Yep. I was initially upset with Josh after that game but just recently re-watching it I noticed he was actually one of the bright spots that day. He tried to carry the team despite the O-line getting blown up literally every single play.

Sounds like Steff just wants the ball and have more of the offense schemed around him. I know he feels like he can/needs to help carry the team at times but I think that kinda led to Josh forcing some throws last year as well instead of taking the easier targets. I do think Dorsey should take some criticism though because there should be ways to scheme Stef open more.

The contrarian in me would say that one of the leaders on the team not being there to help coach up and mentor all the young talent is more of a detriment than whatever extra snaps those players get at practice.

Agreed. I remember when the game was played live I was slightly disappointed with Allen along with the rest of the team, but after re-watching the game just last week my opinion has changed. Allen played about as well as he could have. Both the OL and DL were complete dumpster fires and getting blown up the whole game. We definitely got out-schemed defensively as well. Some other notable players who actually showed up for that game were Matt Milano, Dane Jackson Khalil Shakir and Beasley.

Randy moss had his most productive year of his career when he signed with the Patriots at age 30. He still played at an elite level until he retired at 34. Jerry Rice was having productive seasons up until he was 40.
