  1. Did anyone see the hands to the face? The lack of any replay is making it hard.
  2. Sorry but Poyer is sloooooow.
  3. Replays are non existent today, I guess.
  4. I miss CBS. The NFL Network broadcast is rough.
  5. The Jags do have weapons. Ridley is a very good receiver.
  6. That’s ALL reporters now. Drives me nuts. Have you listened to a McD post game press conference? Instead of the reporter asking “What did you think of Allen’s play this week”? They will instead ask “Given his struggles in Week 1, and your comments indicating that he must play better, what do you make of it that Allen had 3 touchdowns today and only 2 incompletions? What does that say about him as a player and competitor and leader?” I genuinely do not understand why they do it other than to drive me crazy.
  7. None of this changes the fact that a d-line can either get pressure without db help or they can’t. Synergy is not the conversation. Individual component effectiveness is. It’s akin to saying “XYZ quarterback can either make plays with a bad o-line or they cant” and someone responding “QB play and line play is synergetic”. Well, yeah… it is… but that doesn’t change the. fact that either the QB can make plays with a bad o line or they can not.
  8. I called the Bills about this the other day. No one knows.
  9. Either your pass rush can get home independent of pass coverage or it can't.
  10. To be honest I don't agree with PFF's take on our pass rush. It doesnt match with what i've seen on the field. However, I think we find out if they're correct this week. Tre is obviously out and Benford is practicing with a red jersey, so he may be out. If the pass rush is really a benefit of great coverage then we may realize it on Sunday morning.
  11. Agreed, definitely not $12-$15/mo. From what i've heard teams are paying over $100k for the data.
  12. The Bills pay for it. The PFF metrics are essentially indicating that Ed Oliver is doing well due to DaQuan Jones dominance next to him. They have Jones as a top 5 DT in the entire NFL - right next to Aaron Donald and Chris Jones. Oliver is tied for 27th in QB hurries. He is 24th in hits. PFF has graded Mahomes fairly poorly this season. He is tied with Kirk Cousins. .
  13. Just because you do not like or agree with the grades do not mean that they are trash. Every single NFL team as well as 80+ college teams pay PFF for their data. And it's not because these teams like to waste money.
  14. Yes, I can confirm this is true. I have to dig into the numbers to see why (on the road right now). Edit; PFF is assigning much of our pass rush success to excellent coverage.
  15. Benford is practicing in a red jersey too. We may be quite thin on defense.
  16. The problem with Jacksonville is they have Josh Allen too. And when Josh Allen faces Josh Allen it creates a bubble in the very fabric of spacetime which confobulates the time continuum, resulting in scenarios where even Urban Meyer can beat us. in this dimension ducks might wear top hats, fish might serenade the moon with love songs, and Sean McDermott is a humble flea merchant. Trust me, i'm Einstein.
  17. To begin, yes. Problem is the fans who have been throwing back brewskis since 1pm tend to crash around 10pm.
  18. Transcript for those who can't watch: "We went into a very hostile environment... I will say this, those fans really brought their A game. It was so loud, I could barely hear Tua the first play of the game. That caused a lot of miscommunication of the offensive side of the ball. Their fans made it so hard for us to hear the play call. You know how I like do motion, and I almost can time it. I can hear the center, or I can hear Tua. I couldn't even tell like when the ball was snapped at times. That's how loud their fans was."
  19. Players Philanthropy Fund is the sponsor of Tre's charity, and collects a 6% fee of all deposits (yes, about $2 of every $27 donation goes to the sponsor). It's essentially a 501(c)(3) vehicle so that players do not have to do the paperwork of setting up a trust. It's administrative. They, however, do not decide where the money goes or how it is used and the player can choose to end the sponsorship with a 60 days notice at any time.
  20. I thought people would have learned when $100,000 of Bills fan donations to Andy Daltons charity went to "management". It's not entirely surprising. Some reports have shown that 3/4 of athlete charities do not meet typical nonprofit standards. In my opinion, people are MUCH better off sending Tre a "get well better" card to Two Bills Drive (these do reach the players), and then donating dollars to a real established foundation that has a history of high donation-to-giving ratios.
  21. This thread reminds me of the pure hopelessness of teams that don't have a franchise QB. It's only been 6 years since the drought yet i've already forgotten how people can stand to sit through a season where the team clearly has no chance of competing for a Super Bowl.
  22. He has 21 days to be activated to the roster once the team takes him off of PUP. However, the team can technically keep him on PUP as long as they want. For example: My personal desire was for him to stay on PUP another 4 to 5 weeks, then allow him to practice for 21 days, and then he plays his first game against the Chiefs on December 10th. That scenario would give us a healthy Von Miller for the home stretch (Chiefs, Cowboys, Chargers, Patriots, Dolphins) and the playoffs. I see a lot of benefit in a fresh, healthy, rested (very little wear and tear from the season) elite pass rusher for the playoff run. However, judging by McDermott’s comments, it sounds like he is coming off PUP this week. Maybe already has.
  23. Is this real or sarcasm? I’m not good at telling. I would find that rude. Leave him be. A paper airplane thrown/glided from your seat to his is probably okay though. .
  24. Schematically there is not much of a difference. But there are definitely some nuanced changes there. Three of the 5 are at 15% and the average of the other 4 is 16.9%. Brown is nearly 10 percentage points higher.
