  1. To quote a Chiefs fan I just read on their forum: "Allen throwing to Diggs, Kincaid and Hopkins would be a headache." Make. It. Happen.
  2. The Jets have been run incredibly well the last two years. I don't love the Rodgers move, but I think that was an ownership decision. Their other moves have been fantastic.
  3. After all the talk of how much Hopkins loves Josh... I hope he is on a plane to Buffalo right now.
  4. Yeah he definitely looks fatter than the end of last season.
  5. It really is. I can sprinkle it on anything.
  6. I take umbrage with the Cowboys being above us, but the analysis is mostly right: Buffalo Bills #6 The Bills’ roster is rock solid throughout -- with enough high-end talent to firmly crack the upper reaches of the NFL. Interestingly, there might be more (minor) concerns on offense than defense. Sure, Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs are the nerve center of an attack that has ranked in the top five in each of the last three seasons, but that group struggled somewhat down the stretch. Did the Bills do enough to add help? Rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid could solve Buffalo’s slot receiver problem, and running backs Damien Harris and Latavius Murray should prevent James Cook from being overworked. The biggest issue might be depth at receiver. Diggs is a star, but Gabe Davis is a lower-volume WR2, and the options thereafter (Khalil Shakir, Deonte Harty, Trent Sherfield, Justin Shorter) aren’t mind-blowing. We likely will see ample 12-personnel packages featuring Dawson Knox and Kincaid running together. The offensive line isn’t dominant, but it’s a respectable group. Most of the unit returns, and there’s help arriving in veterans Connor McGovern and David Edwards, along with second-rounder O’Cyrus Torrence. The Bills’ defense has depth at all three levels. Von Miller suffered a torn ACL in November, which means his status will be something to watch in camp. Yet with Greg Rousseau, A.J. Epenesa, Boogie Basham and Shaq Lawson, Buffalo could be fine here until Miller is back to 100 percent. Inside, adding Poona Ford gives the Bills a solid top three, along with Ed Oliver and DaQuan Jones. Losing Tremaine Edmunds opens a hole at middle linebacker, but the Bills appear confident they’ll find a starter opposite Matt Milano from the group of Terrel Bernard, Dorian Williams, A.J. Klein and Tyrel Dodson. The secondary should be far deeper with a healthy Tre’Davious White and Micah Hyde, along with Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford having a year under their belts. The addition of Taylor Rapp should allow the Bills to work Damar Hamlin back into the rotation only when he is ready, with both safeties providing great depth and flexibility. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-s-top-10-most-complete-teams-for-2023-season
  7. A while back I posted a thread asking for easy recipe suggestions. Forget easy recipes, just sprinkle some msg on whatever you’re eating. This stuff is like a wonder spice. Takes your wife’s 5/10 meatloaf and makes it a 9/10. Also, if you follow this recipe, you’ll make the best fried rice you’ve ever had.
  8. These articles always remind me of this South Park episode:
  9. I’m shocked that no one has mentioned The Sopranos.
  10. That would annoy me as well. The seller told you the price (you read it in the ad). And you decided to come see the item, knowing the price. If you want to bargain, let the seller know that you are not interested in paying the listed price (that is posted in the ad that you responded to) BEFORE they alter their day to accommodate you. That way, the seller can make an informed decision of whether or not they are willing to still meet you, and they have time to consider whether they would accept less. The husband is right. What you did is sort of a con. You likely didn’t tell them that you wanted a discounted price prior to meeting, because you reason that the other party will be more likely to accept your discounted offer when they are put on the spot and they’ve already altered their day to meet you. Their time is already sunk so they give in and let you pay less. Its acting in bad faith.
  11. There is a 3rd party you didn’t mention. Those of us who have no problem if others want to bargain, but be upfront about it. Not a secretive little secret squirrel.
  12. This reads like a passage in “psychiatry for dummies”.
  13. I completely forgot that we scored with 16 seconds left against the Chiefs last year. Which made me remember that McD & Frazier let the Chiefs get down the field and get a FG for the second year in a row ... this time with 16 seconds left, instead of 13 seconds. Brutal.
  14. It's all true. Remember, when Jim Brown played, football was just a part time job. Jim Houston sold insurance, and he said he made considerably more as an insurance agent than he did in the NFL. Paul Warfield sold tires. Chuck Noll worked for a freight company. John Wooton taught math at a school. When you're competing against math teachers, insurance salesman, etc ... you're going to look more dominant than if you compete against NFL defenders whose entire job is to stay as in-shape as possible. I still think Jim Brown would be quite good today, but I do not believe he would be the dominant game-changing player that many remember. It's for this same reason that I find it silly to compare players from before the mid 1970's, to any player today.
  15. He would compete today and be a good starter, but I don't think he would be as dominant as he was in the 60's. He would be Derrick Henry.
  16. You're arguing semantics. With the way the Bills play cover 1, it mimics a cover 0 as they bring the safety right into the box. I posted a video of a play later in the game where they played almost the exact same coverage. Difference being that they had a shallow safety. Fundamentally, there was no difference other than press man, as the shallow safety wouldn't have been able to be a safety outlet for all 4 receivers anyway. You can run cover 0 in the snow with press man near the goal line, because there isnt tons of field behind you to cover. The field is shrunk and and nd the QB has to get rid of the ball quick. . The difference between the 3rd and 4 play and the play you just quoted, is 2 yards. Two. One was at the 7 yard line, the other at the 5 yard line.
  17. I agree. And the Bills seem to agree as well, since the next time that situation happened, they switched to press man. Video below. I just wonder if it was Frazier who realized it and fixed it, or it McD told him not to ever do that again.
  18. I’m open to that possibility. Thank you.
  19. At midfield, yes. Not at the 7 yard line. There is not much room for the defender to even run past the DB in this part of the field (unless it’s a pylon throw or slot middle). The right call is to play press man and force Burrow to hold onto the ball a second longer. The play call they chose, gift wrapped a first down for Cinci. And the Bills agree with me. How do I know? Well, not much later in the game, the Bills defense were in almost exactly the same position. This time it was 3rd and 5 instead of 3rd and 4. And it was also in the red zone. In almost the exact same situation, the Bills played cover 0 again (or maybe it was cover 1?), but this time with press man. Any guesses as to what happened? Burrow had to hold the ball longer, waiting for his receivers to get separation. In doing so, he got hit by Ed Oliver, and barely was able to throw the ball away.
  20. Then he needs to work on not coming off as phony. I’m not the only person in this thread that feels that way about him.
  21. I wonder if there was 1 year left on his contract and the team offered to pay him to take the year off. Either way, there was no coming back from this.
