  1. Just my opinion, but I think an NFL player has to catch this.
  2. This game did feel like a continuation of 2022. As if the off-season was a long bye-week.
  3. Agreed. I also think he would have caught the ball Knox dropped in OT, had he been in the same position as Knox.
  4. This thread reminded me that Allen was something like 9/10 before Spencer Brown was bench pressed into Allen’s lap. The pressure certainly took its toll on him. Not an excuse for Allen, but a point of data.
  5. Jordan still has the heart of a lion, and I will always love him for that, but father time is slowly robbing him of his reflexes and burst.
  6. We will win plenty of regular season games, but I agree, we will not be hoisting a Lombardi trophy under McDermott’s watch. It would have been impossible for ownership to pull off and not be ridiculed endlessly if it didn’t work out, but Daboll should be our head coach right now. It is no coincidence that Josh has looked the way Josh has looked since Daboll left.
  7. Great point. Zach was due a turnover. He already had his one good drive of the game.
  8. That’s exactly right. The most likely occurrence in overtime would be an offense stalling on any given drive. It’s not the only possibility, but it’s the most likely. Therefore, given the most likely scenario, kicking off, would likely result in the Jets putting back to us. Even if we had driven the field and kicked a field goal (how many of us realistically thought our offense was getting into the end zone?), we would still need to kick off to the Jets and give them an opportunity to match or beat us. The logic, in my opinion, it’s easily favoring kicking off.
  9. Personally, I don’t think one even needs hindsight. When you have a poor offensive opponent that you have held to 13 points, the chance is high that you stall their offense on any given drive. Which would result in you getting the ball back, only needing a field goal.
  10. In no way do I think that it cost us the game, but I do believe that it was the wrong coaching decision. Against a poor offense like the Jets, I believe the proper decision is to give them the ball first, force a punt, and then play for the game winning field goal. If you’re playing a strong offense like the Chiefs, I feel the opposite would be wise. Thoughts?
  11. Jets have out-yardaged us. With Zach Wilson at QB. I hope this is rock bottom.
  12. Diggs was open crossing the field.
  13. Yeah, the Jets are Allen’s kryptonite.
  14. This. I keep reminding myself of this. The Jets have an All-Pro on all 3 levels of defense. Quinnen Williams on the d-line. Sauce in secondary. And I forget the LB’s name. They are an elite defense.
  15. Seems to have left with Daboll. Unless it’s coincidental timing.
  16. I know the bad decisions are frustrating, but try to remember, we are playing an elite defense. In my opinion, the best defense in the NFL. This is a tough row to hoe. There will be much easier row’s coming up.
  17. Rough all-22 there. There was never a moment on that route when Diggs was open.
  18. Feels like last season never ended. Just a continuation.
  19. The Jets are truly Allen’s kyrptonite.
  20. THAT play right there is why Cook is an upgrade over Singletary. Bounced it outside.
  21. Russ looks significantly better and more intimidating than last season. Leaps and bounds better. He is finally using those long arms to drive and punch.
  22. Roussoue is having an incredible game.
  23. That’s the problem. We know they have limited passing ability and we still can’t stop the run.
  24. Zach Wilson led offense is on pace for about 400 yards of offense. Not a good look for our defense.
