  1. And if memory serves me correctly, most of those attempts were outside, which plays into the strength of the defense.
  2. Which is exactly what boggles the mind that we didn't have the same game plan for this game considering the weather and the Jets playing a D susceptible to runs between the tackles.
  3. Don't see why it would be. That would mean it would have to be an advantage for us to play in this weather. Our offense and that weather are not a great combination. I believe the new stadium will be louder with how it's designed, which should definitely work in our favor.
  4. Gotta go with Dirty. Two drive killing drops on 3rd and long? Horrible.
  5. I'm sure a lot of the hype around Davis this season was based on his 4TD game against KC, but he's not even remotely close to what people were expecting out of him this year and what he has produced this year is even worse when you look at it from the perspective of how much attention Diggs gets from defenses.
  6. Didn't seem to bother the Jets. White was getting killed out there, even had to leave the game twice, and still passed for 268. Meanwhile, Josh had a season low 147.
  7. In all fairness, Tampa is a trainwreck right now. Brady should've stayed retired too.
  8. Even if we had him or a player of his caliber when he was at his best, I just don't see the play calling from Dorsey to take advantage of what he brought to the table.
  9. Allen was under pretty consistent pressure yesterday, but on most of the sacks, I do feel like he was holding the ball too long. He seemed to be slow on his progressions and then hesitating to take the dump offs.
  10. So, given our success against NE last week running the ball, how does this coaching staff justify just 13 rushing attempts from our backs, when the weather was bad and the Jets play the Wide-Nine, which is ripe for getting gashed up the middle? It makes no sense. Establishing the running game should've been a no-brainer and priority #1.
  11. When they're even showing on the TV how open the middle of the field due to the Jets Wide-Nine, it's unforgivable that they weren't running more running plays up the middle to exploit that. Not to mention, calling passes late in the game and stopping the clock for the Jets, when they should've been burning clock.
  12. He's getting paid to do exactly that. If he wants to go that route, if I don't do my job, I get fired.
  13. We run, but as soon as we have a couple no gains, we abandon it. It's almost as if Dorsey is getting impatient with the play calling. We turn into a 1-dimensional offense and expect Josh to carry it and it's just not a viable option when you have receivers not getting open and dropping balls when they are.
  14. I honestly thought Shakir would be that quick slant and short crosser route guy that we had with Beasley. I obviously thought wrong.
  15. No buying the weather argument. Mike White, who had to leave the game twice because he was getting killed, threw for 268. Bills were 2-13 on third down and Josh had his lowest yards this season at 147. Obviously not all his fault, but the ridiculous number of drops yesterday, combined with him being under constant pressure, was a bigger factor than the weather. Bills are #2 in the NFL in drops. That can't continue.
  16. The hype around Davis was off the charts going into the season. He was being heralded as the best #2 in football that could be a #1 on almost any other team in the league. I know that came from the his performance in the KC playoff game, but since the ankle injury, he's been average at best. Definitely not what we were expecting out of him. And don't get me started on Dirty. He's had a few flashes, but like Davis, has been very disappointing. His drops yesterday were just inexcusable.
  17. Bills were 2-13 on third down and Josh had 147 yards. If it weren't for the D yesterday, we lose that game.
  18. Wouldn't that be something if this version of the Bills implemented a no-huddle offense? We've got a certain HoF guy still hanging around that can give them a few pointers...
  19. I think this offense pre-bye week and post-bye week look like two completely different animals and I can't figure out why. What has changed? Just lack of execution? Dorsey just over-thinking it and getting away from what worked? Teams made adjustments? I just can't put my finger on it.
  20. Depends on what version of this offense you're talking about. Are you talking about the pre-bye week offense or what we've seen post-bye?
  21. I'm sure the weather was a big factor yesterday. That much was obvious, but as he pointed out, over the last month, the Bills are averaging 4 yards on 1st down. Most 2nd downs end either with an incompletion or a run for almost no gain, which sets up the predictable 3rd and long for Josh to have to make the "third and hope" happen.
  22. I have to agree with Josh being very conservative. I don't know if the red zone turnover thing has been haunting him or if it's being beaten into his head not to make those throws, but he did have the endzone toss last week to Davis that would normally not be considered a wise throw. I do agree though, it seems Josh is either not wanting to pull the trigger or he's just not seeing the open receiver. In a re-do today, I don't think Josh ever attempts that game winner to Knox against KC and I'm sure a bunch of others we saw earlier in the year.
  23. The part I don't get is that basically all the way up to the bye week, they looked almost unstoppable offensively. Did teams figure us out? Did we change something? Is it just poor execution? It's almost a night and day difference it seems at times.
  24. I don't like admitting it, but he makes fair points. We are in 3rd and long far too often. The O-line is not doing a great job and much of our offense is Josh creating on the fly, not executing the plays as designed because he either doesn't have time, or isn't finding an open receiver. Outside of Josh and Diggs who has any confidence in anyone else in this offense? I'd say Motor, but he needs the blocking to be there and for the most part, it's not. http://www.espn.com/video/clip?id=35237773
  25. And several weren't just simple drops either. They were drive killers. Gotta clean that up. Yeah, I'm looking at you, Dirty.
