % (65%) in the entire league. (Ranked 32nd) But keep thinking Barkley on this team makes a huge difference. We aren't getting him anyway, so you might as drop it and actually post about this team, not someone else's.
  24. We have the worst run block win % in the entire league (65%). The RBs aren't the problem. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34536376/2022-nfl-pass-rushing-run-stopping-blocking-leaderboard-win-rate-rankings-top-players-teams#rbwrteam
  25. The key to this game will be the Chiefs running game. Mahomes will still be there no matter what, but the Chiefs were able to run on the Bucs, so the Bucs were left guessing all game. That made things easy for Mahomes. If we are able to shut down their run, that makes the task of containing Mahomes not loom so large. The Colts limited KC to 53 rushing yards in their win. The Bucs gave up 189 rushing yards.
