Oh are you thinking that Terry would own the land/stadium? Where did you park? . -

We can agree to disagree. For those interested, maybe i’ll create a thread sometime with pics of my road trip. It was a great time. I purchased a conversion van with all of the amenities and drove from New York to California, and back. Stopping at every NFL city / stadium along the way. . How does a downtown stadium give Terry what he needs, in your estimation? -

I do not have an agenda. I was pro-Downtown stadium for many years until I went on a nationwide tour of stadiums in the NFL. After seeing so many and all different options and ideas and the impact location had on each… That’s what changed my mind. The #1 reason proponents like the location of the Titans stadium is the closeness to Broadway and bars. With the Titans often having as many away fans as home fans, that’s a big plus. Tourists like to hit the bar before and after. Locals want to go home. -

I have. While I don’t think it’s lame, I do think it’s substandard for locals. Nashville’s stadium situation is fantastic for tourists though. -
I love to learn and i’m always open to being incorrect and correcting myself. Which is why I asked, and ask again, can you cite somewhere in the rule book that describes an uncatchable pass in the same manner that you do?
-
Yes. I listed them.
-
Do you have any citation in the rule book to back this up?

Ahh, yes, I don’t have much experience with Hammers lot. I can see it being difficult to navigate out of there. I try to park on California. Very easy out. -
Perhaps that is the distinction. Ball in air. I don’t recall when he threw it. Edit; But then again, PI is not called when first contact is made. PI - by rule - can only be called when the receivers ability to catch the ball is significantly hindered. At the 5 yard line, the ball is uncatchable at that point. .

I can get out of OP and onto the interstate in about 15 to 25 minutes. it’s really not bad at all. Nashville is far worse. Carolina is bad too. Miami is bad but better that both. -

I suppose I can only say that your experience varies quite differently to the thousands who post on the Titans forum. As with everything in life, perspective is everything. -

I’m not so certain that the Diggs spot was correct. While the defender did indeed make first made contact with Diggs at the 5 yard line, the ball was no where near Diggs at this time. Because the ball was no where within Diggs reasonable catch radius, the call would have had to be illegal contact if they believe the foul occurred at the 5 yard line. This is where the “not catchable” rule comes into play for PI. For pass interference to be eligible, the defender must hinder the receivers ability to physically catch the pass (section 5, article 1). The defender physically hindered Diggs ability to catch pass in the endzone, and therefore if PI is to be called, the ball should be placed at the 1. There is no spot penalty for illegal contact - it’s only 5 yards and a first down.

This has been happening all year long, across the entire NFL. New York is communicating with the on-field referee crew in live-time to fix obvious mistakes and reduce the need for coaches challenges. This is made possible by a new rule that was approved during the 2021 offseason. This rule allows the replay official to change (in live-time), the spot of the ball, complete/incomplete/int passes, line to gain, etc. The NFL replay official has until 20 seconds on the next plays play-clock to change something. That’s why coaches should *not* throw a challenge flag until there is LESS than 20 seconds on the play clock. Otherwise they could be wasting a challenge. I also have no idea why Diggs PI was placed at the 5 yard line. .

Since i’m not paying for it and therefore money is no option, I want an LA-type stadium. Meaning, it has a roof but both sides of the endzone are open. This blocks rain and some wind (and in Buffalo, snow) but allows for an outdoor feel. It’ll never happen, but that would be my dream. -

This feels like a bit of “the grass is greener on the other side”. I say that because Titan fans hate their stadium being downtown. It is a consistent gripe on the Titans message board. Among other things, parking sucks and traffic leaving the stadium is horrendous. You likely didn’t have to deal with it because you’re a tourist and can simply walk back to the hotel. Locals don’t want to walk back to a hotel or a bar after the game. They want to go home. They’re currently trying to pass legislation that will add another 100+ acres to the stadium complex which would include more parking, hotels, etc to make the stadium more viable. Summary: The Titan experience is nice for tourists, bad for locals. And Buffalo isn’t exactly a top tourist attraction. -
Thursday nite football: Broncos at Browns

Does the NFL try to make these TNF matchups as unappealing as possible? -
Yes.

And one of them was one of the worst INT’s i’ve seen in some time. There was not a receiver anywhere in the vicinity. The Ravens won that game because of a strong defensive performance (4 turnovers) along with running the ball.
-
I agree. We will not find common ground on this and there is no point in further discussion.
-
Would you like to further excuse this?
-
I saw the game. He was not good. This was one of the worst INT’s i’ve seen in some time.
