  1. The mini helmet shadow box is great! Donyou leave the helmet out or do you have it in a display case? Mine just sits out but I bet it would look great all lit up.
  2. I really like that!
  3. If you’re serious, i’d really like to see it.
  4. Thank you. And you're right. The projector puts out so much heat that when it's on, the fans you see mounted on the side of the box have to turn on and pull the heat out or the projector will overheat and turn off. The warming probe and heating cable is for when the projector is off (I never bring it inside as it's 100+ pounds with all the equipment). Here is a video of part of the show. It’ll be better this year, since I’ll be putting reflective material on the house that shows the colors much better. You can see in the video how the colors get washed out when it’s projected on the windows. That won’t happen this year, so the show should be much better and more vivid. This video was actually taken before I worked out some of the issues.
  5. That's a good guess but its actually a make-shift temperature probe for a warming cable. When the copper reaches 38 degrees, the sensor triggers the warming cable looped on the lid of the box to turn on. When the copper reaches 50 degrees, it turns back off.
  6. With a gigantic projector of course! The smaller/regular ones don't have the lumens to accomplish the job. This is a large venue projector. Christie DHD775-E with a short throw lens. I created the box and assembled all the wiring. The box, insulation, fans, and warming cables are important - its a delicate act between keeping the enclosure warm enough so that nothing freezes, but not too warm so that anything starts to malfunction. In general, electronics typically like cold more than warmth. You can watch games on the house too. Here is when we bashed the Saints into the dirt last year (after Knox scored):
  7. Thought this could be a fun thread to show off the Bills stuff you've collected over the years and other cool Bills stuff you do. I'll start. Random memorabilia including Flutie Flakes, a game-worn John Brown jersey, and a signed Jim Kelly helmet. Not pictured: Signed Josh Allen jersey. And these are my holiday decorations (sometimes people stop by and take photos in front of the giant Go Bills sign). If you have seen the sign, feel free to post your pic from it! I'd realllyyyy like to add a giant lombardi trophy next to it. There are other Bills fans on my street and I love seeing their decorations too. Person for scale: Your turn. I look forward to seeing your collection! Go Bills.
  8. Great thought. A lot of "covered" seats are likely suites/indoor areas/areas that have overhangs that are not the structural top overhang. I thought it was pretty cool, personally. Reminds me a lot of the Rams stadium, which I love and is considered the best stadium in the NFL.
  9. I think you'll grow to love it as Allen adds a few Championship banners to the rafters. The Titans stadium does look pretty sweet. It's like a colder-area version of the Rams stadium. I would have loved to have that in Buffalo but its also half a billion more. Pegula did tell us that we need an economical stadium.
  10. I wish Allen was riding one of the Buffalo's.
  11. Love the new stadium renderings. Two thoughts: 1) Wish the roof covered a bit more of the seats. But still nice to have some covering. 2) Love that they put snow/ice in the rendering instead of a sunny summer day background.
  12. In my opinion the aura of the Bills in the early 90’s was greater than it is now. Pre-internet football felt a bit more magical than it is now. My hypothesis is that social media has given us such instant close-up access to the team like never before, at the consequence of there now being little to no mystery. I miss the excitement of waking up and watching ESPN and all the pre-game shows that came on before the game started and hearing all the injuries, inactives, news, and even 1 on 1 player interviews. All those same things exist, but they’re now spread out along the previous 6 days because of the internet. Less magical and a lot of it gets lost in the noise.
  13. You go about life thinking that if someone has an opinion that is “so bad” (which is just another way to say that it is different than what you think), then you should insult that person? Those numbers made him the 22nd paid safety in contract value. It’s actually not. Not even for his age. Harrison Smith at 32 y/on has a larger contract. So does Tyrann Matthieu, and Quandre Diggs, and Jimmy Ward, etc. No it’s not. On a 2 year deal there is no way to avoid dead money other than making him a post June cut - which perhaps they will do. Then his dead money will reduce to $3.5M and we will save $7.5M. Because none of these players have 2 year deals. Do you understand how the cap works and spreading cap hits over years? Something can’t be punitive when it saves you money. It’s not a situation where the dead cap is $7M and they save $2M, so they are in the negative. As it stands, they are POSITIVE $4M. If they make him a post June cut, that positive increases to $7.5M.
  14. Offer stands https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/243157-how-valuable-is-hyde-really/?do=findComment&comment=7986865
  15. And we should see him differently? We should be the lone team that gives up a rookie contract for the 32 year old safety with 1 year left on his deal? Im not so sure. I’m trying to see this from both sides and my opinion could certainly change as the season progresses but as of now…
  16. I think you missed the context of the point. They are not just “disagreeing”. They are insulting, questioning fanhood, mocking intelligence and more. Its actually groupthink combined with pack behavior.
  17. Yep. Beane is surely thinking about this, even if fans don’t want to. In fact I think he was thinking about it when he gave Hyde only a 2 year extension with an out after the 1st year.
  18. If that is the case (and i’m not saying you’re wrong), then how valuable is he really? How valuable is a player that 31 NFL teams would not trade even a 7th rounder for him? How valuable is a player that 31 NFL teams would rather draft a guy they will likely cut, than trade for him?
  19. Yes. And their answers are the right answers. All other answers should be disregarded and the discussion closed. Why keep talking if you already got an “answer” from those that matter? etc
  20. I would not Uber to the game, personally. Unless you want to be dropped off a mile from the stadium and walk the rest. All traffic within a mile of the stadium gets very congested. Photo I took of the traffic going to the game a few weeks ago:
  21. If that’s the case, then how much do you value Hyde over a replacement?
  22. Classic response of groupthink.
