  1. It's CRAZY to see Ollie Gordon III at 19. Dude was unstoppable in 2023. 1700+ rushing, 21 touchdowns in like 9 games... 2000+ total yards. Last year, his OL was a massive disappointment and was keyed on. He might be like a Chuba Hubbard (another former Oklahoma State RB). Chuba was a 2,000 yard rusher his sophomore season season at OSU (also with 21 TDs). He went from 2,000 yards to barely 600 his next year. Hubbard is turning out to be a solid RB for the Panthers.
  2. I got to watch Jaxson Dart and Tre Harris up close at Ole Miss. BOTH would be great additions. Of course, Dart if we can get him in a later round. He's an EXTREMELY accurate QB and would be a good backup to Josh. We need a QB similar to Josh if he ever (got help me) got hurt. Harris, when he was healthy, was nearly unstoppable. Dude was a beast on the field.
  3. Not sure if this has been posted... but how in the world does the only official who has the ball-side view of the play... mark the ball... and then it changes???
  4. Unless Kansas City is offering a 1.5 or earlier... never trade with them again. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever. Ever.
  5. This is 100% pure opinion. It would be like my saying our 2021 Bills would have won the Super Bowl if we didn't f'up the final 13 seconds of that game. We think that, but we really don't know. We will never know. You have an opinion, so do I. Those are actually the only facts here... aside from me saying OSU was as close as you could get from playing in the title game as one could get. Twice. You, for some reason, are saying that's untrue ("Oklahoma State hasn't had a team capable of winning a national championship"). I can post the final BCS Standings in 2011 to show the actual truth of the matter to prove you flat out wrong. I can also post articles to the 2021 season pre-Big XII championship game and the final 4 spot to the CPF being between OSU and Cincinnati. OSU has been EXTREMELY close over the past 13 seasons. As for TCU, they did beat Michigan. My point was, having more talent and more stars (recruitment-wise) does not equal wins. They had way less talent than Michigan... and won. Another great example is Oklahoma State vs Texas from like 2010. Texas recruiting classes were HEADS above OSU's. Way more NFL talent. The recruiting budget between UT and OSU is astronomical. But for some reason... the Pokes went 9-5 vs Texas over those 14 years (including six straight in Austin). Talent doesn't = wins. That's why Oklahoma State could have and would have won in 2011 (We would have lost in 2021, IMO, but it would have been a good fight thanks to the defense).
  6. What's funny.... you can play make-believe all you like. You can say ***** like "Alabama's 3rd string..." but guess what? They didn't play. Having NFL talent doesn't = wins. Teams with way better talent lose ALL THE TIME. Look at TCU v Michigan a couple of years ago... or Boise State vs OU in the Fiesta. OSU has coached up lesser talent. Period. You are clearly just a hater. Somewhere in your past, Oklahoma State did something to really hurt you. Maybe show us on the doll where that happened? You're here 'freaking out' when I say anything. So much, I talk about the 2021 season and you go off about a completely different year. Why? What did the Cowboys do to you or your family? In 2021, they beat 5 ranked teams. They also beat Notre Dame, who was very much in the Playoff talks... as was OSU. This is how uneducated you are. Baylor finished 7th in the final CFP polls, Notre Dame finished 5th. They also beat OU, who was in the top 10 for a few weeks (finished 16th). You can throw out all the crap you want, I'll just throw out FACTS to prove you wrong. That OSU defense gave up a total of 5 touchdowns in the 2nd half in their final 12 weeks. In many games, they shut out their opponents completely after halftime. Again, the 2nd best defense in college football in 2021. And in 2011, we were 0.086 points from playing LSU for a national title. It was the closest margin in BCS history and (again) a major reason we have a Playoff today. So you're bullsh*t of "Oklahoma State hasn't had a team capable of winning a national championship since the 1940's" is just you being a complete and utter MORON because it's literally untrue. They've been extremely close, twice, of having that chance. You could go off on Vandy and say that, but not the program who has been pretty much top 10 in wins since the mid-2000's. Again, you need to take a Xanax. Why you feel you need to be a complete dick, I don't get.
  7. Huh? 12-2 season, was 1" from making the CFP (lost in the Big XII Championship game when our backup RB was just 1" short of scoring. Our #1 RB, Jaylen Warren was hurt and couldn't play that game). We faced Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl and shut them out in the 2nd half to win, after getting being down 28-7. The defense on that team was 2nd to only Georgia. We lost our DC at the end of the season to Ohio State (Jim Knowles). Oklahoma State, since Gundy got his system in place, has been one of the top programs in football in regards to winning. He's had 2 losing seasons in 20 years (year one and last year). You're a moron. Well, your sentence makes no sense. Might want to re-word it. And when he was ALIVE, T.Boone donated to our school for facilities, both academic and athletic. He helped pay for the stadium overhaul. He wasn't alive to help pay players to come to the school. Unfortunately.
  8. https://www.cleveland.com/osu/2024/12/how-michigan-football-spent-millions-to-flip-bryce-underwood-its-qb-of-the-future.html
  9. You feel the current system of the schools with the big donors, kids making $10,000,000 to play for a school (pay to play) is the best option? With zero limits?
  10. Well, I think you can cap it. It would just take some changes and legal contracts. If you can put it in writing and if all parties agree, could probably have a cap of some sort. Or say you want to play NCAA sports, included in your scholarship contract is an clause that you do agree to the Big10, SEC, Big XII "NIL cap" or however you word it. As of now, the NIL is different based on the State your college is in. "Individuals can engage in NIL activities that are consistent with the law of the state where the school is located." If the states want things to change and it's done via legislation... it'll be hard for any court to stop it.
  11. You had a logical reply until that. Teams like the 2011 Oklahoma State team or even the 2021 team, could have and would have beat about anyone in the country. 2011 was the best offense in football, by far. 2021, arguably the best defense in college football.
  12. Not sure where I come across "mad" about the changes. Again, the topic of this post was the portal and changes to college football and how to 'fix it'. I was commenting on the landscape and future of the game and I'm 100% right. If you don't have a T. Boone (which we don't anymore), Phil Knight, Dave Portnoy, etc. as an active booster who is willing to dish out tens of millions... your program will likely be a non-factor for any high profile recruits. Seems the world of college football agrees because we are getting a cap on these things soon (see article I posted). Anyway, go take your Xanax.
  13. No, it hasn’t. https://www.dailycardinal.com/article/2024/11/salary-caps-are-coming-to-college-sports-heres-how-uw-madison-may-be-impacted
  14. Boy, I touched a nerve. Holy *****. Someone posted about the portal, I gave an example of NIL money and what to do with the portal... and you go off on a half-a-paragraph rant. Chill-TF-out
  15. Everything needs to be fixed. Portal and the NIL. We need to cap the NIL. It's too much like the Wild Wild West. People like Dave Portnoy (and another booster, don't remember) are paying $10,500,000 for the #1 QB in high school. Oklahoma State's entire 2023 NIL fund? $5.3 million. Need to cap the NIL or it's going to destroy smaller programs who don't have the massive donors. If T. Boone was still alive, OSU could compete with programs like Texas and Michigan. But now, we can't. As for the portal, needs to be a one time deal or you sit out a year.
  16. Definitely are my 2nd favorite team. I was lucky enough to get to watch the greatest RB due in NCAA history at Oklahoma State... Thurman Thomas then Barry Sanders. Thurman is the reason I'm a Bills fan all these years later, but I really enjoyed following Barry's career. Then a few years ago, the Lions drafted Malcom Rodriquez from Oklahoma State and the due was a STEAL in the draft. He's a baller, even as small as he is. So I want him to do well... hate that he torn his ACL a couple of weeks ago. The only other team I rooted/pulled for was the Steelers, when they drafted both Mason Rudolph and James Washington in the same draft. I quickly learned that the Steelers have the worst fans in the NFL. By far.
  17. Guess you skipped over my reply to my topic at 10:40 a.m. Saturday?
  18. Now it seems like all the sources were incorrect. Apparently Gundy has requested "more time" to consider the change in his contract. Never said he was a terrible coach. He is one of the best in college football between 2004-2021. The NIL world and portal world has changed that. He's old school. He hasn't adapted and not sure he will.
  19. Oklahoma State BOR gave him until 5 pm. CST to accept a restructured contract and Gundy declined it. Seems he's out at Stillwater after 20 seasons. Zac Robinson is the leading candidate to take over in Stillwater.
  20. 1. Oklahoma State My grandfather graduated from OSU back when it was still Oklahoma A&M, in 1944. My dad graduated from OSU in 1974 and I graduated from OSU in 1998 (took my 5 years... I partied too much). I'm an alumni, season ticket holder to football games (used to have basketball tickets when I lived in the Tulsa area). Thurman Thomas was the reason I became a Bills fan. Followed him out of college and fell in love with the Bills. I was 12 at the time. Should have won a National Championship in football in 2011 (best team that year). OSU has the 4th most NCAA titles in the country and the most outside the state of California. Won championships in football, basketball, baseball, wrestling, golf, tennis and cross country. One of the top 2-3 softball programs in the country as well. Just an AWESOME athletic university that people don't realize how dominate they actually are. 2. Ole Miss It's funny because I love Miss State fans. They are a lot like Oklahoma State fans... ag school and most of the students are small-town kids. My youngest daughter wanted to get out of Oklahoma to go to college and she fell in love with Mississippi and Oxford. I, by default, root for the Rebels. I've been to half-a-dozen games over the years and absolutely love the tailgating at The Grove and the atmosphere of that little town. Stillwater has a population of 50,000 (75,000 when school is in session)... and Oxford feels like it's twice the size. But, Oxford's population is more than half of OSU's (27,000). Night games at the Vaught is cool AF. 3. Army The Army/Navy game IS THE BEST RIVARLY in college football. I love that game and love following the little team. I'm former Army so of course, I have to root for them. Jeff Monken is their head coach and his brother, Todd, was a big part of Oklahoma State's rise to football glory in the early 2000's then again when OSU was fighting to play for the BCS Championship in 2011. That said, I also pull for Navy when they aren't playing Army. Charlie Weatherbie coached Navy for 7 years. He's a former Oklahoma State QB.
  21. I wish. I love Gundy but I feel the game has passed him by. He's not NIL ready and I don't think he ever will be ready. Too old-school. Oklahoma State needs a coach like Deion. A jazzy/flashy coach who can bring in the $$$$. T. Boone died 5 years too early. If he was still alive, Oklahoma State would be paying Michigan-type money for top players. Zero doubt he would buy a National Championship contending program.
  22. But seriously, thank you to all fellow vets on the page! US Army 88m/11c (1996-2001)
  23. That's what I keep explaining to my wife when we're in bed together...
  24. So... he's going to keep a campaign promise? Crazy! I can't believe he's not going to allow millions of people who are breaking federal law to continue to break our laws. How dare him! The ones who voted.. they should all be here legally and allowed to legally vote. He's talking about the ones who are NOT allowed to vote and are here ILLEGALLY.
