At this point what is the actual "possibility" that Saquon Barkley ever performs at an elite level?

Yet I don't think they learned from the partying the week leading up to Super Bowl because if I'm not mistaken there was also an incident with some famous persons bodyguard and some of the Buffalo Bills at a night club the week leading up to Super Bowl XXVIII. The arrogance and over confidence before Super Bowl XXV was crazy. I remember Bruce Smith making these two quotes "we'd rather play San-Francisco because we want to play the best team" and "Lawrence Taylor needs to know that he isn't Super Man anymore, that's me" it was insane. Then Bruce Smith railing about not being named defensive player of the year in the weeks after the loss. In regard to 13 seconds I do agree that was a complete coaching meltdown and needs to be addressed by the staff but I don't think we need to "blow" up the coaching staff because of it. Need to learn from it and get better. Unlike the "music city nightmare" or "wide right" the FG by KC didn't end the game. We still had OT. We still had our defence out there and we lost.

Take a look at the reactions after losing Super Bowl XXV, not just directly after the game but also in the weeks following. Do you remember them? Bruce Smith railed about not being defensive player of the year while Thurman Thomas railed about how it wasn't fair that he wasn't MVP of Super Bowl XXV. Jim Kelly probably handled it better than the rest but it still seemed like it was a funeral with the guy in talking about it. With Josh Allen it's been positive. It's about moving forward. Not a knock of those teams from the 90s because we loved those teams and they were great but we didn't have that with them. It always seemed as if there was this cloud they were lost in with moving forward. The coaching calls at the end of the game during the last 13 seconds weren't the best but it's not in the same category as "wide right" or "music city nightmare" and the calls for blowing up the coaching staff are ridiculous. It's panic and it's the type of panic we saw years ago with that giants team when they decided to get their fire OC and QB coaches and bring in a guy that completely changed their two time Super Bowl winning QB mechanic from the ground up and ruined that QB. It's the panic we saw with Wade Phillips starting Rob Johnson over Doug Flutie. It's the panic that got Rex Ryan hired over here. McD has shown that he learns from his mistakes and he will from this one.

Deciding not to get another quick play off to get a little bit closer before Scott Norwood attempts the FG was frustrating as was the fact that NY Giants were literally daring us to run and we only ran Thurman Thomas 16 times in that game. In the words of Joe Gibbs on that game "the way Thurman Thomas was running that day I'd have kept handing that ball off to him till the giants changed their defensive scheme or Thurman Thomas tongue fell out his mouth"

Once again I'm going to disagree with this type of assessment. If KC had lost, the crux of focus from their fanbase would've been on the missed FG and giving up the winning score with 1:09 left to play, etc......etc........Heck, look at how they've reacted to the loss to Cincy. Patrick Mahomes still had to m make those throws and their FG kicker still had to make a 50 yarder to send it to OT. This is a tough loss but it's not one of those "wide right" or "music city nightmare" losses. Josh Allen reaction to this loss has been stellar and that's not something we've previously seen from our previous playoff teams. Thats great.

Love the way Josh didn't even wait for the question and just addressed the game right at the start. This young man is amazing, as a player and as a leader. The way he owns what he does and leads this team is inspiring.

I'd like them to address the secondary as well as LB and after that of course, OLine. I also think we should make trade for player that can help us because we have a lot of draft picks. We can trade to move up or for an already established player.

For me, its hard to predict sometimes when there is a two week preparation win dow for the game as we have with Super Bowl. However I do think we have a great chance to beat LA Rams if we were the ones playing in Super Bowl. I will be rooting for Cincinnati Bengals to win but I think they're going to lose. I don't think their Line is going to hold up and I also think that they will have trouble stopping Odell Beckham Jr. and Cooper Cupp. Those two WR are tailor made for Matt Stafford style of play.

Could've handled it better and simply stated "came to a parting of the ways and its worked out for me" or words to that effect. Nevertheless although slightly whiney doesn't really come off malicious.

Hmmmmmmmmm........perhaps Bill Belichek just pro actively congratulated the person he as well as most other people took to be the most qualified candidate 🤷‍♂️ Perhaps the text was based on Bill probably knowing how Mara works 🤷‍♂️ Unless Bill Belichek states along the lines of "Mr. Mara told me directly who he was hiring before the process was done" or words to that effect than this will be. a non issue from Bill Belichek. What Bill Belichek should immediately do is never have anything to do with Brian Flores ever again.

This team is different than the other playoff Buffalo Bills teams. There was no self “victimization” on any level that was out there by this team post game and that big. Josh Allen post game comments show a lot about him and I think that when we meet KC next year in playoffs that we crush them. Don’t even think it’s gonna be close. I think we’ll be way more aggressive on D as well. The overreactions to this loss are understandable but aren’t accurate. The reactions are in large part because of the relationship and love this fan base has with Buffalo Bills.

Way over reacting. Our D came up short. It happens. This was not some type of a “curse” or “meltdown” or “choke” or some other such thing. This was an incredible game that wasn’t going to be decided in regulation till “zero” on the clock or OT. Unfortunately we lost the coin toss. We will learn and be better.

Couple reasons why I don’t want Saquon Barkley on Buffalo Bills is that he’s adverse to blocking and he’s not a drop the head grind guy. Sure. The guy is strong and fast with great size but doesn’t play up to his size, in my opinion. The guy is also injury prone. Perhaps the injury problems are linked to the way he works out and that can be fixed but being adverse to blocking are an issue. I didn’t understand how NY Giants choose him 2nd overall.

Each and every Super Bowl Marv was out coached but he was our coach and we never turned our backs on him. There isn’t a perfect coach out there. I remember Joe Gibbs bringing up after the loss to the NY Giants that the way they were daring us to run and how great Thurman Thomas was running in that game how he didn’t grasp why Marv only ran him 16 times and that he would’ve ran Thurman till the giants D we’re either forced to change their scheme or Thurman tongue fell out of his mouth. I also remember that we had enough time where we could’ve ran another quick play to gain a few yards before lining up for that field goal that Scott Norwood missed. Against the Washington Redskins was it really a shock that they came out in the hurry up against us? Was it really a shock that Joe Gibbs coached his D to pressure Jim Kelly as much as they could? Marv sure seemed shocked. The 4th and goal against Dallas Cowboys when Ken Norton jr. just grabs Kenneth Davis by the face mask and goes horizontal with him literally half the length of the goal line to stop him from getting the td and Marv doesn’t throw a fit? It’s was the most blatant face mask in the history of Super Bowl that wasn’t called that changed the course of the game at that point. That’s was one that Marv should’ve went crazy on. The 2nd Super Bowl against Dallas Cowboys we were the most tired team in NFL. We’d played more games during that 4 year span than any other team and yet Marv didn’t think to rotate all these young players in and out to change it up and let our starters get little rest here and there? Those young players were huge during the season and playoffs to get us there and were virtually abandoned when that Super Bowl Game was played. When Thurman Thomas refused to get back in the game why the heck didn’t Marv go over there to tell him “let it go it’s a tie game now and we can’t win without you so go back in now” Big time out coached. Huge. But without Marv we don’t go to 4 Super Bowls. We don’t have the team we had. Also some perspective is that Andy Reid was regard as a perennial playoff choker for years and now look at what he’s done. The point I’m making is that without McD and the work he’s done building this team we are probably not even sniffing playoffs right now. We don’t turn our back on him because we lost. This wasn’t a “music city miracle” debacle. This wasn’t “wide right” what this game happened to be is a game for the ages that we lost. Both teams made the plays when they needed and KC happened to win the coin toss and our D came up short. Are there some mistakes? Of course there were. From both teams. If KC had lost their fans would be screaming at missed FG and their D giving up the lead in 4th quarter with 1:09 left in the game. They have a stout D as well that Josh dissected. The reaction from our players after this game tells a lotparticularly from Josh Allen and it’s way different than some of our past playoff teams. Josh is taking accountability and the rest of the team is and I’m optimistic going forward.

These type of threads are amazing. Yesterday was literally one of the greatest divisional playoff games in NFL history and we came up a little short. It happens. Disappointed we didn’t win? Sure. Wanting to blow up the coaching and team? Ridiculous. If we’d have won there would’ve been a ton of KC fans griping about how KC blew it after they gave the ball back with 1:09 left. I’m sure there’s a bunch on here that remember our first SuperBowl and some of the reactions from the leaders of the team afterward when they were asked about the loss. Jim Kelly: “to lose like that is something I can’t understand” Thurman Thomas: “I should’ve been MVP” Bruce Smith “I should be defensive player of the year” etc………etc……..we love those players. They’re great players. But their comments showed a lot. After yesterdays loss this is what Josh Allen had to state when asked about OT rules: “the rules are the rules and we would be celebrating if we won we didn’t make enough plays” that tells us the quality of leader we have under center of Buffalo Bills. The guy is a stud. A Leader. A Real Leader. I’m optimistic going forward and the journey this Buffalo Bills team is going to take us on as Josh Allen and the rest of the organization work to bring that SuperBowl Championship Trophy to Buffalo. So appreciative of the players and coaching staff right now.
