  1. It feels less certain this season. The last game of last season certainly left an awful taste and possibly some questions as to what kind of team it will be moving forward. Not much has changed talent wise. Still talented and should be explosive offensively. Way more apprehension defensively than offensively. A convincing win tonight helps with the uncertainty although it is only one game to a long season.
  2. It is probably better to take that approach. If they underperform then it is not such a letdown and if they perform as well as they should then it is a pleasant surprise. At the end of the day, it is only a football game and how they perform either way is out of anyone's control other than who is actually on the field playing.
  3. Possibly, on paper. No games have been played yet. Judging by the games played last year and years previous, Miami has closed the gap. That is really all anyone can logically go on until the games are played this year.
  4. Yes, they are a formidable opponent and are capable of beating the Bills. Last season all three games were highly competitive, it would be foolish to not observe that Miami has gotten considerably better as of late. That being said, squish the fish!
  5. True, but the point is that he is a defensive minded coach, and they won a lot. Would the Bills be as good as they are without Allen, highly doubtful. The Bills can win with a defensive minded coach and a superstar QB the same as the Patriots once did.
  6. It is a make-or-break year for Davis. I have mentioned this before, but Moulds had the same issues years 1 and 2. However, he turned the corner in year 3 and became the receiver everyone had hoped for. If the Bills are lucky maybe history repeats.
  7. Bill Belichick has a pretty good resume last I checked. Hate to mention the name and his success but facts are facts.
  8. The Redskins should change their name back to The Redskins. Either way, that is what they will be called by this guy.
  9. This is a good thing. Hopefully it happens throughout the media. More motivation can be achieved through other people's doubts.
  10. 10-11 wins seems about right. AFCE is no joke. No easy wins.
  11. The Jets just got a lot better. The division is going to be tough.
  12. Winners like to win, anything else is unacceptable. If Diggs did not care, it would be a far worse scenario. The Bills have two winners in Allen and Diggs. A Championship puts its all to rest. They will get there. Likely, more than once.
  13. Not making any projections, but Buffalo had a receiver by the name of Eric Moulds who dropped a lot of passes his first few seasons. He was considered a disappointment. However, around season four, Moulds became one of the better receivers in the league. He ended up having a productive career in Buffalo. Possibly, Davis has the same upside and just needs a little more time. He has talent and has shown flashes. Maybe, year four it clicks.
  14. Very level-headed and well stated post. As a lifelong Bills fan, I agree with all points. Not in the burn it all down camp. It was a really bad game at a really bad time. It was a real head scratcher as to why they did not run the ball. They have a talented back in Cook and Motor is a hard runner. It seems to me that it would have occurred to the OC to slow down the game a bit and run the ball. Maybe it was the O-line play being bad...who knows there was not enough run attempts to gage it. The Ravens used the running game the week before to keep them honest, seems the Bills would have taken notice. Too much pressure on Allen. Reminds me of the Marino days with Miami. The pass rush was non-existent for the most part and they did indeed look to be spent from the start.
  15. One of the greatest hires in the history of the Bills. Great head coach!
  16. Very smart play. Team over self, play. It gave the dolphins no shot (0%) chance of having a fluke play for the win.
  17. No. They are a very good team.
  18. Beasley knows the offense and is a reliable target. He finds the opening and makes big catches. Hated to see him go and glad he is back. The chemistry is already there, and this can potentially be just the extra spark the O needs. It is a solid move.
  19. Solid move, glad to see him back in Buffalo. Proven player and is always a reliable safety valve for Allen.
  20. It is a big loss. Now teams do not have to plan for him. Just having him there as a threat to make a play is worth its weight. Someone will have to step up and fill the void. The pass rush overall has taken a hit.
  21. There were red flags with this guy, big ego usually does not translate well for athletes. It is quite amazing that out of the 5 quarterbacks' taken in the first round, Allen, who I did not want at the time, turned out to be the winning lottery ticket. It did not take long to be on board with Allen, his attitude and work ethnic resonated with me personally. Looking at this makes one feel exceptionally lucky and grateful for the intuition of the Bills front office and coaching staff. We were waaaay overdue to get one right!
  22. I like this look. Uniform color does not decide the outcome of a game, good or bad.
  23. Everyone is intitled to their opinion. It feels like flogging a dead horse, but those who were around for the Jauron days and some of the years surrounding those can remember what a bad roster looked like. Incompetence and disarray were commonplace. This roster and coaching staff would have been a wet dream back then. They are hurting with injuries but outside of that I cannot muster much to complain about.
  24. Seems like maybe it was a bad route more than anything else. He threw to a spot.
