The Offensive Line: Better Than Advertised?
Commander replied to Rob's House's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was happy to see Urbik is staying. Prior to last year, Urbik had three solid seasons at RG. According to Pro Football Focus, his rankings among all qualifying OG were 20 of 78 (2011), 25 of 81 (2012) and 20 of 81 (2013). I'd be happy with those kind of results from any of our offensive linemen. -

All Things Incognito (Richie returns, signs contract)

JJ Watt is going to think twice about slamming into our quarterback's knees with RI on the other side of the line. -
All Things Incognito (Richie returns, signs contract)
Commander replied to RalphOP83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember Eric Wood discussing this a couple years ago. He seemed to get along fine with Incognito. I think Eric will be key to keeping him in line. I also think Aaron Kromer will get him back to form in no time. -
I'm a retired Naval officer living in Virginia Beach and bought season tickets last year because I couldn't believe how inexpensive they were. Twelve rows upper deck, 30 yard line and it only cost $1200 for two season tickets. Went to every game and loved it. A modest price increase didn't deter me at all from renewing for this year.

Don't be surprised if the Bills make a run a center/guard Brian De La Puente when free agency starts. Aaron Kromer is extremely high on him, and the feeling is mutual by De La Puente. Below is a good read on him and Kromer: http://www.chicagobears.com/news/article-1/Saints-linemen-Bears-lucky-to-have-Aaron-Kromer/1bcdbd5b-3a3d-4189-94b5-f2babae8956b He's been one of the best bang for the buck offensive lineman in the NFL the last four seasons. Watching how he came in and performed at a high level against the Bills when the Bears starting center (Roberto Garza) got injured convinced me last year. Pro Football Focus predicted he would be the Bears "Secret Superstar" last year (they also predicted Nigel Bradham for the Bills). https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2014/05/20/secret-superstars-2014-chicago-bears/ In my opinion, he probably wouldn't cost a lot against the cap and would be a much better value than anybody on the Bills interior.

Check out this workout video of Chris Hogan, posted by DeFranco's Gym in New Jersey. This guy is an unbelievable athlete who's really smart as well. Can't imagine where he'd be right now if he'd played DIV 1 football at Penn State instead of lacrosse. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPGhhs-yy7I Here's one showing his 40 yard dash:

I have to admit, I've been immensely impressed at the leadership EJ has shown this offseason. I did a search to see which other young quarterbacks organized workouts with their receivers during the offseason. I couldn't find anything on Geno Smith or Mike Glennon. RG3 set up sessions with Pierre Garcon: http://profootballta...kouts-together/ Andrew Luck worked out with some of his receivers in Miami, but it appeared to be more conditioning than anything else: http://www.procanes....6dd5-12498.html Not surprisingly, I came across an article on the sessions Russell Wilson set up with his receivers in Southern California this month. These seemed to be the closest to what EJ organized: http://blog.seattlep...-in-california/

EJ knee surgery, Tim Graham questions, draft QB?
Commander replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's one way to settle whether Tim Graham was embellishing E.J. Manuel's "dripping with sarcasm" response: Post the video and let the fans decide. -

Give me your take on Brian Brohm #4
Commander replied to Another Point of View's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just watched the replay on NFL Network and have come to the conclusion that Brohm got absolutely screwed by incompetent receivers like JP Foschi and Donald Jones (not to mention a sieve of an offensive line). Three passes were right in the chest of Foschi-Jones and dropped (or bounced up in the air for an interception). On another play, Brohm escapes the pressure, rolls to his left and puts it right on the money to Jones 25 yards down field on the left sideline. Instead of coming back for the ball, Jones stands there and lets the defender come over his back to knock it away. Three of those four plays killed drives. If there is any justice, Brohm will be the #3, Brown will clear waivers and go to the PS. -
Here's how our QB's stack up: Name Wonderlic Starts Completion Percentage Ryan Fitzpatrick 48 28 60 Trent Edwards 31 31 56.3 Brian Brohm 32 33 65.8 Levi Brown 28 24 61.2 The only ones who didn't meet the criteria was Trent (completion %) and Levi (starts). However, Levi Brown played in many more games than he started.

WECK 1230 AM not doing an announcer draft right now
Commander replied to NickMendola's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nick, I live in Virginia Beach and have to listen over the internet. No offense, but how are we supposed to tell you are going to be on based on your "Programming" web page? I don't see you listed there anywhere. I would much rather listen to Bills talk than some of the drivel on WGR, but throw me a bone here! -

Good McShay article on the Draft
Commander replied to BeastMode54's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Todd McShay has ZERO credibility with me. He had Aaron Maybin ranked in the Top 5 players overall and said he was the pick of the draft in 2009. This only confirms that we shouldn't take a nano-second to pick Jimmy Claussen if he falls to us at #9. -
If Rush was buying our Bills instead of the Rams...
Commander replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The "Rams players" who are supposedly upset about Rush potentially buying the team are probably the same overpaid stiffs who realize Rush wouldn't tolerate losers on his team. -
This guy had a fantastic camp at CB and I would trust him as a KR more than Roscoe. Wish I could post a video of his highlights, but the only video I could find was the remix some idiot made where he stutters at a press conference. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...e0-22dd584383c6
