  1. To me, that’s kinda the point. The fact that he was just rambling freely indicates that this is how he truly feels.
  2. Nothing to apologize for. Personally I prefer new threads over bumping old threads. I was linking it so people can know what names are available. I’d be fine with Wylie. Or Turner. i’d be shocked if Beane isn’t eyeing him. I dream about getting Powers though.
  3. Just posting this thread because it has potential options to fill those holes you mention:
  4. I know that’s been your opinion based on scheme but the footage tells a different story. KC’s general manager also alluded to him thinking that Beane wanted McDuffie.
  5. Based on the behind-the-scenes footage the team released and the looks on the faces of Beane & Gray when KC moved up and drafted McDuffie, I think Elam was a panic pick after KC took their guy.
  6. Interesting. That comment about HC's playing a huge part in offensive scheme and Jefferson's HC being an "offensive guy" gives an inside look into how Digg's may view things here.
  7. Are you possibly thinking of another player? This was Gabe’s 2020 playoffs: vs Ind: 4 rec vs Bal: 0 rec @ KC: 0 rec
  8. So being the only option means you just automatically get open and catch TD’s? This thinking seems backwards to me. If he is the only option, then wouldn’t defenses pay more attention to him and make it more difficult on him? Or did they simply decide to not cover the only option they have?
  9. Yep. And people may have forgotten but early that season McKenzie had a 3 TD game. Daboll was just really good at scheming guys open.
  10. Davis plays 1 tech, so it makes sense that he doesn’t make game changing plays. He is clogging lanes. Oliver doesn’t have that excuse. He has had plenty of time at 3T.
  11. You’re right about Jurgens. I guess I just feel that he is going to be great, but you’re right that I can’t prove it yet. As for Davis… think about that. He had a higher grade in his first season than Ed Oliver had in his 4th.
  12. He is gonna be Kelce’s replacement. PFF had him as one of the best rookies in the NFL from his preseason tape. Davis had a great season. And the only reason Jurgens isn’t playing is because he is Kelce’s replacement and the Eagles have an all-pro line. Dean will be starting next year. https://www.si.com/college/georgia/.amp/news/jordan-davis-highest-rated-dl-nfl-philadelphia-eagles
  13. Well, yeah... Roseman traded up to get an elite player. We are allowed to do that too. 100% agreed.
  14. Veach in KC too... Nick Bolton, Creed Humphrey, Trey Smith, Trent McDuffie (who I think the Bills wanted), Karlaftis, and Pacheco (who is turning into a stud). All in he last 2 drafts. The two Super Bowl participants this year put on a clinic in the last 2 drafts. We.... well we drafted a player who we admitted was our last 1st round grade and then healthy scratched him at times and generally admitted we didnt know what to do with him.
  15. Yes! It was a thing of beauty watching that Philly o-line blow KC off the ball, play after play. By the time the 4th quarter rolled round you could almost see KC's d-line get dejected when it got to 4th and 1 because they knew there was nothing hey could do stop them from converting.
  16. No argument that Howie has his mistakes too. I even mentioned it in the post you quoted. But his sheer volume of great decisions outweigh his poor decisions. You could make an arguemnt that he has drafted more high-end plyers in the last 2 drafts than Beane has in all 5 combined (minus Josh Allen). Devonta Smith, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Jordan Davis, etc. All in the last 2 drafts. And he has Nakobe Dean waiting in the wings for when his defense leaves in FA (as you mentioned).
  17. Id be looking at the team who won a Super Bowl, fired their coach, re-tooled the entire roster, then went to another Super Bowl. Howie Roseman. Elite. Didnt he have a quote a few years ago about the draft not being that hard too? Im sure he has some misses too.
  18. Yes. Consulted them. The elite talent evaluators are clear. Look to the top.
  19. Same can be said for humans!
  20. There was only 8 seconds left when the Chiefs snapped the ball at the 39 yard line. A pooch kick that brings the clock down to 7 or 8 seconds likely ended up aroudn the 35 anyway. So it basically didnt matter. The defense was just really bad.
  21. In my opinion it is. This is likely where our differences arise. I am the head of a company and when I do performance evaluation reports, I do not compare my employees to their peers or even competition. I compare it to my standard, which is the elite companies of the world. The NFL is littered with terrible talent evaluators and bad teams. About 70% of the teams in the league ranges between 3 and 9 wins per season. Over 50% of their draft picks are busts. Comparing Beane to other lackluster evaluators doesn't encourage me. That's not how statistical sampling works though. The Bills are not picking near all of the 250+ picks and not all picks are in the same round or grade. The sample size would be more like 10. The 10 picks after the Bills pick - because those are the players likely in consideration for the pick the Bills are in. The Bills wouldnt be considered a 5th round graded player in the 1st. For example, in the 10-block segment for where Beane selected Ed Oliver, there was: Brian Burns Jonah Williams Rashan Gary Dexter Lawrence Jeffrey Simmons Christian Wilkins Chris Lindstrom Garrett Braderry Dwayne Haskins. In this 10-block sample, Beane had a pretty good chance of selecting a difference making player. The players in bold are all-pro's or pro bowlers, and Christian Wilkins SHOULD have been a pro-bowler. He was snubbed, ala Josh Allen last season. "a very small number of players in a draft that has selected 250+" turns into "half of the players in the picks after Ed Oliver was taken turned out to be very good players". And that stings a bit more.
  22. Every post on this forum - including yours that im quoting - is biased. We all have our preconceived thoughts and opinions that bias our responses. To be biased is to be human. Its often those who think they are objective are the ones most bias. You realize that there is a difference between sharing your opinion, and disparaging a person? right? You can disagree with posters without being rude. In general, you tend to crap on anyone's posts (oftentimes mine) if it is even remotely negative. I assume it grows tiresome for you to have to do that, so by all means please ignore my username so you don't have to be subjected to these topics anymore. It must weigh heavy on your shoulders to have to go around doling out judgement to posters for "utterly wasteful" threads. Not after only 4 years. If you don't have a guy after only 4 years, then they are likely a bust. The only person this could even remotely apply to is Edmunds. 1 player. We traded them because the Bills front office thought they were busts. Beane didn't trade what he thought would be an All-Pro guard for a 5th round pick because it was a return in value. To quote Beane "I screwed it up". Him. Who Beane gets huge credit for drafting.
  23. So it's everyone's fault except for Knox? I don't agree but I respect your viewpoint.
  24. Well, yeah. That's what I labeled him as. "Average" Sounds like you agree with me.
