  1. If the Defense is playing Nickel like they were, yes they do. Milano played last week when GB exposed our Nickel against the run. Frazier didn't adjust. If the other team is running on you, why are you playing a defensive scheme which is designed to be stronger against the pass? Are we really afraid of Zach Wilson?
  2. If the game is close, teams will not have to abandon the run like they do in the games where the Bills Offense has been putting up big points. That's been masking the weakness against the run using the Nickel and we could get away with it since teams were playing from behind. GB said screw it, we're running anyway and Jets did a copy/paste today since Frazier wants to stay in Nickel even though the offense is committed to running. I still have no idea why we needed to be in a nickel defense against an offense that was not really trying to establish a passing game #1 and #2 it was against Zach Wilson. You are seriously that concerned about Wilson you are willing to get gashed on the ground? What kind of thinking is this?
  3. What teams committed to the run and exposed it the way GB and the Jets did? Other teams didn't because the Bills had big leads and had to throw. GB was the first team that bothered, even though they were losing. If the Bills offense isn't making it easy for their defense, the Nickel is going to struggle because teams do not have to abandon the run to try and close the gap on the scoreboard. And can someone explain to me why you need to be running base Nickel against Zach Wilson anyway? Another excuse I was given last week too was basically the "Aaron Rodgers factor". OK, Zach Wilson is about as far as you can get from Aaron Rodgers at this point.
  4. If the offense isn't scoring almost at will, it seems the whole team struggles because of it. I had a feeling the 2nd half of last week was going to carry over to this week. Lots of people here flamed me for ringing alarm bells that the GB game plan exposed Frazier's use of Nickel as our base D all the time. The only responses I got were "we were winning by 17". OK, and as I said last week, Frazier is too stubborn and rigid to make the adjustments he needs to based on what the offense is doing. Jets clearly were focused on running, but Frazier is more worried about preventing the deep ball. Jets do a copy/paste of what GB was doing against our Nickel in the second half and Frazier wants to act like we are up the 17 pts we were last week. That is why he's not getting any phone calls for HC.
  5. They never switched it up. Against an aggressive D, you need to get the quick slants and screens going and there was almost no attempt to do that.
  6. Jets game-planned us good. They saw what GB was able to do last week on the ground against our Nickel D. They exposed it and proved it could be run on. The Jets did a copy/paste today and Frazier apparently thought he had a 17 pt lead to work with like he did last week. He's too stubborn and couldn't make the adjustments. The Jets were playing the pass and daring us to run, which we couldn't do consistently. The receivers were covered very well most of the game, but when they were open, Josh was missing them and badly on some throws. I don't know if he was misreading the coverages, but the 2 INTs were bad and there should've been a 3rd that he threw right at the DB when Shakir was wide open. Gabe straight up disappears for long stretches and I'm quickly losing faith in him as WR2. We need consistency from that position, not just a deep threat.
  7. Yeah, I certainly agree with those grades today.
  8. Where did I say it was Allen's fault? You're reading words that aren't even there.
  9. What are you even talking about? I simply said Allen getting the ball stripped, not only put us in a deep hole, but also let a ton of time run off the clock and we never recovered. That's just a plain and simple fact.
  10. The holding call was rough, but Allen getting the ball stripped is what killed us. There was plenty of time otherwise.
  11. If your defensive coordinator is too stubborn to switch up the D when the other team is clearly committed to the run, you deserve to get run on like that. GB exposed our Nickel D on the ground last week and the Jets followed that game plan.
  12. He was getting pressured quickly today, which I'm sure was a factor, but he looked today like he did the 2nd half last week, which was not good.
  13. Benching Allen is not realistic. Keenum is a "break glass in case of emergency" guy, as in if Josh gets hurt. This team wins or loses with Allen. He played bad today, no question, but Allen's bad is still better than anything else we got.
  14. Gabe disappears for long periods and is just not consistent. Yeah, he makes some big plays, but I'd take consistency, which is what you need out a WR2, more than just a deep threat any day.
  15. And they continued to run between the tackles and away from his side after he was out of the game, just like they did when he was in there. Your logic makes no sense.
  16. Rousseau plays outside. If they are running between the tackles, Rousseau isn't even hardly involved in plays like that unless he is chasing and makes the tackle downfield. I guess you missed the part where I said Rousseau had 1 tackle today. It's not like he was blowing up the run while he was in there.
  17. The Jets were running a lot between the tackles, so it's not like Rousseau was involved in a lot of those plays and when they did run outside, it was away from Rousseau. Rousseau recorded 1 tackle today.
  18. Von did what we expect from Von. It was the rest of the line that didn't do much. Not very much pressure to speak of and couldn't stop the run, but the run part I blame on Frazier for playing Nickel all the time.
  19. No, it's because Frazier is committed to the Nickel Defense, which is designed to stop the pass, not the run. Frazier thinks we are good enough to be able to stop the pass and the run with the Nickel. GB demonstrated last week, our Nickel cannot stop the run. The Jets were watching and followed that game plan. Frazier is so stubborn, he won't change it up even though it's clear the other team is intent on running the ball down our throat.
  20. If the O-line keeps up the protection we saw today, we might be seeing Keenum soon.
  21. It's called a defensive scheme designed to stop the pass is being used as our base D now and Frazier keeps thinking we can stop the run with it.
  22. Frazier thought he had a 17 point lead to play with like last week apparently. The other team is clearly committed to the run and your stubborn butt won't come off the nickel D. Games like this are why he keeps getting passed over for head coach. Can't adjust to what the offensive is doing and is always defending against the deep ball, which I don't think they even tried once? I think they did attempt one deep pass now that I remember.
  23. Jets were playing the pass and daring us to run. We couldn't run consistently. When they were open, Josh was missing wide open receivers, which he normally doesn't. Two more bad INTs. That was the difference today on the offensive side of the ball.
  24. If Frazier insists on playing Nickel as our base D, Green Bay, even though they lost, gave teams the recipe to beat us today. Jets were watching. That and Josh looked like rookie Josh much of the game.
  25. We're a 1/2 game up in the loss column and 0-2 in the division, while both Miami and NY are 2-1. That might technically be 1st place, but does it really feel like it?
