President Elect Donald J. Trump
ArdmoreRyno replied to Beast's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I wonder what they'll (The View loons) say about how nearly HALF of the Latino vote went to Trump. -

I'm recording "The View" today... for the first time in my life. I can't wait to see the complete meltdown. LOL THIS IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
I think we could get someone like Oklahoma State alum, Zac Robinson in to take over and we'd be fine.
-
Nah. Times have changed. OSU has the facilities now, we've established the Texas pipeline of players. If schools like Indiana, Duke, SMU, etc. can do it... Oklahoma State can do it. We've been a solid program since the early 80's. One exception was when we got the 2nd worst NCAA probation after SMU's death penalty.

Khalil Mack trade - what would it take?
ArdmoreRyno replied to MiracleAtRich1393's topic in The Stadium Wall
AJ: 11 solo tackles, 4 sacks, 2 FF (26 years old) Mack: 10 solo tackles, 3 sacks, 1 FF (33 years old) Yea... no thanks. -
1996: Twister was released in theaters. OSU, OU and Tulsa went a combined 12-21, none with a winning record. 2024: Twisters was released. OSU, OU and Tulsa have a combined 10-14 with no winning record. As an Oklahoma State fan, alum and season ticket holder... I expected OSU to end up in the Playoffs. We returned practically EVERYONE. PFF (preseason) #1 OL, #1 RB, top 10 LB corp, top 15 WR group. We suck ass. We both suck this year. I didn't see OU with a winning season. My youngest goes to Ole Miss and I follow them closely (I was actually at the OU/Ole Miss game last weekend). I knew OU would struggle with all they lost on the OL and having a brutal SEC schedule. Did I expect them to have the same number of SEC wins as OSU? No. But man.

But I don't want Gundy anymore. He's too loyal to his coaches and too stubborn to change. We have (literally) the worst DC in college football. We have a clueless OC. He won't fire either.

Oklahoma State sucks. That's all. That's the post.

I think it doesn't matter. I don't have the run in front of me but they talked about it after the Ok State/Tech game that "why not fair catch it on every online kick" and then they talked about needing to change the rule because it would mean you'd never get an onside kick. According to the NCAA rule book, “a fair catch of a free kick is a catch by a Team B player who has made a valid signal during an untouched free kick.” Additionally, the rule book states that “during a free kick, a player of the receiving team in position to receive the ball has the same kick-catch and fair-catch protection whether the ball is kicked directly off the tee or is immediately driven to the ground, strikes the ground once and goes into the air in the manner of the ball kicked directly off the tee.” https://sports.yahoo.com/oklahoma-state-player-uses-fair-catch-to-exploit-rule-book-and-ruin-a-texas-tech-onside-kick-202747283.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAADwcFLR2SdnxeNPspmaziXC5vsrqH1i6Vw1-KJYotVLYNjNKq6BgUnqW0rIYJTNiFLuodq_BbbpWkIin05K7LjRulKL4ysxUsqq9zXOrkrui_gOAqUkW3gRD9vMg3jO3sCmQuhn4O0YTJ-YyW4kFY5ndlCmOzASIvwRm3waFtY5R

It's been a rule for a while. My Pokes did it a couple of years ago against Texas Tech...

Will/can we make a move for a WR1 before the trade dealine?
ArdmoreRyno replied to ArdmoreRyno's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't live on the board and I don't have time to dig into a 500 post thread. Was just asking since this just happened (Adams). Sorry to bother you... -
I remember when CMC came up two years ago and there was talk about us getting him... which clearly didn't work (worked great for SF). And once again, we are in for a big-time player and we strike out again. Can we make a move? Will we? I just keep getting my hopes up to only be crushed. We seriously need a WR1 (not telling anyone anything that you guys don't already know). We have a bunch of solid football players on our team but no super-star at the WR position. It's discouraging to see teams like Baltimore, San Francisco, Philly get all these super-stars but we always end up short. I know it's "look to next year" for us, but Josh isn't getting any younger.

Yep. Going from a losing team to another losing team. Jets aren't making the Playoffs.
-
So... who's available for trade before Nov. 1st who's a WR1? DK?

One month left Maga and you’re done!

So when will we see Ryan Williams at Kansas City playing for the Chiefs?

Clearly no one cares. But where in Arkansas did you move? I drive through there often on my way to Oxford, MS from S. Oklahoma. My youngest daughter is a Senior at Ole Miss. Just drove back through yesterday. I usually stop and stay in Clarksville on my way east.

Which college players are you most interested in (in 2024)

New dude on the radar... and he's just a freshman. Kennedy Urlacher. Dude is a BEAST. He's going to be a top draft pick. -

Colin Oliver (LB/DE) - Oklahoma State Nick Martin (LB) - Oklahoma State Oliver got hurt last weekend against Arkansas when he crashed down on the Hogs QB and caused an interception, likely out for the year with a broken bone, but the dude is a BEAST. He was the Big XII FOY two years ago. He gets 100%, he could be a 1st rounder. Martin is just a buzzsaw. He is 3rd in the nation in solo tackles (15). His teammate, Trey Rucker (S) is 1st. But Martin flies to the ball and is the leader of the defense.
