  1. How many RB's do we need!?
  2. In all practicality, he has been a free agent for over a week. He was given permission to speak to teams.
  3. Just goes to show. Intellect is only intellect to those that can understand it.
  4. This is true. I could run circles around him intellectually all day.
  5. Mixed with a bit of Tu Quoque. Rigotz is assuming we get a “premium” pick for Davis. If that we’re certain, he’d be already traded.
  6. Because McDermott’s seat is getting warmer (even if people don’t want to believe it).
  7. If nothing else, that certainly does sound like Beane.
  8. Why would Leveon Bell turn down a great contract from the Steelers, sit out nearly the entire year, then take less from the Jets? Players just do dumb things sometimes.
  9. You mean like this? https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/topic/247798-reasons-for-optimism-pessimism/?do=findComment&comment=8414573
  10. I think I would too. However, the flip side to that is... As a GM and Head Coach, you have to wonder how long you can let a HOF'er sit before the fans uproar so loud (via loss of ticket sales as well as verbally), that you yourself are on the hot seat.
  11. I've always wondered what would happen if a HOF QB (like Brady or Manning or Mahomes) pulled a power move, asking for something crazy like $100M per season and not playing until they get it. What would the Chiefs do? You're fresh off of a Super Bowl and Mahomes is in his prime, and you let him sit? Waste a year (or more if he's stubborn) of his prime? QB's seem to be the least likely players to use their power.
  12. We were discussing "big" signings. Not average-to-good signings that turned a middling team into a playoff team. I have a proclivity to following the conversation, yes.
  13. Yeah it's worth a lower draft pick. If teams had equal odds (or even close to equal odds) to win the Super Bowl, by simply making the playoffs, then you would see a large variety of teams winning the Super Bowl. Instead, five teams have won 13 of the last 20 Super Bowl's. Because there is a formula to Super Bowl teams. And just making the playoffs is not the formula.
  14. I'd re-evaluate what you think you "know". I am not a contrarian, I am a realist. There are people who agree with me, and to them I would be a conformist. I am only a contrarian to you (and other homers) because I do not prescribe to what you think is true..
  15. I mentioned Diggs in the post you quoted. Did you bother reading the entire thing? Great. So in 6 years of being GM, he has made TWO big moves.
  16. Beane strikes again. He means what he says when he talks about being conservative and building to be "good" every year. Unfortunately, that also means rarely ever making a splash and going for it all. Did you see how he talked about the 4th round pick he gave up last month to move up in the draft? You would have thought he was talking about giving up his dog. He seemed so solemn about it. Quite frankly I'm shocked that he ever built up the balls to trade for Diggs.
  17. In a league that lacks quality o-line talent, why was he still available this late in the offseason?
