If the Bills win, there will be 6 teams with a 7-6 record after today. For each of the 6 teams to end up at 9-8 or worse, they would need to win 2 out of their last 4 games via any combination. Each of these scenarios has a 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/16 chance of occurring. Since there are 6 teams, you would multiply this probability by 6 to account for all 6 teams having the same chance of ending up at 9-8 or worse: 6 * (1/16) = 6/16 (or 3/8). So, there is a 3/8 or 37.5% chance that at least one team out of the 6 will end up at 9-8 or worse, which would potentially open up a playoff spot for a 9-8 team. For simplicity sake. we can multiply them together to find the probability that all 6 teams end up at 9-8 or worse: (3/8) * (3/8) * (3/8) * (3/8) * (3/8) * (3/8) = (3/8)^6 ≈ 0.00390625 So, there is approximately a 0.39% chance that all 6 teams end up at 9-8 or worse, assuming they each have a 37.5% chance of winning 2 out of their last 4 games. But of course we only need 2 teams to get to 9-8 and the remaining teams to lose more than 8. Scenario 1) 2 teams lose 8 games and 4 lose more than 8. Scenario 2) 4 teams lose 8 games, and 2 teams lose more than 8 games. 15 * (3/8)^2 * (5/8)^4 ≈ 0.1398 So, there is approximately a 13.98% chance that 2 out of the 6 teams lose 8 games, and the remaining 4 teams lose more than 8 games, That doesn’t even take into consideration the rams who currently have 7 losses and could lose just 1 more. Or tiebreakers or common games. Just saying, the probability is low. -

Every time I turn the Jags game on, Lawrence gets picked. He’s throwing them up like Peterman. -

The Texans play a terrible Titans team next week. Not sure they lose even if Stroud is out. -

Very little chance of that It would take a multitude of teams losing 2 of their last 4 games. 10-7 should make it - but due to losing nearly every tiebreaker, we can’t trust that. -

Agree with the sentiment, but an 18 point lead with 6 minutes left is even too much for the Jets. -

This Cinci game is reaffirming my belief that the Burrow is overrated. This Bengals offense is just pitch and catch. -

Is Minshew the new Fitz? He seems like an ideal backup. Good enough to win some games but not start material. -
Daboll having tension with a coach in NY too
Einstein replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes but many of us believe he would have left the Bills regardless -head coach job or not. Mostly because of the byline in the lawsuit that stated he wanted out of Buffalo no matter what. -
Updated Projectors last year. Purchased this from a university that used it in their arena. Needed freight shipping. 249 pounds of bada**ery.

Gosh, i’m pretty clueless sometimes. I also don’t understand sarcasm very well, so i’m not sure if you’re joking. House is gone or changed usernames? Or your house? I’m so confused. -

It's not just McD folks. A report today says that Daboll has friction with his DC in NY as well. ---------------------------------------------------- Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports that issues are mounting between Daboll and defensive coordinator Wink Martindale. “When I talk to people inside that organization they’re saying the tension between these two, you could feel it,” Glazer said. The Giants previously had to do the “nothing to see here” thing based on images of in-game dysfunction between Daboll and Martindale in the blowout loss to the Cowboys. Now, they’ll be cleaning up again after today’s game against the Patriots. Link ---------------------------------------------------- When asked about the tension, Martindale (the DC) said that working with Brian Daboll was different in 2022 because we were winning Link ---------------------------------------------------- Maybe this should be in the McD thread? Feel free to merge. But wanted to point out that we are not alone with tension in the organization.

Greenberg nailed that. -
This is like asking, “why did Bob Woodward spend so much time investigating Nixon”. Journalists follow stories. If there is a story brewing of people not liking a head coach, he follows it. You ask why he didn’t get Allen or Milano’s opinion. He wrote in the interview that he tried, but the Bills won’t let him “in”. You’re someone who won’t believe the story unless McD yells in your face “it’s true!”. And that’s fine. But its nonsensical IMO. And there is some positive stuff in the article. People just aren’t paying attention to it.
