  1. You quoted an old post. As a coach you have to take everything into consideration and make a decision. Consideration #1: Allen is injured. Consideration #2: Allen hasn’t been playing well. Take those two considerations and the obvious choice to me is “kick the field goal”. If Allen wasn’t injured and Allen was playing normal MVP level, fine, go for it. But he ain’t. And there is no point in pretending that he is. So kick the field goal, considering the circumstances.
  2. Yeah he’s Marv Levy. Not Parcells. Or Belichick. Or even Reid.
  3. You’re right and it almost feels like Dorsey has no “plan”. He isn’t playing chess and setting up the defense for the next play. It almost feels like he is just calling whatever card looks good on the Madden screen.
  4. You’re right. I must of thought it was 4th and goal since EVERY SINGLE OFFENSIVE RECEIVING OPTION ran into the endzone. So much for only needing 2 yards.
  5. You don’t think we should have kicked the field goal, instead of sending your injured QB (who is also struggling in general) to try and convert 4th and goal? Not doubling Jefferson? Not calling any running plays in OT when the Vikings had 6 DB’s on the field? If not, then we can agree to disagree.
  6. The DB had clear leverage. It never ever should have been thrown.
  7. This thread may be a bit more respected now. I created this thread even when we we’re winning because bad coaching decisions can quickly lead to losing games. You can’t just excuse it away because we won the particular game the bed decision happened in. Other teams start picking up on your bad coaching tendencies and they take advantage of it. We can turn this around and make a run, but coaching needs to be better. Go Bills.
  8. I started a thread about these issues several weeks ago and got mocked endlessly.
  9. Looking at this again, Allen may have scored if he ran. He had blockers in the endzone to the left.
  10. Oh and I said to my Dad right before the endzone fumble TD that we should be in shotgun. Get the ball in Allen’s hands, 5 yards from the d-line, and let him make a decision to throw to an open guy or throw it out of bounds. Trying a QB sneak out of the end zone when our o-line had been blown up in the run game? Just awful coaching.
  11. Some really bad coaching today. Really bad. The worst part was not double covering Jefferson. Benford did an admirable job covering Jefferson 1 on 1 - the coverage was actually pretty good - but the fact is that Cousins is comfortable throwing to Jefferson when he is single covered, and rightfully so. So you should double cover him, and make Cousins hesitate to throw to him. Every big play went to Jefferson and McDermott and Frazier refused to double him. It was mind boggling.
  12. If you double Jefferson, you force Cousins to throw somewhere else. When he is single covered (even covered well), Cousins feels confident throwing to him. You HAVE to double him so Cousins feels hesitant to throw it, and McD and Frazier just refused
  13. McD and Frazier are 100% to blame for not doubling Jefferson. The coverage is good but Cousins probably wouldn’t even throw it to him if he was clearly doubled.
  14. Gabe Davis is a problem. Thankfully they didn’t review the drop but he is dropping passes every week.
  15. I think we might want to try doubling him. Putting him 1 on 1 vs Benford isn’t working.
  16. I still can’t believe after Fail Murray, that we don’t know to knock the ball down instead of try to intercept it.
  17. I was just telling my dad before the snap that I wished they were in shotgun. Allen could either throw it to a open guy, or throw it away
  18. Why is the best WR in the league single covered? Why? Why?
  19. Cam Lewis has to knock that into orbit. Not intercept it. Come on man.
