    Where does it end? At what point? If you were a confidant to Lamar and the team offered him $1 BILLION, you would advise him to not take it if he doesn’t feel that way? Not sure I understand this world where wise decisions are made on how we feel.

    For me, the line of selfishness is when you can’t see that the contract you want will negatively impact your teams chances of competing for a Super Bowl. Turning down almost $300 Million? Oofta. I’m glad we have Allen.

    This is a great thread by a PFF data scientist talking about how Allen took the short passes when the Rams dropped people back, and took the long pass the instant that they pulled them forward. There was nothing they could do. Allen was reading the field at an elite level.

    Did you know that Einstein was often mocked early on because people found his thoughts and theories to be inane? It turned out that his theories were correct, of course, but the lesser intellectually gifted couldn’t interpret it until much time had passed.

    With how good Benford looks, and with Elam’s contributions coming partially on special teams tonight, it leads the mind to wonder what other 1st round pick we could have acquired rather than a DB that is a depth player in a backfield that is missing it’s starter.

    McD called timeout for THAT. Always disliked his timeouts before “big” plays.

    I hope McD moves away from allowing open field just short of the sticks on 3rd down. That was the difference maker in that drive.
