  1. Starting to feel more and more like Edmunds or Poyer arent going to be around much longer.
  2. The deal isn't done though yet is it? Last I heard NY missed the Friday deadline for state budget with the Stadium funding being one of the contention points. I agree with all your points though. Even if there were a current owner willing to shell out 1-2 billion for a stadium, they wouldn't be doing it in WNY. They'd move the team first.
  3. I agree, this coaching staff is a little too focused on the DL rotation. Having said that I don't think there should be an over emphasis to draft a receiver in the first round. Of the top 10 receivers in the league last year, only 2 of them were first round draft picks, 1 was from 2nd, 4 were from 3rd and 3 from 5th. I absolutely want to add more young receivers to the team but I think the value there is in the middle rounds. I'm pretty content with Diggs, Davis, Crowder, McKenzie.
  4. I dunno man, after reviewing film of both Hamilton and Dax Hill, I see all the same qualities in Hill who also has a faster 40 time. He also appears to me to have a quicker first step than Hamilton when breaking towards the ball. I would be tickled to death if he falls to 25 and the Bills scoop him up. I think Hills stock will continue to rise on draft day while a lot of others will drop off some. Just my opinion though.
  5. Bills just offered what Chandler Jones got so it's likely another team would have ended up at that same amount.
  6. I have a hard time believing a poll that has 31% of Bills fans opposing funding of a new stadium
  7. I would occasionally watch games I wasn't particularly interested in just because John Madden was commenting.
  8. How they extrapolate "majority of NY voters" from a poll sample size of 812 is a bit of a stretch. The poll operator is clearly a Jets fan
  9. I personally feel like there is a lot more value to be gained by moving up in the 2nd/3rd as opposed to the 1st.
  10. I take Dax Hill and move him to corner. When he bulks up a little I transition him back to safety if/when Poyer/Hyde move on. He's an absolute ball hawk and freak athlete. I like his instinctiveness compared to McDufie. Also faster and more range.
  11. Can't please everybody...especially those in Seattle. Bills stadium is infrastructure...which is something both political parties generally agree on spending money on. Infrastructure = jobs and revenue for surrounding areas. Nobody would bat an eye if NY state quietly spent 800 million to build a new state of the art library or bus terminal. I'm typically and advocate for lower taxes because I really don't trust the government to spend my money in an efficient manner but as long as it's being spent, I'd rather it be used for something tangible, that has lasting returns.
  12. There probably is some biased or racist individuals rooted in the league somewhere, I mean we did see a lot of dirty stuff come out of in the past year but by and large I would say no. If you think forcing a racist owner to hire a minority candidate as head coach is going to cure him of being racist and lead to a blossoming relationship with his new head coach it wont. It's just going to make things worse. Perhaps the best solution would just be to have organizations just publicly disclose how many applicants they had for coaching positions and the racial makeup of the applicants and if the figures show they are displaying an obvious bias in their hiring practices they can face the public backlash which often leads to them either committing to changing their ways or resigning. At the end of the day, the most qualified candidate should get the position. In your hypothetical of two equally qualified candidates(one minority and one not) you can't really call it racial bias if the team hires the white person, it coulda came down to the GM just simply liking his personality better. When you look at the staffing of the team as a whole though, if a teams total coaching staff is 90% white and yet 50% of the applicants seeking position in the organization are minority then that would be a probable sign of bias happening.
  13. I don't know the actual numbers of minority applicants to the amount of positions hired so I can't really comment if there is some actual bias happening. I honestly don't know what the best solution is if that were actually the case either. It doesn't seem like being a decent human being and raising your kids to be decent human beings should be too difficult a thing to ask in our society.
  14. Unpopular opinion - Equity is racism. I support minority candidates getting more coaching positions but I don't like the idea of mandating such things as it could create an eventual artificial disparity amongst coaching staff in the league. I don't know the numbers here but what if only 5% of the potential applicants seeking coaching positions are minority in some instances? What if a team has no minority candidates currently seeking a position within their organization? In a few years we're could be looking at a situation where minority coaches are 40-50% of all coaching staff when maybe 10-15% of individuals seeking coaching positions are minority. I think its a better representation of the league and society in general to have the number of minority coaches actually representative of the percentage who are seeking position vs. a forced arbitrary number. if 60% of of applicants are minority then it makes much more sense for the coaching staff makeup to also be around 60% okay, flame away
  15. Regarding your thoughts. This was mentioned by PSE executive Ron Raccuia when asked by Chris Brown "We're going to build the best football stadium we possibly can for the Buffalo Bills and our fans. It will be state of the art and will have a great deal of modern amenities that we currently lack at Highmark Stadium. We do, however, want to maintain the intimacy, great sight lines and the amazing home field advantage and energy we currently have at Highmark Stadium. It will be a football specific stadium and we want to take advantage of all of the modern amenities, comfort, and technology available to us as we develop our plan with the architects."
  16. Can someone explain PSLs to me? Is it just season tickets or something else? What's the difference?
  17. I love everything about Diggs, his skill set, his relationship with JA and the team but this is probably the correct take. I'd be open to the possibility of resigning him for close to the 20 mil range(which i doubt he would go for) if the Bills don't resign Edmunds. I dont think we can afford both players next year nor do I think its good to have 80% of your cap tied up in a handful of players
  18. Chiefs got the ultimate return on investment with Tyreek Hill. Himself being drafted in the 5th round, 165th overall pick has helped carry the Chiefs to 6 Division titles, 2 Conference championships, a Super Bowl win and now being converted to 5 draft picks. Unbelievable value. I can only hope the Bills strike gold that deep in the draft one of these years.
  19. How is Miami's Oline? Hope with Von on our team we have enough pressure to neutralize at WR duo like that.
  20. Think every team is expecting the big salary cap balloon in the next couple years and paying in advance. Pretty wise actually.
  21. Was just about to post this. I really like the looks of this guy from his highlights. Some draft boards have him going as low as mid 3rd round. I think he's an absolute steal at that level. I'd be happy to get him in the 2nd.
  22. Do they ask him not to shed blockers on run plays?
