soft zone is not working
-
It’s clear that refs are not going to call PI tonight. But instead of seeing that and being handbag with Miami’s receivers, we are dropping back and playing soft zone. Don’t understand that. All I know if we should b-word that Allen didn’t check it down on the Diggs long pass! How dare he!
-
A lot of people on this forum wish Josh threw the 5 yard check down instead of throwing it deep to Diggs.
-
99% of this forum does not understand what an option route is. They think Allen just decided to throw it right to a Dolphin…. not that Gabe interpreted the option different than Josh.
-
Because despite what Process, Gunner, etc believe, that throw would NOT have been easy, and there is a very good chance Knox does not get the first. That throw to the flat is one of our least successful throws.
-
No, he’s not. Stop.
-
Yeah the talk should be “why does he keep throwing to Gabe”. The first throw, it was a miscommunication on an option route. Gabe and Josh are never on the same page. Second throw, Gabe trips in the endzone.
-
Nothing good comes from throwing to Gabe. Just is what it is.
-
I think we are at the point where we can’t allow Davis to have option routes. Just have him run a specific route for each play. A lot of INT’s or misses happen when Allen interprets the route option different than Davis.

Bills missed opportunity to ditch McD and sign genius Sean Payton

Agreed, and that’s honestly just the latest good decision. He is a really good coach and pulls no punches. I respect that. I won’t be surprised if Denver is a playoff team next year. -

Payton had a great season. - Won 7 of their final 11 games. - Took the Broncos offense from 16.9ppg last season to 21.4 with Payton. - Took the Broncos defense from 26th in NFL (points) last season to 14th this season The Broncos were horrible last season and Payton made them respectable in 1 offseason. Great job (and no, I don’t desire him in Buffalo). Anyone laughing at what Payton did in Denver over the past 10 months is just being ignorant. -
Not this again.

Anyone else have a good feeling about the Titans vs. Jags?

Good call. I didn’t see it happening but very happy that it is! -

I HATEEE defensive timeouts in that situation. Youre giving your opponent time to come up with a play too!!! -
I say keep the divisions and allow the division winner to get into the playoffs, but make the seeding just based on record. Aka, a division winner could be the 7th seed even.

It’s division title or bust (updates on non-Bills games)
Einstein replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was always division title or bust. -
I could see this type of performance, plus multiple weeks off, come back to bite them in the butt.

1) QB’s don’t have 180 degree field vision. They can’t see everything at one time. Not Brady. Not Kelly. Not Mahomes. Not anyone. 2) Allen was not at that point in his progression. He saw Diggs, his first read, have an open look. But by the time Diggs uncovered, three defenders were about to demolish Allen. 3) For both of these reasons, and many more, Allen did not look to Kincaid. You can find “open” receivers for every QB. But the context matters.

The video reviewer actually says something along the lines of “on second thought, this is a good play by the Patriots. It’s a tough minus (for Allen)”. Even he admits it’s horse crap to blame Allen for it, but he doesn’t remove it from the film… Another from the video. Josh didn’t hit Diggs 25 yards down field, on the run, with two defenders about to pummel him. It was a scramble drill and THIS was used as an example of Allen missing an open guy. The analysis in the video was a joke. I get that i’m an Allen homer but my goodness some of the stuff he is getting blamed for is wild.
