Looming Stefon Diggs Contract situation - What do you do?
Lost replied to CountDorkula's topic in The Stadium Wall
I love everything about Diggs, his skill set, his relationship with JA and the team but this is probably the correct take. I'd be open to the possibility of resigning him for close to the 20 mil range(which i doubt he would go for) if the Bills don't resign Edmunds. I dont think we can afford both players next year nor do I think its good to have 80% of your cap tied up in a handful of players -
Tyreek seeking a trade [Now: Traded to the Dolphins]
Lost replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Chiefs got the ultimate return on investment with Tyreek Hill. Himself being drafted in the 5th round, 165th overall pick has helped carry the Chiefs to 6 Division titles, 2 Conference championships, a Super Bowl win and now being converted to 5 draft picks. Unbelievable value. I can only hope the Bills strike gold that deep in the draft one of these years. -
wtf... I would be swatting air

How is Miami's Oline? Hope with Von on our team we have enough pressure to neutralize at WR duo like that. -

Think every team is expecting the big salary cap balloon in the next couple years and paying in advance. Pretty wise actually. -
Do they ask him not to shed blockers on run plays?

Friday Fuel-Up with Dr. Mike Roussell-Guest Josh Allen
Lost replied to Warcodered's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely. Hope he does start being more aware of his diet. Don't want to see another sad Jamarcus Russel story. I know Josh has 10x the work ethic Jamarcus had but still...vices can sometimes catch up to you unexpectedly. -
Also was Beane implying in the presser that they may have resigned Levi had there never been a tentative agreement for McKissic?
-
Do you think his cryptic tweet is in reference to Deshaun Watson trade or Brandon Beane saying getting him a new contract isn't a priority? I love Diggs and hope he does get paid but I would hate to start having WR drama at OBD.

It's about as real as our Federal budget

Breaking: Von Miller to bills, 6 year , 120 million
Lost replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
We're paying Tremaine Edmunds 12.7 million per year to contribute almost nothing thus far. for a mere 4.9 million more we're adding one of the all time greats and someone who's going to help develop our younger talent. If Tremaine doesn't have his breakout 5th year we can finally cut ties and recoup some of that Miller money. If Tremaine does breakout this year then our D just got that much more frightening. Win/Win -

This deal is basically the same payout as Chandler Jones got from the Raiders...so everything seems on par as long as we have an out after 3 yrs. -

Bills’ situation, free agency and the desire to go “all in”
Lost replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just don't like the Bills philosophy of build for depth and rotation. I would rather over pay a genuine playmaker and take the risk that he'll stay healthy all year than have a 4 player depth chart of mediocrity for the same value. -

Reduce your percentages to a coin flip 50/50 against equally competitive teams and Bills have just a 6% chance of winning SB. So yeah, banking everything on one year doesn't sound wise in that scenario. -
De'Vondre Campbell was far more productive than Edmunds in 2021 so if we're making that comparison and paying for productivity, not some false hope of potential, then no. 3 yrs 28 would be best offer I would be okay with to extend him.

More time the offense spends on the field, the better the defense looks

Wouldn't have expected it, but according to ESPN, Michael Vick also had hand size measured just 8.5 inches. On the flip side Josh Allen has the second largest hands in the NFL next to Russel Wilson at 10.15 inches

When was this? How do I not remember this play?

Rodgers wants 50 million per year from the Packers per ESPN Dianna Russini
Lost replied to Greg S's topic in The Stadium Wall
Packers had no problem dumping Favre for Rodgers when they drafted him. Will probably be same scenario -
Walter Football Mock with the Hot Take on our MLB
Lost replied to Richard Noggin's topic in The Stadium Wall
Right. If Edmunds purpose in our defensive scheme is not to make impact plays but solely to prevent big gains in the middle of the field, he hasn't even done that very well this season. I'd like to find a stat on this somewhere but I remember watching at least two games this season where we have given up season long plays to opposing team players down the middle of the field. One was the Derrick Henry 76 yd TD run(his longest of season) and I think both Mahomes and Edwards-Helaire had season long runs against the Bills. I'm sure there are plenty of others. We could honestly probably throw Tyrel Dodson or Mario Addison out there for majority of snaps and not see much drop-off in play. -

So you're saying Edmunds is worth $12 million per year? This is my opinion, but aside from corner, MLB is our most pressing need on D. I'm good with drafting a CB. I'm good with drafting OL. Playing ILB in our defensive scheme is a lot more challenging and having someone who already is a proven playmaker and has experience is a huge bonus especially since most of our defensive draft picks in recent years haven't lived up to expectations. So yeah, I'm cool with trading Edmunds for a 2nd or 3rd round pick, picking up a mid tier UFA who will sign for less to replace him and perform better. It's quite possible other teams might over value him anyway just due to his athletic ability. -

For where he was drafted and his current contract, Edmunds is absolutely a bust. He could surely be a serviceable LB somewhere in the league but that's it. He's not worth more than $6-8 million a year with his current performance. I'd prefer the Bills trade him for a more dominant and developed MLB instead of drafting another prospect.
